The ronald mc Donald house is a home away from home for families with children being treated at…read morenearby hospitals (children's, cardinal glennon, Shriners etc) who are not from the St. Louis area. The house is new with all of the necessary facilities to accommodate ppl with disabilities. There is also a wing of guest rooms oriented at immunosuppressed guests. The house offers many services other than just lodging. 1 chef prepared meal/day, access to 24 grab and go food, indoor play and recreation areas and shuttle services to and from hospitals. There is also access to tickets to local attractions like zoo, city museum, magic house etc. The facility is beautiful, welcoming and an emotional shelter for ppl going thru the trauma of a sick child. I work as a volunteer at the reception desk a couple times/month but have been involved with the house since 1985 in one way or another!

The staff at Ronald McDonald house are so nice and supportive not only of the family's but also of all the volunteers that come and help. Shout out to Chef Matt and Chef Tony for letting us come and help and teaching us how to work in a commercial kitchen.

The margarita was fire and by fire, I mean DELICIOUS! My seats were perfect, and even though I've been to The Muny several times, I was surprised to find out they have a restaurant! I also loved the live music playing before the show even started. The whole atmosphere was such a vibe! Definitely another great experience at The Muny, and I can't wait to come back for another show!

Parking can be a little crazy, but we were able to park in the lower and free parking lot. If you are disabled, you may want to get there extremely early or have someone drop you off. Even the closest disabled parking spot, it's still going to be a bit of a walk. There are lots of ramps and special disabled seating, if needed. Otherwise expect steps without a railing. The staff is very accommodating. There's really not a bad seat in the house, even the free seats are fairly good. The seats are quite close together so if you are a larger person, it's a tight fit if you have people on either side. The performance was incredibly professional and very good. The sound system and lighting were just right. I believe most shows start at 8 PM and have an intermission. When the shows are rather full, expect quite a wait to depart the area. It's definitely a must do in the Summer.

The members are always friendly and it truly is a country club where everyone enjoys the amenities together. From the new pickle-ball groups, tennis, golf leagues, bocce league etc...there is not a shortage of things to do.
