Went on a Friday night. It had a nice sized crowd (not too busy or empty) and the place had a fantastic enviance. Additionaly, the two glasses of wine were great! We had the spaghetti with sausage and spaghetti with bacon (I think). The pasta tasted like it was boxed pasta and the sauce tasted like it was from a jar. Additionally the service while very pleasant was slow and non-attentive. The waiter wasn't at all flexible about orders. I asked if they could just make me some buckwheat pasta (a buckwheat dish is on their menu) with a tomato sauce (also on their menu). This was refused. Then it took three request to get salt and pepper, and two requests for more Parmesan cheese. I'd suggest you try other places on the canal for dinner and stick to wine and cheese here. Edit: Since our dinner last night my GF has been throwing up non stop. So the food was likely not only bad it made one of us sick!

This was a great place to stop for lunch. It is a small restaurant right along the canal in the Navigli district. The lunchtime portions were of a nice size and the price was good...there was a lunch special that was 8 Euros for a plate of pasta and a glass of wine or beer. We sat outside on a warm day but the shade and the fans kept us comfortable. The food was very good. The host/waiter was very nice too.

Best table snacks, the morsels of asiago cheese, ring-shaped crackers/ tarallini (a traditional…read moresnack in Puglia), and mortadella, served straight up in a cute mini chest. Lunch service began at 12pm, so our arrival at 11:30am turned into a short aperitivo hour where I ordered a [very] light Limoncello, poured pre-mixed from a bottle. Eventually, after viewing the menu through an app (which offered *some* translations), we ordered directly with a server. The Polpette di manzo/ beef meatballs in tomato sauce were actually quite delicious, the natural acidity from the fresh tomatoes lending much to the flavor. Unfortunately, while the half sleeve pasta shells on their own were quite bouncy and enjoyable, the carbonara ingredients for the Mezze maniche alla carbonara made the dish SO salty. Similarly, my friend's mezze maniche in a tomato sauce (al sugo di pomodoro) was just as salty. Maybe the sharp pecorino cheese is just too strong for us or there was a serious error in the amount added. We were let down a bit since our Airbnb host hyped up this place for pasta to a great extent! I'm just glad I at least was able to enjoy my meatballs and the table snacks which were of top quality!

There were actually only a couple of sofas at the entrance, so I'm not sure why it's called "sofa" cafe. The cafe itself is so cramped, it could be organized better in my opinion. As I was sitting at my table, pretty much every person who came into the shop seemed to want to use the toilet, so the line was very long and I kept bumping into each person. As for the coffee and pastry I ordered, it was just about ok, nothing special. The service was also very slow. I wouldn't recommend this place especially if you're going in alone and want to spend some time working or to read a book.

Not the best in the world but certainly better than the average. I would highly recommend the Moscow Donkey for a warm summers day as it was very refreshing! The only thing I would mention is the service was pretty poor. It took us about 10-15minutes to get our orders taken, and then we had to wait at least another 10 minutes for our drinks to arrive. If you're not in any rush (like us) then it's perfectly fine, but I would imagine it being quite annoying if you had somewhere to be afterwards. Overall it was above average drinks, below average service and a great relaxed ambience.
