I contacted Veteran's Title as I was considering hiring them as my settlement agent ahead of a contract to sell my condo. The email response I get at 11:13 am (below) is literally the first message Mr. Johnson sent me in response to my inquiry. I think the exchange that follows should tell potential customers everything they need to know...

Good morning Mr. Johnson:
I apologize but can you tell me who you are and what this form is?
I gather from your signature block that you got my email address as it relates to the pending sale of my condo in Springfield. However I've been calling/emailing a lot of people this week so if you can give me some context, it'd be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Mr. Clerk:
I am a retired Army officer, an attorney, and the owner of Veterans Title. The form I provided you makes reference to Veterans Title within it.

Mr. Johnson:
You can't honestly deal with prospective clients like this, right? Seems really unprofessional.
I sent you an email from your webpage asking for information about your process and fees and you send me a 7 page document to complete without any explanation as to what it is, what it's for, how much you charge etc.
If you're not interested/too busy to deal with serving as our settlement agent, just say so. I'm not interested in paying someone hundreds of dollars who can't seem to muster simple email etiquette for a potential client. You didn't even bother spelling my name correctly.
Do you want to try again with a clean slate or are we done here?
