So you can pick up all kinds of crazy things that you wouldn't find at a regular Yard Sale elsewhere in the country. Here in Buffalo, though, we have a beautiful waterfront park along the Niagara River, with grilling and soccer and a dog park and lots of gorgeous views and sunsets. If you squint, you can see the Maple Syrup across the water glinting in the Canadian sunlight. I play soccer here... but not too often because it is the worst field I've ever played on. However other than soccer, I come here because it's one of my fave spots anywhere in the city. You can see the towering shapes of Statler and City Hall across the thundering 190 highway and train track at one end of the park. You have the Barkyard and all kinds of interesting buildings at the other end. And then you have the beautiful waterfront and the pathway along it. Not always the cleanest, not always the safest area at night, but during the day, in the summer, it's stunning. I was here just 3 weeks ago for a soccer game actually. I'm not supposed to be playing, but my goodness, what fantastic views from here on a blue sky day. It's one of the best natural settings for a park in Buffalo. The park isn't always the cleanest, the soccer field is the worst in the region (possibly the country), and the driveways are full of enormous treacherous potholes, but just because of the location and the beautiful views, I have to give it a 5.

They have a paved parking lot and restrooms with flush toilets. Unfortunately the restrooms are nowhere near the parking lot so if you have an urgent need, be prepared for a hike. Ok so I can't write this review without mentioning the white elephant (actually a blue elephant) structure way out in the middle of the field. It's a big blue thing made of crisscrossing wood that some artist was allowed to put up. I just hope that none of my tax money was used to build it or used to maintain it. From the two roads that are adjacent to the park, I personally think it looks like a big blue port-a-potty so if you have to go, don't rush to get out to it. You will have to see it for your self to decided.

Small park with a couple of ponds, large grassy area, few paved walking trails, bathroom facilities. Bandstand / amphitheater - waiting for summer concert series to make it come alive! New parking lot - glad they finally paved a black top one. A muddy mess on a rainy day when you had to park your car on the grass - no more! A few benches to sit and enjoy the evening breeze and catch up with a dear, long time, friend tonight. We walked our dogs along the paved pathways. Several folks enjoying the warm evening outdoors sitting on folding chairs or blankets. Kids playing catch. Playground area on one side. A decent, clean, neighborhood park.

There is a large parking lot in the middle of the park. That surprises me, because it does not makes sense to have that big slab of asphalt in the center of the park. Besides that, it is way oversized. The park is situated almost next to the 190 highway. The, many times very loud, noises coming from the 190 really negatively impact on the park experience. We visited when the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra was visiting as part of their "6 parks, 6 concerts" summer tour. The podium was set up near the kids play ground, resulting in kids screams accompanying the great music program. The concert was great, a nice mix of swing music. Too bad about the traffic noises in the background.

Part of the Delaware Park system, and the greater Olmsted Park system, Front Park is famous for being small, and being on top of a little hill/ridge/bluff, and best of all it's famous for its spectacular views of the Peace Bridge and the Niagara River. I play soccer there sometimes in summer, and it's wonderful to feel like you're playing right under the shadow of the Peace Bridge. Awesome sauce. The fields however, are very poor quality for soccer games. And the wind is howling and crazy. However the fact that lots of ducks show up whenever it rains, totally makes up for that.

In recent years this park has become a beautiful place to bike, hike or just hang out. It has a…read moretrail circling the outside of the park with wildflowers, local plants, butterfly attracting plants, environmentally friendly plants all around. Along side the path there are workout/exercise areas. There's even an area dedicated to exercise like an outdoor gym with an exercise bike and other gym machines. There are a few playgrounds for the kids, picnic tables, baseball diamonds and shelters. People fly model airplanes which are so fun to watch and groups play crickets sometimes in the large open areas. There are tennis/pickleball courts and basketball nets too. Plenty of easy parking. Easy access off the 190 thruway. If you follow the trail northwest out of the park it continues through Niagara University...from there you can access the Shoreline trail to Niagara Falls (South) or Lewiston (North). Across the road from the park is the actual reservoir. In winter there's a sledding hill, ice skating and warming house to use. There's also access to the rim around the top of the reservoir with great views. The path up there is gravel but tightly packed and wide (a roadway for the Power Authority) so easy to bike. Located at the corner of Military Road and Route 31 (Saunders Settlement Road) in the Town of Niagara it is close to shopping areas on Military Rd. as well. The sidewalks have been redone and are smooth enough to ride easily to your shopping destination. For me this is a convenient park to ride through on my way to the stores or just to ride around for fun.

I live right next to this park, relatively speaking. I just drive straight down Ransom from near my house, and I'm there. It's a wonderfully convenient thing for me because the park is really great. It's pretty bleak in the winter, but in the summer it's wonderful. It's also massive... much bigger than people realize. The convenience makes me want to give it a 5, and I love coming here, but compared to my fave spots in WNY, this is more like a 4 star park. It's secluded with winding trails and wildlife and lots of people walking dogs and such. I may bring Starlight and My Son here one of these days, I need to buy some kitten harnesses first. How adorable will that be. Very solid 4 stars for a lovely place to go.

There looks like a small wading pool open in the summertime, and also love that this is right in a cute little neighborhood. No parking but folks didn't seem to mind/have trouble parking. Being of polish heritage; curiosity had brought me to see changes; since covid; first hit. I loved the archway when you walked in; and was pleasantly surprised to see new food vendors. Great addictions were Mazureks Bakery, Bacik vendor, who has her own cooking show on Sundays in the evening , and Polish Cadets. Learned in addition, how the polish decorative eggs are made and the work and skill that goes into it. The rest of the festival was the same status quo. Liked how one didn't feel crowded in the food tent. Great job organizers.

There is a tennis net, volleyball net and basketball court. There's also a playground and plenty of shelters. Usually there are soccer or baseball games going at the entrance of the park, but it never seems to get overcrowded. If you're looking for a green area, here you have it!
