Thanks for killing my father. You never put anyone on a waiting list for a stent or a heart surgery. Never will come to you guys again.

They took great care of my father in law. My only complaint is that the canteen and Starbucks are closed on weekends.

I can't say nothing but great things about U of U Health. I came here October 13th to receive my…read morenew kidney. From the moment I stepped foot into the hospital, I was taken care of. Every doctor, every nurse to every one else in between that helped me recover did a fabulous job. The ICU nurses were attentive and caring. My nurses on the regular floor gave me a little more independence and freedom. My transplant doctor, Dr. Bluff has set the bar high for any other specialty doctor that helps me in the future. She was fantastic! My nephrologist, Dr. Jweehan was amazing! When you're going through your healing process, you deal with multiple nephrologists. Dr. Jweehan was my only nephrologist from the beginning til the end. She was the kindest, most passionate, most caring doctor. I'm happy that she was with me through the whole process. The facility is beautiful. It's a very big and stunning hospital. I appreciate that there's someone playing the piano in the lobby. It eases some of the stress I went through having to do labs multiple times a week. It was nice hearing such nice music while waiting for my name to be called. I stayed in Utah for 5 weeks. And every visit I had at this hospital was great. All the staff here is just nice. I think the only negative incidents that I had was a CNA kicking my husband and daughter out of my original recovery room and a gentleman who was dropping off my food. Other than that, my interactions with this hospital was fabulous. I couldn't recommend a better hospital to be taken care at. I have my 6 month check up on April. I look forward to coming back and seeing my doctors who took such great care of me.

I came here for work so I cant speak to the medical care here…read more The campus was well labeled and I was able to find my meeting place very easily. Parking was easy, no complaints. And surprisingly, the hospital cafeteria was very good. I have quite a bit of trauma over the years eating in hospital cafeterias and this place was a pleasant surprise and my colleague suggested we check it out. I had a tofu bowl and it was delicious! I also had some fresh pineapple and a diet soda. Prices were reasonable and Id definitely return. The place was swarming with hospital staff and was hard to find a place to sit, so snag your seat quickly. The views are so sick of the mountains, Id never get tired of looking at the mountains here in Utah. Id definitely return and normally I avoid hospital cafeterias like the plague.

All understandable. Our experience here was extremely positive. The experience started with the whole network from their Urgent Care, which was wonderful, to the CT scans, to the physician to this hospital. All in the Intermountain system. The doctor was down to earth, explained everything, entertained and answered questions, friendly, assuring, positive. From checking in at the front desk to post-op care, all the staff, the nurses and attendants were very helpful and friendly and supportive. This goes for their urgent care services as well. Gotta put in a plug for their cafeteria, which isn't a cafeteria, it's a food mall! So many choices: pizza, make your own salad, make your own sandwich, soup, grilled items, deserts, coffee/hot chocolate/steamed milk/smoothie station, etc. Tons of grab and go options. Even can get grilled salmon. I had a sandwich toasted and it was great along with a small bowl of vegetable beef soup. Very reasonable prices. If you don't want to eat here, there are enough good options nearby. It is a comfortable hospital, the waiting rooms were spacious with "comfortable" chairs. I put that in quotes because the chairs really gave me a sore bottom. Plenty of electric outlets and free WiFi. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

I found myself needing wound care after breast implant surgery…read more I had a giant hole on my left side. I have been working with them since July and they have every available resource to make you heal. I did Barometric Pressure Chambers daily for two months, two hours a day. I received Placenta and Cord Blood which ultimately healed me the fastest. The team is amazing. I'm going to miss all of them. After spending that much time there they became friends. I hope you never need them but if you find you do don't waste your time with home care and just go straight to them.

It could have been a good experience if the nurses were professional. As soon as we got to the pre-op room, the nurse was all over my husband. The nurse turned my pre-surgery experience (while I was so anxious and unhappy I had to have this surgery that I could have cried endlessly) into a silent exercise is self denial. I could not talk because the nurse would not stop telling my husband her whole life story. The nurse had to be within two feet of my husband almost the entire time she was inside the surgery prep room. The nurse talked about her whole life history for two hours and ignored me. The little attention I got was horrible. The elfish nurse tried to put socks on my feet and because I'm tall with larger feet, spent five minutes profusely exaggerating how there are no more socks any larger to use in the whole hospital. Well, I'm six feet tall and my foot is equivalent to a man's size 10. I'm sure no men with feet larger than size 10 get socks at St. Mark's hospital. This tiny little elf of a woman made sure that she was the center of attention and her virtue of work was amazing and she really went out of her way to impress my husband with her life achievement. She also went out of her way to make sure I feel really bad about the size of my feet. None of this was necessary. Then, the recovery was worse. I was chastised by everyone for not waking up fast enough and shoved out the door while violently vomiting because "I took too long." I was even asked if I slept the night before the surgery because it was so outrageous how long it took me to wake up. Every aspect of my humanity was commented on and I was made to feel bad for things I could not control. I guess I'm glad I survived the parts removal factor but I'm emotionally damaged, as a result of the experience. I feel like a dog in a dysfunctional family who got my nose rubbed in shit for crapping on the carpet and all I did was show up for surgery.

I'm still alive and so I'm thankful for the very difficult job that these people perform. It is inevitable that at some point if you spend enough time in this kind of system, you're going to start feeling like a piece of meat on a conveyor belt. They are very good about most things. However, there is some dehumanization that can occur, so make sure to ask a lot of questions and seek out alternative answers if something feels like it might be off. Because sometimes it actually is. There were some miraculous examples of people really extending themselves on my behalf. I'll be forever grateful for those individuals . For those who really in the way, I am equally less grateful.

I usually get it done in an operating room setting so today's visit is very different from what I'm used to. This medical facility is stunning! My office was on the second floor. Coming out of the elevator, you are pleasantly surprised by the beautiful view of SLC. It's hard not to be in awww with such a breathtaking view of the city. I checked in, and was shortly escorted to my room. Vitals were taken and I was asked to change. I was surprised that I was able to get comfortable in my medical chair with a pillow and warm blanket. The fact that I was able to get comfortable allowed me to relax and not over stress over my procedure. Rebecca Cuniberti took care of me today. She was so kind! She explained everything to me. Everything she did was to make sure I was comfortable and at ease. From start to finish, Rebecca did an amazing job. I couldn't have asked for a better catheter removal. I'm happy that I got to experience such great care. I hope everyone can experience what I got to experience even though we aren't here for a fun time. It's amazing how someone's bedside manner can turn a scary and stressful situation into an easy appointment. Thank you for your care Rebecca Cuniberti, I appreciate you.
