The location is quite large with a large bar top, a pool table and a video gambling room. Our server was very friendly and helpful with recommendation's. The food was actually quite good! Consisting of big hand made pizzas and a host of perfectly fried options, we were impressed and full when we left! My only knock would be that men's bathroom! Yikes we're lucky we went to the bar first, because if I had gone into that bathroom ahead of time, no way we would've stayed and eaten. Only one of the four bulbs above the mirror worked and it was filthy with cleaning rags on the countertop. Overall food was very good and inexpensive, while the staff had that classic southern hospitality! Just avoid the men's restroom.

I think it was just over $6 for the burger. No sides included. When I went to pick it up there were a few tables seated, mostly families. It was pretty dark inside but very comfortable and welcoming. I was greeted and taken care of quickly. They didn't give me any napkins and I didn't think to ask until I took my first bite and bbq sauce was everywhere. I wasn't a fan of the sauce. It was too spiced and very thick. Like a cheap grocery store brand. The burger was just ok. Kind of dry. Idk. It wasn't anything excited. It wasn't great but wasn't horrible. Not a place I'd try again but the staff was really kind. Maybe burgers just aren't their thing.

Its one of those places where the workers know all the regulars and talk about local gossip. A lot of people (on other reviews sites) make it sound like a go-to restaurant, and maybe it is. There's not a lot of tables there, but plenty of space to dance on - plus they have two pool tables. The steak, which is usually served on Friday nights, is supposed to be a big deal. Some reviewers are turned off that they let people smoke in there, despite of the Illinois law. When I was in there, nobody lit up nor did the place smell like cigs. So who knows - maybe they all thought I was an undercover cop! Lol. I had the shrimp po boy, a full order of cajun fries and soda - all for under $10. Not bad of a deal. They do have crinkle cut fries as well as loaded fries. Food was good, but small-town bars who pay more attention to their regulars just aren't my thing.
