Only get an adjustment here, do not ask for recommendations on shoes or anything else here because of a recommendation to wear Crocs by one of the Dr's I am now having to go to a physical therapist for nerve pain in my foot from wearing crocs. My new chiropractor gave it to me straight and now I am purchasing better shoes and happily spending $300 on custom soles. The adjustments are good but if it's a more serious or painful problem I would go somewhere else. read more

My husband started having pain in his back because he was delivering skylights and driving for like 12-hours a day and getting out only to lift these heavy items off the truck and into the place he'd be delivering them to. Well he bought a 4-visit membership to The Joint and went the first 3 times, thinking it was originally helping but would only last about a day before he was in pain again. But after the third visit, he called and cancelled his membership. He could tell it was making things WAYYYY worse! We ended up moving back to California after that and then going to the ER and getting an MRI (which showed that he had two MAJOR slipped disks in his back). From there, we saw our Primary Physician and they told us that the only thing our insurance would pay for to fix it is surgery! My husband is only 35 and already needs a walker to help him walk! I hope that this surgery (in under a week) helps fix him! But EVERY doctor that we've seen SINCE going to The Joint ALL looked at us in SHOCK and HORROR after we mentioned The Joint to them. "oh yeah, they are DEFINITELY not a REAL chiropractor! Stay AWAY from them" was the unanimous statements we received. Never again. Do yourself the favor and find a REAL chiropractor that gives ALL their patients an exam and ONLY cracks them in places that they SPECIFICALLY need to be cracked BASED on that exam! It may seem like a good deal, but anywhere that gives ALL their patients the EXACT same treatment and gets their patients in and out in under two minutes may SOUND good at first, but that should be the red flag you need to run! Hope this helps someone make a decision that will save their body and help them AVOID having to go through back surgery and not have to use a walker/wheel chair at age 35! The staff is nice enough, but that's about it. I've always been skeptical of chiropractic care, and coming here did nothing to change my mind. After dealing with pain in my upper back/shoulder for a few days without relief, I decided to come here. I was in for all of a few minutes, provided with their one size fits all "adjustment", given a sales pitch on their membership, and left feeling exactly the same as when I walked it. Had I known that The Joint only really does the same adjustment for each person and doesn't address specific concerns, I likely would not have gone there. read more

Recommended by my wife, (how can you go wrong) this place like the express line at the store. You're in and out in just a few minutes. I've been needing an adjustment for some time , but was reluctant to go to some place new. My experience has been several costly x-rays, a ton of forms to fill out, and getting harassed into making a bunch of future follow up appointments. I came in for the first time and had one form to complete. By the time I had completed the form, the Dr. was ready to see me. He asked me a few questions, examined my spine, and went to work. 5 minutes later my neck and back felt so much better. He suggested I come in for another visit, but didn't pressure me. The price was very reasonable. When I paid, I got a card they can scan for when I check in for future visits. This is where I will come to have my adjustments from now on. read more

Gotta say really impressed with the service here. I hate going to Chiropractors and it takes you 1 hr to get in and out and they tell you you gotta see them 20 times before you feel better, well this place is not like that. You walk in fill a couple things out and your in the back getting adjusted. I was in and out in 15 min. I told him what the problem was it happens to me once in a while and he took care of it. The front desk rep, and i, engaged in a small conversation about where i had recently moved from. He was very polite and easy to talk to. I called today to get a new patient appointment and asked about the $29 initial new patient offer that is on their website, was told no they wont honor their own offer they wanted me to sign up for a $60 month membership right from day one! No exam done to let them know what kind of care I might need, just wanted me to sign up automatically! I have been to many Chiropractors before and even worked for them! After experiencing a lower back injury while helping my husband move a refrigerator, and living in pain for more than a week, I decided it was time to see a doctor. I didn't want to go to my PCP because I didn't want to be loaded down with heavy duty pain meds. I researched Chiropractors in Mesa, and after reading reviews and websites, I decided on The Joint. This is a walk-in clinic, they do not take insurance. I walked in on a Monday right at 10 when they opened. I was greeted warmly by the receptionist and explained that I am a new patient, and needed to be seen by the doctor. She gave me the new patient packet to fill out, and a short time later, I was met by Dr. Peterson. I explained to him what happened, and the areas of my pain. Because it was my first time, he did an examination of my range of motion, and got to work fixing my problem. Dr. Peterson is quick, and gentle. He gave me some stretches to do to help my sciatic nerve, and to help strengthen my lower back. I have gone 2X a week for 2 weeks now, and I am feeling much better! The front office staff is friendly, the clinic is clean, and Dr. Peterson is great! The prices are low. They offer a $29 dollar first visit. There are wellness plans available as well. The Joint will be my place to go from now on for my Chiropractic needs! read more

This location has been my primary location for a couple years now. The doctors and staff have treated me so well and did everything they could to help me get things taken care of to have my desk adjusted at work. The receptionist Amber always greets me with a smile and great conversation. Every time I have questions or concerns she gets answers immediately. I honestly feel she is the best of the 3 I've met there. Amber deserves a raise for her excellent customer service. Honestly if it wasn't for the extra mile she goes I'm not sure I'd have stayed as long. She is truly an asset and I hope she is there for all my visits. read more

I have been going to The Joint since 2011, a long time. My work took me across the SE Valley so I've been to about 5 different locations in 8 years. This location is by far, in my monthly experiences, the best. With 3 Dr's, Dr Harris, Dr Lance & Dr Taylor, who have been here for some time, all with pretty consistent adjustment techniques. So I can go to any of them. Some other locations may have only 1 great Dr, or 1 location I went to the Dr claimed he doesn't do shoulder work, which was a complete waste of a visit for me. If you use chiropractors, you know they are not all created equal. Today my shout out is to Dr Lance. I arrived Saturday with 1 shoulder out of whack, sloped down about 2 inches compared to the other. I was in so much pain. He fixed me up, said to come back Monday just to stay on top of my injury. I didn't because I felt like a new person. But today, Wednesday, I decided even though I felt great I probably should stay on top of it. A Minor maintenance adjustment. I'm sure Dr Lance was pretty surprised I kept my word & didn't wait 4 weeks this time. He is AWESOME! They are all AWESOME, including front desk. You can't go wrong with this location! read more

I have been going to this location for years. Dr. Harris and Dr. Peterson are absolutely the best. I have been to other Joint locations closer to my house and have seen several different chiropractors and none of them have been able to help me like the doctors here at Red Mountain. I get weekly adjustments, sometimes more, and I'm very thankful to have found such wonderful chiropractors to keep me in alignment. I honestly don't know what I would do without them. My husband tried this place several years ago, but their tables are not able to support an larger person and therefore has not been able to return and get some relief from his pain. I am having a fibromyalgia flare up and in desperation decided to try a chiropractor. I am seeking some relief from this pain that is crazy bad. After one treatment my pain was relieved for awhile but then it returned. I do not think that this is a reflection of the treatment, but the fibromyalgia. I am considering going back for another try at some pain relief. The desk receptionist was wonderful. She was very kind and explained my options for treatment. Insurance is not used at this facility, which actually makes it so much easier to seek relief. Treatment plans seem very affordable, but I do wonder how long are you locked into the monthly plan. It is so nice to know that you can just walk in and get some help. No appointment is needed and the weekend and evening hours are great. Something to consider might be expanding the hours so the medical professionals who get off work at 7:30 am and 7:30 pm have a place to go after those long exhausting shifts. read more
