The food menu is somewhat limited, but what we ordered was really good. I started with a non-alcoholic Lagunitas Hazy IPA, which was excellent. It had some refreshing fruity notes and was a great choice. I ordered the orange chicken. It was well done and definitely good, although it didn't quite have that "wow" factor. My buddy ordered the small nachos with added beef, and those were absolutely the way to go! The "small" size was huge, loaded with toppings, and packed with flavor. I sampled a few and would definitely recommend them. There wasn't any live music on Friday night when we visited, but it looks like they have live music fairly often throughout the week, which would be a fun bonus. Service was excellent--friendly, attentive, and helpful with recommendations. If you're in Custer, this is definitely a place worth checking out!

This place was amazing and the price to enter was very inexpensive also Seniors receive a $2.00 discount. This is a non-political museum that everyone would enjoy. I am not sure where to start but to begin with they have a beautiful Presidential podium in front of the White House Press Room where you can stand and take a photo. Next you sit down and watch a short film on the wax sculpture process and the history of the artist in the museum. You then continue seeing wax sculptures of all the presidents in different settings. Every setting was amazing and very professionally done. The museum exceptionally clean and very high quality. The exhibits were amazing. No woke! We will definitely return in the future.

Candles, kitchen wares, books, home deco, clothing, you name it, A Walk In the Woods has it. The staff is always pleasant and happy to strike up a conversation. A Walk in the Woods is a great respite from the hustle and bustle of Main Street and touristy shops. It's a breath of fresh air. I highly recommend popping in to get something to remind you of your vacation, or maybe you just forgot your chapstick or hand lotion, or maybe you need a gift for the pet sitter back home. They had a room filled with curated items that we saved prior to Carrie's house burning down. They also have a room filled with local keystone historical items from both settlers and Native Americans. GPS brought us close but not directly to the location but we could easily see how to get the last few hundred feet. Another hidden gem. The volunteer at the door helped guide us and gave us background that wasn't written on any of the exhibits. The classrooms upstairs look like the students just left the room. Great place to visit for local history.
