Okay, this place could use a lesson in New York efficiency if its going to call itself New York style pizzeria. I waited in line for 20 minutes with just 5 people in front of me. Maybe its a Brazilian thing? Not sure, but there was no hustle in the staff.
Partly to blame is the layout of the joint and how you order. You pay first before ordering your slices which is a little atypical, but then the cashier is in the middle of the joint instead of being up front where the line is. After paying you go back to where the line is and point out your slices. Confusion and chaos. This place is in the middle of a hipster bar area, Im sure it gets slammed at closing time.
On to the pizza, Ill give props where they are due. The sause and toppings were okay- not bad.
The crust on the other hand needs some work.
It was soft and mushy instead of light and airy.
Maybe they should hire a New York pizza consultant to give them some tips on running the place? I guess maybe they don't need to with the lack of competition in the area? read more
