As bad as it could be. Wanted to give it a try despite the reputation but sadly it was true. bad and rude service. Don't waste your time here. read more

I have never even set foot in this place but it gets 5 stars from me because of their Concord cake. This kind of cake is a favorite in our family for special occasions and at our recent gathering it was particularly divine! I learned that the family member who brought it got it at Vesta rather than our usual place which has been pretty iffy the last few times. Oh Vesta, you have won my business and my heart! I live in Connecticut but you can bet that every time I cross the border to RI I will be making a stop at Vesta. read more

I brought cupcakes for the end of class potluck at my school. They were just okay and a bit on the expensive side. HOWEVER!!! When I did actually graduate we got the cake here and it was not only unique but FANTASTIC!!!! I wish I had a photo!! It was a lemon cake with raspberry mouse and buttercream icing and not only was it refreshing and delicious but the cake was perfect! Pink with a cherry tree/cherry blossoms! LOVE LOVE LOVE the cake! read more

Got a mini strawberry rhubarb pie from the Westerly farmers market today. really good. A little pricey for a small pie though

Terrible, terrible, no service at all, waited for over ten minutes with help in back seeing us, no one told us they would be out to help, nothing!!!!! No bakery is that good to wait that long. Get it together!!!!! Went in a week ago also, first thing in the AM to find they baked nothing for the public!! Too busy baking Christmas orders!! Two trips walked out with nothing! What kind of business is that? read more

Had my mom's 70th birthday cake made here and they did an absolutely fabulous job!. It was beautiful and delicious, everyone raved about it. Thanks again. read more

I walked in off the street and ordered a large pastry assortment (3 dozen) for a family get together the following week. Everyone present raved about them. The variety was perfect, and the quality top shelf. Everything was ready and boxed up at the morning pickup time, with the pastries still warm and fresh. The chocolate croissants were excellent and the favorite! read more

I ordered a small gluten free cake with chocolate mousse!!! Let me tell you.... it was AMAZING!!! You would never have known it was GF!! Thanks for making my friends B Day special!! Highly recommend this bakery!! read more

Let's start with the good points. The cake that Vesta made was absolutely delicious, everyone said so. I wanted a beautiful cake for my daughter's shower and they made a two-tiered cake with pink roses and it was artfully decorated. So 5 stars for taste and appearance. Here's the part that is a problem. My husband showed up in the morning to pick up the cake as promised. The front room was chaotic, according to him. It seemed that there were problems in abundance. They asked my husband what he wanted, even though we'd made that clear and he waited long enough to make it seem they made it on the spot. Another customer was also complaining about a missing cake. My husband didn't know why the other customers were grumbling. To run a successful business, you have to not only make a quality product, but deliver it as promised. I hope they get their act together because I intend to return for more beautiful and tasty treats! read more

I bake a great cake ! In fact, I am the designated baker for all family gatherings. For my daughter's graduation, I didn't have time to bake, so I ordered the Chocolate Mousse Cake. It was hand's down the best cake I've ever had . Everyone loved it ! I suspect my day's of baking may be coming to an end. read more

The bread here is the stuff of dreams. Everything I have tried has been delicious. I only gave it four stars because the price can be a bit high and the parking situation there is pretty crappy. I wish the had a better location but it's well worth the hassle. read more

I have to admit this place is a guilty pleasure! I love the selection and the quality of pastries and desserts and bread! Why travel when I have a world class bakery right down the street? :) PS- this place is cutting into the progress I've been making at the gym but I really don't mind. read more

They've got the best zeppole around (that ProJo article was spot on) filled with real pastry cream and topped with real whipped cream. Plus, if you like blueberries try their blueberry pie. It's loaded with berries and has the perfect level of sweetness. read more

Avoid this bakery if you're looking for breakfast pastries and muffins before 10 am, all they have to offer is a few day old items. Their MO is to push out special orders first and breakfast items after 10 AM. If you're a late breakfast eater, you'll get something fresh, otherwise you're out of luck. Unless you've placed an order in advance the pastry items are very limited too. This not a traditional bakery where you can stop in and choose from an assortment to take away. Stock is limited and the cases are 3/4 empty. This was my third attempt to give them a try, twice before Covid in 2019, and recently. Skip it! read more

