After the fact it was great to have St.E's work with us to make sure we had everything we needed to remember our special day. If a hospital was any other way, I would be concerned! My boyfriend came to the ER once after getting hit by a truck, and his experience here was good. There was not very much waiting in the ER. I'd never been in an ER before, but no one was too serious, so I wasn't freaked out. I heard singing while sitting in the ER and saw that my fellow college students were volunteering at that moment. It really warmed my heart! I love that AMC has the volunteer partnership. The music really makes the place feel like home. I have never been a patient here, so I don't feel qualified to rate the patient experience here at all.

My daughter was given the same exact nebulizer treatment in triage, it didn't help, and we were sent to the waiting room for 2 hours. I spoke to the triage nurse, she gave my daughter another nebulizer treatment, it didn't work, sent us back to waiting room for another 3 hours. We had already tried allof this for six hours before coming in. What is the point of having an ER if you are not going to treat patients? 5+ hours in the waiting room, administering the same medications we have at home? I have never been so disappointed in AMC in my life. I suppose its to be expected. I was here 2 weeks ago for a broken elbow and a PT set it in the waiting room where they tell you the bad news in the back. Really classy. That was after 5 hours of waiting too. The two nurses that did the pre-op it seemed like, well the one that tried to do the IV on my left arm blew it.....twice. The other one that was doing the stuff on the computer (Teri), well, it sounded like she said the one that blew my veins that she knew there was going to be a problem when she saw me. So, I don't know if she was talking about me (didn't she figure that I'd hear her?) and how can she just tell by looking at me, without looking at my arms. I don't know why there would have been a problem either because I had at least 64 oz of water the day before, in addition to my tea and three servings of chicken broth and 1 1/2 servings of Gatorade. I have never had an IV on the back of my arm. It's always been on the inside of my arm or on the back of my hands. So, I'm not sure why they said 'there's better veins there'. Well, obviously not if the one nurse blue both veins and the other one complained about how I looked. The 1st nurse slapped me very hard on the arm, too. I will say, however, that the postop nurse, Ella, that was my discharge nurse.....she was great. She was very helpful, So maybe she needs to teach the preop nurses. Also, it seemed like the Teri wasn't quite sure what she was doing because she said something about not being sure what they needed for what she needed to do. It seemed like she didn't quite know what they needed for the type of surgery I was having? Not very happy with how pre-op went. My arm as looked horrible for the past week too. Here a few progression pics of it. Also, I tried contacting patient relations, but have heard nothing back, so I guess they don't care.

If you see one person doing all the running and caring to take care of everyone and you don't help them and acknowledge their efforts you are a part of the problem.... I was in Appleton Wisconsin (I live in Chicago and also Florida), and was in town to see my in-laws and grandson. I was referred to urgent care physicians by my sister-in-law, and was seen there at about 1 o'clock. I was up by 2 o'clock. I can only describe the care as caring, efficient, and professional. It is 9 o'clock at night, and I am already improving. I would recommend this clinic to anybody with an ambulatory illness. Frankly, I was very impressed!

Now that I've worked for four hospital systems in Wisconsin, I can tell you with great certainty that although they think they're top notch, they don't make and haven't made the top 10 best hospitals for years. All of their services rank as "average" according to U.S. News and World Report, which ranks top hospitals. If you can, make the drive north to Bellin, which ranks #5 for 2018.

Every time I go there, I regret it. They act like every patient is the BIGGEST INCONVENIENCE! I've even been told "we are just too busy for this right now", this was when I went in covered in hives due to an allergic reaction from a medication that I shouldn't have been prescribed (I was misdiagnosed by another Theda doctor). The doctor at the ER didn't look at my hives once, but decided I must have Lymes disease so he ordered blood work and told me to take Zantac while pushing me out the door. Zantac. Another time, I went to this ER with excruciating abdominal pain. I didn't know it at the time, but I was bleeding internally due to endometriosis. The ER doctor told me I just needed to poop and sent me home. Last night, my (toddler) son fell and bit through his bottom lip. He also hit hard enough to loosen his top teeth. We sat in the ER waiting room for WELL OVER AN HOUR while my son screamed and spit blood. We watched people that came in after us being led back, treated, and discharged before we could even get a bed. When we finally got a room, the doctor told us that he's not a dentist, then gave my son Tylenol and a popsicle before sending us out. If I could give Theda Clark less than one star, I would. They are negligent and they couldn't care less. Please use a different hospital if possible!

They insulted me and spoke to me in a condescending manner. Also went in for a follow up appointment. Waited for an hour after my appointment was scheduled. When I finnaly did get in the doctor didn't examine me at all, just said I was fine and sent me on my way. Still got charged over $1,000. Do not go here if you can avoid it. This is just in reference to Surgical Assosiates, and not the hospital it's inside of. The rest of the hospital is just wonderful.
