I work 12 hour shifts and don't have a chance to call during business hours, so I submitted the requests through the form they provide online for an appointment. I've been going to Verve for 13 years now and it's been amazing. The staff has always been courteous and professional. I have never had any issues and any of my concerns have been addressed every time. This practice started as a small office and has evolved into a wonderful one-stop shop that is capable of addressing all of your issues. For instance, I had back pain and saw the chiropractic division for assistance. They were actually able to pinpoint the root cause as an imbalance in my blood, which was verified by labs taken from their medical division. I got that fixed and my lower back pain went away. They have massage therapists there that don't just rub your back. They identify the cause of your problems and you can get an adjustment that same day. I've become a big fan of Verve Wellness. Dr. Warkentin and his team always take great care of me and continue to express their sincere interest in my overall health. When walking in the door I am always greeted warmly by the front desk team and I am almost never left waiting by the doctors. Even if I arrive early, they take me early. I've never had that happen anywhere else. I've been seen and/or treated by Dr. Warkentin, Dr. Fuentes and Dr. Wolsey and each of them makes sure they take as much time with me as needed to ensure that I completely understand everything about my health, any issues I may have and the recommended go forward treatment. Not sure why this place has a average rating. I've been going to chiropractics for years and these guys are by far the best around. Most places want to get you in and out, rotate tables, so you feel like wham,bam thank you maam. Not Verve. They take their time with you and make you feel like they really care you get better. They do such a good job (2 visits and less pain already) that I don't mind the 11 mile drive. read more

At the end of May my wife's grandfather passed away and while I was sitting in the church waiting for the services to start I see Dr. Warkentin walk in and give a round of hugs to the immediate family. I was a patient here following an auto accident in November. The facility is amazing, except for the overpowering scent of vanilla that they use for aromatherapy. It gave me a headache every time I walked in the door. Dr. Wolsey was my chiropractor. He is very laid back and professional. He is very gentle on bad pain days. I haven't been in their care for about a month now, and desperately need an adjustment. So, I call to see how much it costs for an established patient for JUST an adjustment. $45!!!!!!!!!! Holy cow, absolutely not! Adjustments take 5 minutes, if that. There is no way I can afford nor would I pay $45 for a 5 minute appointment. I love my chiropractor and the facility, but that's just way too much. It's nice that they can get you in quickly if you have an emergency, but how do they expect people that don't have insurance to come back after their release if they're charging $45 for a 5 minute appointment? The one thing that disturbed me was that the doc seemed surprised that I needed to be released from care. Well, we'd spoken about it several times and I explained to him the lack of available funds for medical care from the auto insurance company. His attitude did bother me as he seemed ticked off, flustered and generally unhappy. He rushed through the discharge exam and just had a poor attitude. SO now, I am in horrid pain and can barely walk.. but guess what.. I get to just deal with it because their services are not affordable. I was really enjoying life and a reduced pain level. Those days are over. I am back to my miserable, always in pain self. Doctors seem to care more about living fancy lifestyles than they do about actually helping patients. It's all about money! Yes, it's a high-class facility but they have TONS of patients walking through those doors every single day for chiropractic care, dental services, massage therapy and general physician care. I'm so glad that all of you can live in your fancy houses and drive your expensive cars while your patients can't afford to come in because your rates are too high. read more

I was very apprehensive about going to a Chiropractor for the first time in my life (I'm 67) but I was put at ease from my very first visit. The entire staff works together and when one is walking by me they always ask if I'm doing okay. The reception staff is outstanding and both receptionists always greet me by name with a smile for each visit; when I leave they always say good bye and wish me a good day. Dr. Dan is extremely knowledgeable and never makes me feel he is in a hurry. He takes very good care of me. James, the PT, is right so many times in our conversations and in helping me fix a muscle that is hurting. He is outstanding. Dr. Chad surprises me with his unique exercises to help when I have an especially sore spot. He works in the Center and even though he is not my assigned Chiropractor he is outstanding with his recommendations. An excellent sign of team work which you see in every visit. I met Dr Warkentin today and was amazed. He is the Dr many people my age dream of. Down to earth, talks layman terminology so you understand what is being said, and takes the time to talk with you if you need it. He also had a new type of adjustment for me that he had created and it was outstanding. Although I do not require massages, Susie (the massage therapist) is always friendly and greets me with a friendly hi. Her patients are always eager to go in and see her and I hear so many comment on how wonderful she was in her treatment to them. This whole place is very welcoming. Always very clean and friendly. I drive 60 miles round trip twice a week to see them. There are probably at least 25 Chiropractors between my house and their office but I will continue to go to them. Sharon Y read more

