Great place for community and Veterans especially. Was well received free pool table and tons of events all month.

This place isn't a home for veterans. It's more of a thug hangout drinking at vfw prices. Horrible bartenders and staff. I wouldn't recommend this place if it was the last bar on earth. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. These people are racist, rude, disrespectful. They don't respect the contract. They operate by threats. Over charge for the rental of the hall. They do not respect the hours agreed on. Very very bad experience after bringing them a lot of clientele they still kept changing the agreement and threatening to shut my party down all because people would walk outside to get fresh air. And drink water from water bottles. Not alcohol but water. At the end of the night they still wrapped it up over a whole hour before the agreed time and what was paid for. Don't book here. We had my brother's funeral reception here about a month ago and Nancy was amazing start to finish she communicated everything to me kept me updated and was so great to us! She also bartended our event with another gentleman and they were both great and very friendly. Definitely was a great experience! Thank you for your help Nancy! read more

In response to a couple of post. One, we were called rude and racist. Not sure where that comes from?? We did everything possible to treat them as well as their guest with respect. The water comment is also not accurate. Guest were bring water in and they were asked not to. Yes they were also found drinking alcohol in the parking lot. The individual that rent the hall was approached very politely and advised of what was found and asked to speak with her guest. Closing down the party early was a complete and utter fallacy. The bartender, as is done in all bars called for "last call". As in all bars last call doesn't mean you have to leave. It simply means it is your last chance to purchase a drink and settle your tab should you have one. Unfortunately the individual responsible refused to listen to the explanation even thought they did purchase an another round still felt they were being forced to leave. Two male family members got involved. One attempted to fight me. The other grabbed our commander shirt. Once they put hands on one of us then they were told to leave. Then their violence escalated. One male through a bottle of beer across the room and continued to dump a bucket of beers on the floor. Yes as stated, guest did attend. Not as many as we were told when the contract was signed and of those in attendance not all were buying drinks because they were illegally drinking beer in the parking lot until they got caught. Over priced is a huge exaggeration. I urge you to try and find a hall that can accommodate what was being asked of us at a lower price than we can offer!! 2nd review Claims we are unethical and don't follow the signed contract agreement. Yes we were order per a lawsuit to pay even though it was stated that she did not want to take money from the Veterans?? I am not sure what is unethical about following the process of the judicial system. The system that gives all Americans the same opportunities. The very opportunities that each and every one of us have because of the sacrifices made but the very people that are being sued. The veterans who have fought for our rights and freedoms. It is a right of appeal that has been chosen and yet somehow that is unethical. It isn't unethical to sue because you do not wish to follow the signed agreement. This is a NON-PROFIT organization that works hard to support our veterans and the local community. It makes it difficult to follow through with being able to do so when or if we are forced to pay on frivolous lawsuits. Just because you couldn't decorate when you wanted is not a sufficient reason to ignore the terms of the contract you signed. read more

As mentioned in my initial review, I took the VFW to small claims court, and the judgment was made in my favor. The VFW was ordered to pay me $1,030. However, they continue to act unethically and are refusing to pay what is owed. We now have to go back to court in July. I strongly recommend that you do not book any events at this venue. read more

Great Place to come to feel welcome , meeting new veterans every time, Join them on December 9th for a christmas party

I would give this place a zero. Zero for the majority customers and the bartender. They are red neck and racists. It was karaoke night. I went there and sat down tonight. While I was eating my food, a man came to me and told me to go sit somewhere. They are going to have more people coming. In fact there were no other people coming. I told him I have to finish my dinner, besides there was not even a reservation sign on the table. When I finished eating, I stood up and asked the DJ where should I sit, she told the table behind. I sat down with my service dog, another woman with a cane came to me, and told me to sit somewhere else, I told her my dog didn't bother you. Why would became her problem. The bartender tried to intervene me, and said I should move the dog few inches toward to another person. The man then said I could go sit at another table. I told him, "are you my father telling me to move two times?"The old woman with the cane stood there and looked at me. I asked her why did she stood there and looked at me again. Then she held up her cane tried to hit me three times. I told her from the first time I knew she was mean. At the end the bartender, Becky told me to leave. Why would I come to this place full of nasty people? They don't have any manners. Low class place. read more

Went to a LA DWP retirement party last weekend and the place was real Kool.the bartender at the hall was extremely nice and made nice drinks.also walked into the bar the people and bartender was really friendly.looking forward to going back soon read more
