Part 2 was held the day before I inquired when webinar would be offered a second time only to miss it the day earlier. The invite was buried in bottom of an email and I missed it. My daughter never reads their boring newsletters. Never attended any webinars, chapter events or meet anyone. Total desert and waste. NOT RENEWING. We get more benefit from a Costco membership.

Absolutely insulting and abhorrent conduct. Their "non-profit" status should also be heavily scrutinized. Update: Paid testing fee on 12/8/20, filed complaint online on 4/07/21. Refund processed on 4/19/21 and received on 4/20/21.

He says it's a nice place, about as divey as where we were at the time, and after he said he'd drive, I said "sure, why not" Get there, walk in, and he's right. It's not bad at all. It's old inside and the last remodel looks like it was back in the 70's, but I never really care about that stuff. It was a weekend night and there were quite a few people there. Bartenders were quick and friendly. No draft beer, but a pretty stocked full bar so no complaints. One thing I really ended up liking best about this place, was it's a mostly older crowd. Majority of people, I'd guess, 40's and up, maybe upper 30's in the least. I'm bad with ages. Everyone was friendly. Looks like a big regular crowd, seemed everyone knew each other. People doing Karaoke in the corner. Everyone was having a good time. Didn't see any people having drama or walk in misfits making trouble. Bit of a drive for me, but might make this more of a first stop on the weekend place. Drinks were reasonable.

The downside is that the meeting place is the coffee shop inside the Barnes and Noble Booksellers. Sometimes they get crowded (with non chess players) and you can't find a table to play, but since this rarely happens it's usually not a problem. I do like the ready supply of coffee and pastries for purchase, and the people which come out to play are usually friendly and helpful. These factors are enough to keep me coming back.