Ummmmm I really dont know what tosay about this place besides that the location is average, the AC works, there are minimal insects present as I write this, and the golf will come later if my wife will keep it up. Another profession perfected. The cupcakes are gr8 read more

My fiance got my 30th birthday cake here. It was wonderful light but moist and tasty! My fiance knows that I love gnomes. They put an adorable fondant gnome and mushroom macaroons (yummy too) so cute. I decided to go back to order some rolls and pastries for Christmas which were very reasonably priced. Also it was the best smelling Bakery I've ever walked into highly recommend this place. read more

Vesta make the wedding cake and the groom's cake for my wedding this past June. Overall, I was VERY impressed by their service and the quality of their work. My cake turned out gorgeously and very delicious; my husband loved his Red Sox groom's cake. They were very easy to work with and even let me come in for a tasting on a day they don't normally do them as I was an out-of-town bride and only in town for a weekend of wedding planning. I was also impressed with their prices- my order came in far under what I had budgeted and I didn't have to sacrifice any quality of design or taste. read more

This bakery has the best breads and pastries I've ever tasted. I've tried the cinnaman raisin bread, French bread, and the croissants. They taste homemade, if the people you lived with were highly trained chefs. Vesta has great cakes and pastries too. I love the sugar cookies too. It's a great place to go to bring a truly amazing dessert to a dinner party, or to sit around the house and eat an entire loaf of cinnamon raisin bread. read more

I'm from the Hill in Providence, so bakeries of top notch criteria is a familiar area for me. While Pastiche is an absolute favourite, NO ONE and I mean no one touches the baked goods that Vesta produces. Hands down, best cakes in the 401, and to date, my favourite cake I've ever eaten. Highly, highly, highly, recommend!!! read more

I've been here only once sadly but was VERY impressed by the service and selection of bakery items. Having been in a Lemon kick i found just what I was looking for buying one for NOW and one for Later.. lol.. Parking is on the street and this place is kind of hard to find since it's w/in the first floor of a house. If you know where Willis Bikes are you can find it next door. And i highly recommend you do stop in and sample one of their MANY different items. read more

A quick update to my review. I added another cookie to be delivered to the same school, different niece. Both cookies were delivered on Monday. My nieces called to say their classes LOVED them!! Not only was it a great surprise, the cookies tasted good, and everyone was happy. So a GREAT BIG Thank You to Vesta!!! read more

Cannolis! I've been searching for a place that made cannolis. Fresh, crunchy pastry shells. I would suggest not using chocolate chips in the filling. They are good though. read more

Finally found a great bakery in Westerly, since I moved here from the Providence area, where great bakeries are on every corner. I think Vesta makes the best pastries and fresh bread around. Love the oatmeal pecan chocolate chip cookies & the fresh whole grain walnut and cranberry bread! read more

Vesta Bakery is a new small bakery in our town of Westerly. A sorely needed addition and it's one of the best. Everything is baked fresh with excellect ingredients. The chef/baker is willing to assist with whatever you would like her to do for your special cake etc... The CARROT cake has to be the BEST ever!! I've had 3 now and they are consistently great; guests absolutely love this cake. Their home made cupcake, Italian pastries and bread are excellent. A little JEWEL in a little town called Westerly. STOP there, you won't be disappointed. LB read more

Great bakery! I visited on a weekend recently and while there wasn't a huge variety of pastries to choose from what I ordered was fantastic. I recommend the croissants in particular. Definitely worth the price! read more

Beautiful job on a delicious and gorgeous wedding cake. It was difficult to pick at the tasting because of the delicious options, but our guests were delighted with the lemon/raspberry and chocolate/hazelnut layers. read more

