I love this place and its staff. They treat you just the same as you were their own family member. I believe whole heartedly they saved my leg from the knee down. I was convinced before arriving here that losing it was a real threat, but their compassion and intelligence really saved my life because without my leg I don't know how I could have went on.

I received a bill for thousands of dollars after it was run thru my insurance. Their billing is done via a 3rd party. When I called to pay my bill, I specifically asked the lady if this was for both visits since the bill was so high and the paper I received was not itemized. She assured me this was the only bill I had. I paid it in full. Imagine my surprise today when I received 2 bills for apprx 700.00 more dollars for the doctors themselves. I was seen in January, and it is now July. So now I get 2 more random bills 5 months later? So I call and pay them today, and the lady at the billing center informs me I owe another 1000.00 bill for my second er visit. Ummm what? I have the receipt from the bill I paid that was nearly 3 grand. She tells me that's for one visit. And I'm unsure why the doctor bills I got today were 2 different amounts. Shouldn't it be the same to see the doctor? And why wasn't this included in first bill I got? My son also had a visit here a few months ago and I'm waiting on that bill too. When I asked the billing department what they are showing I will own on that bill, they couldn't tell me. Had I known how financially devastating even one visit would be, I would have never come a second time, nor would I have brought my son here. They have "no surprise billing", but when I add up my visits they don't even come close to what I was billed. You can get the price list on their website- FYI. As much as I appreciated the care I got here, I will stick with a traditional hospital if I ever need to be seen on an emergency basis. It's a lot less expensive, and I'm not sitting in billing limbo wondering what bills I'm going to get next from a visit months ago. I would think the 16 grand they billed my insurance would have covered both visits considering I didn't have anything crazy done. No stitches, no surgery, no open wounds. It just seems like an outrageous price to me. The lady in the billing department said she would email me a detailed document of my entire billing account. When she sent it to me, it was password protected so I couldn't view it. Something just seems really off with the billing amounts, so I definitely won't visit here again.

Over the last six years I have been increasingly happy and impressed with my primary care physician but also with every other person from the person who draws blood to the nurses, the billing department, and specialists. My husband also has the same doctor and, sadly, he has had skin cancer, prostate cancer and full removal, a hip replacement, two knee replacements, lots of physical therapy, and some other issues. I had to remind him at two separate visits I was not here for my back, but I have severe disk disease in my neck. He performed an acupuncture treatment the week before for what he thought was back pain. When I came in for my next visit he asked if my back pain improved. I was confused and said " my back", he replied " I thought you were he for back pain". He also was very offended when I told him the acupuncture treatment he did caused increasing pain and flu like symptoms for 3 days. He told me that was not possible, implying I was lying. After establishing care with another Dr. that performed acupuncture (specifically targeting my NECK) that Dr. said it is known that acupuncture can put your body into a healing crisis as your body releases toxins. I have no idea why Dr. Joseph got so defensive. I was respectful and pleasant, the exact opposite of him.

When we moved back to Green Bay four years ago I tried to find a pain doctor that would continue my treatment. I had no success. I tried Bellin, Aurora and Prevea. All they wanted to do is take me off the meds that had been working for me for years. They made remarks to me that were very hurtful. Finally someone recommended a doctor that was independent from the big corporations, Dr. John Joseph. When I went for my first appointment I found him to be very kind and sympathetic. He listened carefully to what I said and after getting the records from my Florida doctor, he agreed to continue my medication that had worked so well. I can't describe the relief that I felt when he said this. He has managed my back pain for over a year now and I can live a normal life. Everyone in the office is friendly and kind, always. I recommend this pain management clinic to anyone who suffers from pain and cannot find relief.

Referrals were prompt to specialists and necessary. There weren't any unnecessary tests or appointments. I am and advocate for my health care and that is respected.