These people are thieves! They tell you the 1st exam is $125 until you get there and they find out you have insurance then all of a sudden they're billing $568 for BS! They make you have xrays too! The WORST place I've ever been to in my life! Stay away! read more

Very disappointed with this office. My first visit they tried to charge me $125 even though I have insurance and a $25 copayment. They said if I overpay, they would refund the difference. When I said never mind, they called my insurance to verify and collected my $25. I was brought back and put on a roller bed for about 15 minutes, then put on the adjustment table and hooked up to some electronic muscle stimulator for another 15 or so minutes, then I was finally seen. The doc did about 4 adjustments and sent me on my way, asking me to come back in about 3 days. The next appt, I went back and there was a big dog walking around the office. I thought it was odd but went and got x-rays, then the exact same process as the previous trip except this time I only got 2 adjustments. Again, I was asked to come back in another week. The next appt was the worst. I had scheduled an appt and went in about 5 minutes early. I sat and waited 30 minutes and actually stood up to tell e receptionist never mind when some meathead guy called my name to go back. Again, first stop was the roller table but on the way there, meathead 1 ran into meathead customer 2 and went on to have a conversation while I was just standing there waiting. Kinda lame. Then table for 15 mins. While I was there, meathead asked me what I was being seen for. I stated I was in for a followup about a mid-back issue I had. En he brought me in two the exam room and put the electro things on my lower back and asked again if that was where I had issues. I reminded him it was my mid back and he moved the sensors up. 15 or so later, meathead ends up being the doc and AGAIN asks where my problem areas are. AGAIN I state I am in for a follow up only and it was my mid back that was causing me issues but it was feeling better. Meathead did one adjustment, said everything felt fine and I could come back whenever I wanted. I asked what he suggested and his response was "2 weeks, a month, whatever." he then pointed towards the door, then cut me off and stood in front of the door talking to meathead customer 3 blocking me into another dumb "bro" conversation. A made a follow up for 3 weeks later but conveniently missed my appt. The first visit wasn't horrible, but wasn't great. Second was more questionable, the third was unacceptable. I will not step foot into this place again and wouldn't send anyone less than an enemy here. read more

Clients beware! You CAN be physically hurt during an chiropractic adjustment! This is for those of you that don't know this and would like to stand up for your right to heal your injury at no charge. I recently went to Verve as a back up to my regular chiropractor because they were opened at certain times my regular doctor was not. I have been using them this way for a while. I went in and had a consultation with the doctor. I have been to chiropractors for over 30 years and was very comfortable speaking my physical discomforts and reason for being there. During one particular part of the adjustment I was on my back and my leg was bent over my body so as to adjust certain areas of my back. My hands were one on top of the other right under my left breast and as he pushed to adjust my hip he accidentally pushed on my rib and the cartilage. I felt it instantly and he asked me if it hurt when I breathed. It did. I remembered it had happened 8 years before and that the injury would be painful and would take a month to heal. In some of us who are over fifty the cartilage in our ribs has calcified and it can be shattered in an adjustment. Unfortunately it happens and a plan for the month long healing process must be available and implemented. The healing is not just physical but emotional for both the doctor and patient. What happened afterwards was shocking and says a LOT about the owner of Verve, Dr. David Warkentin. I suggested that I not be charged for that visit or any other visit until I healed. In response he showed up the next time when I was literally on a healing table and loudly suggested that I was not hurt in the way that I thought and that it was only a minor injury like one when you hurt after working out. I couldn't believe what I was hearing, in the mist of being in a LOT of pain!! Not only was he deflecting what he KNEW had happened but was trying to convince me I didn't know what I was talking about. I was literally jerked around by the owner more than once and he refused to let me heal the injury inflicted by VERVE for free. What an ego! In my opinion the guy is a jerk with little or no regard for his patients,definitely not a true healer. He wants your money. My hope is that my case somehow opened the doors for some kind of resolution being developed for other patients coming behind me who might be hurt in this way, both physically and emotionally. I took a poll by the way , with several chiropractors form the Valley and the answer was the same. Warkentin was deflecting the truth and not man enough to own it. My take, he had been sued before though thats not what I chose to do. The injury was a shattered cartilage in my upper left rib. It takes a month to heal it and is VERY painful. read more

