My opthalmologist Dr. Elias Aliprandis was very professional, patient and extremely understanding concerning my anxiety for the cataract surgery. He spend time explaining the procedure for and answering all my questions. He was very supportive and reassuring. That evening Dr.Elias phoned to see how I was feeling and again answered more questions. My cataract surgery was very successful. I now have perfect 20/20 vision in my right eye. I'm excited to schedule cataract surgery for my left eye. Thank you very much Dr. Elias for your superb precision in my cataract surgery. I would highly recommend Dr. Aliprandis to all my family members and friends. Hands down a great, top-notch opthalmologist.

Called the NY Eye & Ear Infirmary for an appointment for my father and was able to schedule one for…read morethe following week. This was surprising considering that other places were fully booked and it would be a month wait for an appointment. My father was scheduled to see Dr Rachel Lee at the New York Eye & Ear Infirmary for a glaucoma evaluation. Mount Sinai app made it very convenient for doing the pre-check-in medical history and insurance by using their app. Appointment was on time and all tests were very professional and quick. Staff was very polite. Dr Lee was also quite pleasant; taking the time to explain things and treatment options. The visit was much better than you would find in a private practice.

They use a light system to signal the doctor as to who is next! The colors are like on a street light and can be set to blink! After waiting my life away, I asked what that was for! So if you were to rely on the staff, you could be sitting there for hours like me because numerous people can get to see the doctor because there is no list but employees who come to the room now and then to change the light code! They spend more time walking to change codes on lights than actually being honest with patients and seeing to their needs! One assistant told me I would be next and that was over1/2 hour ago. Then another assistant stops to change the code and told me that I was next after she turned a green light red! I asked her what she was doing and she had an attitude because I said staff told me I would be next but that was over 30 minutes ago! The nerve that I should question these shady codes and what they are for! This facility is zero stars! One is too high. I did not see the doctor until 1:30 hours later! On another occasion my address was changed and my bill sent out of state from the same doctor's office. I promptly called to make them change it back but to this day Mt Sinai cannot give me a straight answer as to who had access and changed it. A complete lack of security for patient's rights and records! Even the doctor tells me they know and can easily find out! No transparency at this location as to who is ahead of you, how many patients, etc! You are at the mercy of the evil schill staff who made sure I stayed for two hours! See my review for Quest! Dr. Arbisser was very professional and it is obvious very knowledgeable and very patient. I felt comfortable and I'm happy to have found a great eye doctor. Another great thing was no waiting... I loved it! The only downside was parking , it's a bit difficult but is not the doctor is Brooklyn, I found one near by but like everything else just come 5 minutes earlier. I did call and said I was 5 mins behind and not a problem.. what a great experience over all.

During the procedure, her assistant gave me stress balls to squeeze. Moreover, she rubbed my arm while the doctor operated. The next day, I received a call from the assistant asking if I am ok. Furthermore, she reminded me to take the medication the doctor prescribed. I am looking forward to seeing the doctor for a follow up.

Which require hard contacts called scleral lenses. My original contacts broke, so I needed new ones since I can't see without them. I contacted my insurance to see who was in network. They gave me a list and this place was on it. So I go and they seem very nice then they tell me the contacts will cost 2k and then every year I'll need a new pair at 1k for new ones. I was shocked and they said my insurance won't cover it. So it's either pay or be legally blind. So I pay them and I later contacted my insurance to see what they cover. Turns out they cover it all 100%. I contact them thinking it must have been an error and they can put the order in and also get my money back. The receptionist then tell me it's not covered. I tell her that she's mistaken that my insurance said it was then she says "well it's cosmetic" I tell her that's not true I had an operation for it and everything so it can't possibly be cosmetic. She got nervous because I called her bluff and tells me the office manger will call me in two days. Three days later I call back and the receptionist tells me that it's office policy to NOT charge insurance for those lenses. I was shocked. They are in network, they take my insurance l, and they will charge my insurance for standard contacts or glasses fine but for the expensive stuff they won't. So they get to pick and chose what to charge insurance. Which makes it seem like they will chose to charge insurance Baer on profit. I told her that is unacceptable and will file a complaint with my insurance (which I did) suddenly the office manager magically appears in the office. She tells me I have two options I can either cancel the order OR they can charge my insurance and if they cover 100% then I get my full 2k back and if it's 50% I get the difference you know like HOW INSURANCE WORKS. I tell her I want them to put in the order. She then says it could take up to 8 weeks for me to get reimbursed after the contacts. We then have the following conversation Me: so 8 weeks? Her: yes Me: okay put the order in, I'll mark in my calendar that in 8 weeks I should have the 2k back or else we'll have to have a conversation Her You dont have to threaten me Me: I'm sorry what did you say Her:you don't have to threaten me, I know what I'm doing Me: well you've lied to me twice so far so I don't trust you Her: I got this Me:okay put the order in Her:it could take 2 weeks for the contacts Me: ok 5 days later I get a call from my insurance asking me if I got back my 2k because they said that I cancelled my order and requested a refund. I never did that. I filed another complaint for insurance fraud. I call to speak to the office manager and she's not in and it's unknown when she will be in. Then i get a call from their Manhattan office who tell my insurance covers the contacts and asked me when I would like to come in. So even with that they still don't know what they are doing. So please PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE. They will lie and try to rip you off. Call your insurance and educate yourself. Spread the word because we need to stop this fraud

He considers all factors in his treatment - previous therapies, past medical history, and family history. I had all of my questions answered & never felt rushed. The office staff is wonderful & I was seen exactly at my appointment time.

Staff person who handles patient questions does everything on speaker phone next to reception area so you hear everyone else's personal medical business. The support staff do the actual eye tests and don't bother to listen to any responses during the vision tests. They seem to have minimal training. The doctor presents as caring, speaks very little, sends in the prescriptions and leaves the receptionist to tell you medication procedures and dosages. A mixed bag type of experience.
