The two nurses that did the pre-op it seemed like, well the one that tried to do the IV on my left arm blew it.....twice. The other one that was doing the stuff on the computer (Teri), well, it sounded like she said the one that blew my veins that she knew there was going to be a problem when she saw me. So, I don't know if she was talking about me (didn't she figure that I'd hear her?) and how can she just tell by looking at me, without looking at my arms. I don't know why there would have been a problem either because I had at least 64 oz of water the day before, in addition to my tea and three servings of chicken broth and 1 1/2 servings of Gatorade. I have never had an IV on the back of my arm. It's always been on the inside of my arm or on the back of my hands. So, I'm not sure why they said 'there's better veins there'. Well, obviously not if the one nurse blue both veins and the other one complained about how I looked. The 1st nurse slapped me very hard on the arm, too. I will say, however, that the postop nurse, Ella, that was my discharge nurse.....she was great. She was very helpful, So maybe she needs to teach the preop nurses. Also, it seemed like the Teri wasn't quite sure what she was doing because she said something about not being sure what they needed for what she needed to do. It seemed like she didn't quite know what they needed for the type of surgery I was having? Not very happy with how pre-op went. My arm as looked horrible for the past week too. Here a few progression pics of it. Also, I tried contacting patient relations, but have heard nothing back, so I guess they don't care.

To be the absolute worst??? You have a few good employees that really care and you are allowing lazy incompetent uncaring morons to run the show... This isn't a burger joint it's a hospital for human beings!!! If you see a group of nurses standing around talking gossip instead of being busy doing everything possible to give quality care to the patients and families you will find the problem... If you see one person doing all the running and caring to take care of everyone and you don't help them and acknowledge their efforts you are a part of the problem.... I will check back in a week to find out if you are cleaning this up or just carrying on the horrible behavior... I will be taking this up the chain of command....

We love our Doctors but the Billing Dept is terrible!!! We have been working with our Health…read moreInsurance and Prevea Billing to determine numerous discrepancies with our Bills. Many of the items being charged to us are discounted rates that our insurance company negotiated with Prevea that they did not apply to our invoices. Sometimes they do, but mostly they do not. We were sent to collections and forced into a payment plan, even though our insurance was paying towards these invoices while we tried to work out these issues. To top it off, one item we were sent to collections on was a check that they mis-applied and showed a non-payment. Before they even review your issues, they start making excuses on why the charges are there and blame the insurance. We talk to billing numerous times every week and they send us to the manager's voicemail that is supposed to respond within 24 hours as promised. We do not get call backs. They will not give managers numbers, emails, or any other information to help this process through. I have all of my documentation organized and labeled for review but they will not let us get that information to them. They also will not meet in person to resolve this issue. It is very disappointing and if this is not solved immediately we will be forced to seek other Healthcare Providers. We loved our care and doctors, but can't endure this process any longer. It is too stressful trying to deal with these issues. 5 stars for our doctors and 0 stars for this billing nightmare.
