There are not enough words to say how talented Delaney is and how incredible it was working with…read moreher. I do not have a solid skin care routine and rarely wear makeup. I met Delaney at a work event and booked her with the only thought of "she seems fun and organized". About four months out from the wedding we had a consultation where we talked through my - well lack of - skin care routine and she gave great suggestions that have been so easy to implement into my chaotic daily life. For the wedding makeup, I expressed my concern of looking too processed and overdone as I have felt I've looked other times I've had my makeup done professionally. She was so thoughtful about what she picked and explained the process in detail as we went. Delaney also goes above and beyond "just" the makeup for the day. We had many folks getting their makeup done the morning of the wedding, and the schedule she built out was exactly perfect. I kept her on through the first look (I am a crier and it was very needed) to do touchups, but she also fully jumped in with helping with my dress, shoes, and anything else you could think of. I cannot wait for the next time I get to work with her!

The receptionist didn't make any calls to indicate they actually tried hard to find someone else. They advertise walk-ins so this was very disappointing seeing as I had an appointment, and have a health issue that prohibits me from driving so I had to take a day off of work, work out a ride, and have an event tomorrow which is why I made my appt for that day/time. On top of that, I was not offered parking validation (which they normally do), so I ended up paying for no services provided.

Yesterday it was also a very windy, rainy afternoon and evening so I really needed something done that would hold. The salon is not the best looking salon. It is what you expect for a mall salon. The place is clean but it could use some updating, especially the ugly, beige tile floor. On the plus side, I was able to get right in as a walk-in and they are very upfront about their pricing. The prices are low and reasonable (not the prices you find at high-end salons. I have my hair done by Nick. He was very professional in his demeanor. My hair is thin and prone to frizzing with humidity. I am also overdue to a keratin treatment so getting a nice blowout is difficult at this time. No matter. He used products to add volume to my hair and he did an excellent blowout. He did add some products that made the hair feel dry but not look dry and this was necessary to help the style hold due to the weather and my evening plans. My blow out held through walking around in intermittent rain and plenty of wind for 2 hours. ; ) 5 stars for Nick + 3 for the space / 2 = 4 stars
