I arrived on time for my appointment. Upon arrival, Dr. Darush seemed different than usual and appeared somewhat distracted. During my appointment, he received a phone call on his personal cell phone and answered it. He then told me he needed to step outside to the parking lot. At that time, I had already been numbed and was waiting for the procedure to begin. Approximately 30 minutes passed while I remained in the treatment room. I became increasingly concerned and uncomfortable due to the length of time he was gone and the lack of explanation. I came out of the room to request a refund because I no longer felt comfortable proceeding. Each time I came out, the nurse urgently told me that he would be back soon and repeatedly instructed me to return to the room. Her reaction made me feel even more uneasy, as I felt she was trying to prevent me from going out to the parking lot. When Dr. Darush eventually returned, his demeanor seemed completely different. He appeared upbeat and said, "Okay, let's do it!" He also returned with an unfamiliar man who remained in the waiting room. I did not know who this individual was, and his presence added to my discomfort. At that point, I told Dr. Darush that I no longer felt comfortable having him perform the procedure. I explained that his leaving for an extended period of time, combined with the circumstances surrounding his return, caused me to question whether I could trust him to perform a medical procedure on me safely. In response, Dr. Darush said, "I don't do drugs like you do." I was shocked by this statement. I do not use drugs and do not drink alcohol. I felt this comment was inappropriate, accusatory, and extremely concerning coming from a physician. After this interaction, I no longer felt that I could trust Dr. Darush to perform any procedure on me. I requested a refund, and he left the area, brought the same individual from the waiting room, and took him into a back office area that was not a medical treatment room. I cannot say what was happening, but the entire experience was extremely concerning and made me feel unsafe. Given the circumstances, I believe this behavior warrants review. I am considering reporting this incident to the medical board because I am concerned about whether Dr. Darush is currently able to safely and professionally provide medical care to patients.

I have a scar under my nose from 15 years ago that has been one of my BIGGEST insecurities for half my life. I spent months researching options for scar resurfacing, laser, etc., and stumbled upon Ruth's scar camouflage service. After a few months of consideration, I am so happy I took a leap of faith and came to Ruth. She not only took the time to answer every question I had thoroughly, but she was very welcoming and comforting to me during my consultation. My scar is completely white/uneven and I told her I considered doing laser resurfacing and she educated me on how the type of scar I had would've been 10x worse if I went the laser route. She is extremely knowledgeable and PASSIONATE about her work. Ruth made me feel like she deeply cares about me and my results! I want to also give a special shout out to the sweet woman running the front desk. She was so kind and welcoming to my 7 year old daughter that had to come with me to my appointment. I didn't get the girls name but she was the sweetest even though she mentioned being short staffed that day and was working the front by herself.
