Like most vfw it's not fancy but it does what it needs to do. They had corn beef and cabbage for st party's and it was free. Bartenders where friendly and so was the clientele. Could be cleaner but we didn't mine. Nice stop on a long ride. read more

My daughter recently donated lots of fairly high priced specialty cat food. Her elderly cat had liver disease. I went to the nearest donation spot as per their website. I requested a donation receipt but were told that they didn't have any. I sent an email about getting a donation receipt. and their response, from a Board Member: "We are a 501C, a non profit organization. We take donations in the donation barrels set up throughout the area. We do not give receipts, especially since most donations are anonymous." So, duh, most donations would be anonymous since there is nothing in place to identify a donor... seems like a lazy thing that could easily be rectified. But, nonetheless, donate your pet stuff here if you can.

I ordered a chicken breast and it came out 90 minutes after I ordered it. It was cold. The only thing good about it was the seasoning and even that was mediocre. In the past I've had a few steaks. Every single time they were overcooked. I also waited anywhere from 60 minutes to, brace yourself, 180 minutes to be served a "medium rare" steak that was medium well instead. If you ever want to experience fine dining, this place is not it. Spend your money elsewhere and avoid at all costs.
