I had recently went…read moreto the Scout shop off of Page and it had a sign on it that said they had moved to this location. I came here after seeing that sign and was blown away. The old shop was a basic office space that had a scout shop crammed and jammed into it as what felt like a second thought. This space is awesome and the best scout shop I have ever seen. You may ask how many I have seen and this is only the second but it is just awesome. Also the people are so super friendly and I love that they wear their uniforms to work everyday because they are all members of the BSA. Just awesome. I also bought a nice Eagle scout Ball cap and a Scout beanie that has LED lights in it to see while wearing it. The prices are not bad and they have so much equipment and items for scouts that it made my head spin. The guy who checked me out helped me get info on getting a new Eagle scout ID card and congratulated me on being an Eagle scout before he said much of anything else to me other than asking how I was that day. Great place and got me a little stoked about getting back into scouts.

You can easily get overwhelmed with the amount of things that are tied in with the scouts. Staff was friendly but at times a little too "sales driven" when recommending things. Besides the pushiness of buying things, they were friendly and helpful with finding things. Other than that it is a nice shop where you can find almost anything cub/boys scouts. I even found me a nice "Mama Bear" canvas bag.

To say that they were grateful is an understatement. The appreciation and love we were shown was beyond what I imagined. Amazing organization giving to the children in the City of St. Louis. This group provides free…read moreuniforms and books to school age children in the At-Risk areas of the city. They have an entire uniform store where the kids get to try on clothes with a personal shopper. All of the items are wrapped up, labeled, and sent back to school with the staff. They even add a book into the bag for each child. Volunteers run the Free Uniform Store. They had to be the nicest group of volunteers I have ever meet. The whole operation runs like a well-oiled machine. The building is well organized, clean, and inviting. They have other outreach programs as well, such as Operation Hug and Hospital Activity Kits. According to their website they are 100% St. Louis Based and 100% Volunteer Run. I plan on donating to this group...they are truly touching lives right here in St. Louis.