It's unfortunate that I have to write this review as I'd been to Verve three years before and had a great experience. I had been experiencing some back pain recently and decided I'd go back to Verve. I made my appointment for the following week and took time off to attend the appointment. When I arrived, they couldn't find my appointment with the chiropractic service as I'd arranged. They'd actually made the appointment with the medical doctor and not the chiropractor. They indicated that they couldn't accommodate me that day and I made another appointment for two days later. They gave me new paperwork but I left the original paperwork I'd filled out for them as the insurance info would be the same. I arrived for the second appointment only to be told that they no longer honored my insurance. Wouldn't you think it might have been nice of them to call and let me know that BEFORE I came in for the second appointment? The receptionist was apologetic the first time I came in but definitely not so the second time. The doctors at the chiropractic side of Verve were very good (at least they were 3 years ago) so it's unfortunate that (as with many other doctor's offices these days) the front desk leaves much to be desired. It's interesting to me that they require you to sign an agreement to pay $25-$50 for a missed appointment but I can't bill them for the inconvenience they've caused me due to their disorganization and lack of respect for my time. after incurring intense lower back pain, I searched for a good chiropractor and discovered Dr Warkentin at the rateMDs website (under the Top 10 Chiropractors in the World) - what astounded me was that he had about 350 reviews (412 as of today), absolutely dwarfing the number of reviews for all other listed chiropractors - I also found out, to my surprise, that his clinic (actually a full-scale wellness center) was only about 15 minutes away - I made an appointment and was able to see him the same day - I had a full set of X-rays done - Dr Warkentin showed me the pertinent X-ray and provided an unrushed and thorough explanation of what was causing the pain in my back - he also pointed out areas that could lead to problems down the road - I was then put on a roller table, received electrical stimulation, had some adjustments done, and concluded the visit with cold laser therapy - subsequent visits added use of a spinal decompression machine - I also received instruction from his associate Dr Wolsey (who has a master's degree in Exercise Science) about how to strengthen my core muscles to provide support for my spine - after about 2 weeks worth of visits, about 90 to 95 percent of the pain was relieved // I've seen other chiropractors in the past - how Dr Warkentin conducts his practice blows them out of the water - it's evident his goal is excellence in terms of the quality of care he seeks to provide and the physical environment in which it's done (e.g. the patient restrooms resemble that of a luxury hotel; also, there is meticulous attention paid to upkeep, which explains why his large facility still looks new after 8 years) - in addition to being very personable and super sharp, Dr Warkentin is extraordinarily skilled at diagnosing conditions, going well beyond what the normal chiropractor is capable of doing (he's caught life-threatening problems that patients' physicians have missed, even though they're not in his official realm of expertise) - he attends surgeries weekly with some of the most skilled doctors in the Valley (neuro, spine, cardiovascular, etc.) to enhance his diagnostic capabilities - Dr Warkentin also has a desire to give back - e.g. he goes out of his way to provide affordable care to fire dept and military personnel - another example: he took a week off earlier this year to provide his expertise on a medical missions trip to Africa // Dr Warkentin sets an example and standard of what quality medical care should be like - he doesn't market - he obtains all his business by word-of-mouth - and having experienced first hand how he treats his patients, I now understand why his marketing budget is non-existent - some of his patients fly to his clinic to be treated by him, rather than visit a nearby local chiropractor - you can add me to the list of his fans - almost forgot, one last item to mention: on the day of my initial visit, Dr Warkentin gave me a call later in the evening to see how I was doing - it was completely unexpected - how many doctors bother to do that? - a most well deserved 5 stars! read more
