A refund does not make this right, nor does it come close to rectifying the issue. At minimum, I think your business should pay for the services of a third party groomer of my choice, until such time as we agree the problem has been remedied. Nothing less than that is acceptable. Original Posting: I booked a 'wash/blow dry; tidy/trim feet, cut nails and remove matts behind both ears' appointment for my PUREBRED Japanese Spitz dog. This was based on advice from the breeder who shows dogs on a regular basis. Also, it was my dog's first 'professional groom' and I wanted to ease her into the process gradually. My instructions were clear and my expectations were that NO trimming or cutting beyond what I'd asked for would occur. I even provided a printed guide for grooming this relatively rare breed, when I brought the dog in. Instead: 1. Groomer 'M' blatantly ignored my directions, as well as the provided guide, arbitrarily deciding to do a full generic groom. 2. She blunt-cut my dog's ruff to a short and choppy length around her face, which is totally inappropriate for the breed. Fur on her haunches was blunt cut as well. As a result: 1. My dog's breed-specific appearance has been compromised until her fur grows back. 2. I am VERY UNHAPPY with how this was handled. Even more so, having shared the enclosed before/after pictures with my breeder and other groomers/owners familiar with this breed. Their feedback included: 'This is the perfect example of WHAT NOT TO DO!', 'Looks like the work of a child unsupervised with scissors.' 'What happened to common sense?' At minimum: 1. Your groomers should listen to your customers, and 2. Obtain advance approval if they recommend doing more than an Owner requested.

If I could I would give this a "Zero" rating. Recently had my 2 Grand Dogs spent 10 days at your…read morefacility...Went on a Family vacation to come home to 2 "Severely ILL" pups. Both had severe upper respiratory infection... they had been vaccinated prior to their admission...but...due to improper care they appeared to have Tracheal injury (diagnosed by a Veterinary Specialist) due to improper use of leashing technique...the little Frenchie has only ever used a harness so...probably resisted the use of a Noose around her neck when being Dragged outside to urinate (caregivers were aware of this) but their harnesses were not allowed in your facility. Injury to her trachea caused severe breathing problems and respiratory congestion. Both pups have been on antibiotics and the little Frenchie on steroids as well to help with her lung congestion..No previous history of medical problems. It has been 10 days since and will see what the final outcome is! I am truly disappointed...this facility requires caretakers that are properly trained and knowledgeable about the care they provide...our pets are a part of our Family...MY answer would be to provide individual camera footage of every animal in your care...of course I am not only concerned about my pets but others as well...Please...please do better!!!

When we dropped her off, she was so excited to greet the staff, with no hesitation at all. We take her own food and treats with us, as is recommended by the hosts, and they returned whatever she hadn't eaten. She was happy to see us of course, but went to her hosts to say goodbye! We live in Evansburg and are leaving on holiday for 2 weeks. We love Kozy Kennels so much that we are driving the 2 extra hours to take her there! We appreciated how accommodating they were when we had to extend her stay due to a medical emergency in our family. I really cannot say enough about them! Penny is a larger dog, so she requires lots of walks, she was happy and healthy there!

This is to ensure the company we are entrusting with our most vulnerable of family members provides quality service, shows respects to its patrons, and is accountable. If this is what's important to you as a customer, stay as far away as possible from this place... If saving a buck is what's important during a pandemic, trust us, employing this business will end up costing you more in vet and treatment bills. We remain baffled as to how this company has operated for profit for so long abusing furry family members. Most recently to highlight our experience; we dropped our animals off while on vacation, and upon our return our animals had been damaged, malnourished, and dehydrated. Upon picking up our dogs, on the drive home our puppy laid across our lap almost lifeless, he was limp, and we could visibly see every rib and defined vertebrae. His face was drained of life and he had this dull sad look to him. His norm was a healthy, vibrant, active and healthy weighed animal... Upon bringing our concerns to the attention of the owners (pictures of before and after we dropped them off and a vet assessment report) both in person and over the phone we were met with a lack of customer service, lack of accountability, and lack of overall professionalism one gets from a reputable business. So if you and your family want to stress over the condition of your furry loved one. If you enjoy being ostracized and cursed at by the owners, and over blamed for the condition of your animals in your absence while paying someone to do it.... Koncentration Kamp Kennels is the place for you....

I contacted Veronica's in advance, letting them know my 10 year-old dog can be leash aggressive and doesn't like super high energy dogs. They responded in a timely fashion and explained they had different rooms for different energy level dogs. They were extremely friendly, sent photos of my dog, and made me feel extremely comfortable knowing my dog was in good hands! I cannot say enough good things about this place and I would bring my dog here in a heartbeat if needed in the future

Jean-Francois and I had several conversations in the month before my trip; he assured me that they could take care of my dog no matter what, and he went so far as to offer to bring her to my hotel so that I could walk her every day of her stay. A last-minute reprieve from the work hotel meant I was able to spend my entire trip with my dog. When I picked up my girl a couple hours after dropping her off, the staff member at the desk described her interactions with other dogs in detail, and they were quick to mention that, as expected, she had shown signs of stress and separation anxiety. The kennel space itself is clean and carefully managed. Kennel spaces and the outdoor yard are floored in concrete, but the dogs don't seem to mind. There is also a wide selection of treats, baked bones, bully sticks, and dog gear in the lobby. JF and his team truly care about dogs. If you need to board while in Banff, look no further than Veronica's.
