I've seen them treat their patients with compassion, care and genuine empathy. The loss of stars is for the actual surgeons and physicians. My grandmother had a cataract surgery and then 6 months later needed it to be undone. Another 2 weeks later she needed emergency surgery to remove a bubble and will be left with blurry vision in her right eye. The doctor is in his 70's, this experience has certainly not been easy on her and it has not been seamless. I think he may be too old to be practicing and I think she has had to have unnecessary surgeries to correct a potential misdiagnose or mistake. My other gripe is the inability to get them on the phone. If you do not have an extension number it is difficult to get a live person on the phone. After "waiting for a representative who is assisting other callers " for 3 minutes it hung up on me, several times. It's a poor service and a big inconvenience . I would NOT refer anyone here

He has a unique ability to communicate so that his explanations and instructions are comprehensive and easy to follow. He addressed all of my concerns with much-needed reassurance. And ... he literally restored my vision. I feel lucky indeed that Dr. Polla is my ophthalmologist, and I also want to give a huge shout-out to his staff: the assistants too are excellent and caring, as are the efficient and hardworking people at the front desk.