I've raved about Vesta from its start in town ..through a location change and still today.. Allison makes a dense moist cake with the absolute BEST FROSTING EVER! European pastry training separates Vesta from all of the rest. None of that generic sickening sweet processed grocery store bakery fare here..now if I could only get them to keep more decorated cookies in house...they're the best!! read more

This is by far the best bakery I have ever eaten in, and I've worked in several venues myself. It really does not get any better than this. I highly recommend the chocolate filled croissant but then again, literally anything you eat in here will be out of this world. read more

I went to Vesta today to order a cake and assorted pastries for a birthday party. I ordered the cake then asked about ordering the pastries. The girl gave me the menu and I started writing down what I wanted. Each item had a price next to it. I put down 14 items. A woman came out from the back and said that ordering individual items was "against the rules" and seemed incredibly put out that I wanted to pick out my own assortment. She was very snippy. I said that the first girl told me I could pick out any but she said she could not be bothered to stop and read a sheet of paper and I could only order by the dozen and she would choose. Then she said that I could not order 14. I had to order a dozen. I will never come here again. There are much better and friendlier bakerys (Lis or Loveridge). They are very rude. And the loaf of bread I bought was stale. read more

My first introduction to Vesta was a few years ago when I saw one of their desserts featured in SO RI Magazine - a pear tarte they featured around Thanksgiving - we ordered one for the holiday and have been hooked ever since! We have ordered countless birthday cakes, breads, rolls, pastries and muffins over the past few years and have always been extremely happy with their products- definitely the best bakery in the area! read more

We were planning a 100 years family reunion celebration and had an unusual request for a cake. I wanted a cake that covered 100 years of holidays and special occasions that you would celebrate. I only spoke on the phone and never really saw pictures of what I was going to be getting .. The cake was AMAZING.. Allison had captured everything you could possibly think of. She started with Ellis Island to births, marriage, every holiday to present day . Besides looking fantastic, the cake was a super hit.. We are still getting feed back on the occasion and everyone mentioned the cake. She suggested two different flavors to do to satisfy everyone. Her carrot cake was amazing, so moist and light the frosting perfect. read more

I give the baked goods 5 stars...they truly are delicious. That being said, the ladies that have been behind the counter on both occasions (yesterday being the most recent) that I went to purchase, were extremely surly. For this, I will not be back and the reason for my 3 star review. read more

My sister lives near Vesta Bakery; any time we visit we try to make a stop here. They have amazing bread, in many different varieties too. The always have a good assortment of pastries too. The cakes are to die for- we had a chocolate cake that was probably the best cake I have ever had! My family still talks about how delicious it was, even a year later. read more

After researching Italian cookies trays online I decided to go with Vesta Bakery. I ordered 15 pounds of italian cookies for my daughter's wedding. My husband and I chose to have Vesta Bakery make our wedding cake after our wonderful experience with them for our cake tasting. They had prepared four small, unique and gorgeous little cakes for us to try. They gave us extra to take home and the tasting was complimentary. They were incredibly accommodating, making us a two flavored, naked cake. We chose a gingerbread flavor cake with buttercream frosting, and a vanilla flavor cake with apple pie filling and cream cheese frosting! We also had gingerbread snowflake cookies, individually wrapped as part of our wedding favor. And they even made me a separate, chocolate gluten-free cake for the cake cutting, and for me to enjoy since I am gluten free. Vesta Bakery delivered everything to our wedding venue, up in Warwick, RI. And their prices were exceptionally reasonable. I have also since had an incredible birthday cake made by Vesta and have ordered breakfast pastry for a party. My family and I plan to continue to use Vesta Bakery services for any of our cake and pastry needs and we cannot recommend their services highly enough. The quality of their products is amazing, the staff is incredible and the communication was always immediate. They are amazing! read more

Delicious cupcakes and pastries!! The eclair was also great. The sticky bun was eaten in about two bites, yummm!

Best bakery in Westerly! Consistently fresh and delicious. Their cakes are moist. This is our go-to bakery for birthday cakes. Most recently we tried cupcakes for a change and we loved them all. Give this place a try and you won't be disappointed. read more
