When I decided to move to Hongkong friends gave me the advice to explore something new and…read moredeveloped the wish to learn more about Kung Fu. Wing Chun should be studied where it began... in China (Hongkong). Wing Chun is a system of kung fu designed for inner health and realistic self-defence. At the pinnacle of Wing Chun stands amplified mindfulness and effortless power also known as 'Nim Lik' or 'Mind Force'; this is the true essence of Wing Chun. Effortless power convinced me and I sent an email to the Mindful Wing Chun centre in my neighbourhood and the reply was so prompt and friendly that I went there the very next day. I got to meet the dedicated and kind teachers and felt it was the right place for my further exploration of martial arts. Chris taught me a fantastic introductory class. The next day I went there for a meditation and two more classes. The teachers have all studied Wing Chun for many years and are very patient and professional, so were the other students. Wing Chun is a wonderful art/sports. I can only recommend emailing them and trying a complimentary class. I will now try to find strength through balance and relaxation. Three month membership and can attend any class. Mindful Wing Chun's schedule offers a large variety of classes, also meditation which is the foundation of any martial or yogic art.

The uniqueness of our “internal” style of Wing Chun was inspired by the teachings of our teacher, Grandmaster Chu Shong Tin. He was considered one of the greatest practitioners and teachers of this art of Kung Fu. This internal aspect of the art makes Wing Chun much more than just an outstanding self-defence system. It also helps balance the body and mind by cultivating mindfulness and deep relaxation. Leading to a pain-free, stress-free life.

They immediately fixed the issue and sent my products via express post (I only paid for standard post). When the items arrived, one of the items was not the correct colour. Once again, i contacted the store and they immediately offered a full refund on that item whilst allowing me to keep the item as well! Sometimes, errors happen and its how the company deals with the error that matters. The level of customer service I have received is truly exceptional. It's rare to find such great customer service from an online store. I will definitely be purchasing all of my fight gear from these guys in the future and could not recommend them any higher.

Something…read morehappened with their foreign investors shortly after opening and now the local owner, Fight Factory, has taken over this location as well as their Central location. My husband and I joined when it was branded as Hayabusa and signed up for two years @ HKD80K--quite expensive! However, we hoped that it would be professionally/internationally managed and weren't told there would be a change in ownership. We planned to attend classes 2x/week and this is stated in our contract. Our contract included a set amount of personal training sessions, which we needed to use within a six month period of time. Unfortunately, the gym hasn't scaled classes with their increasing membership base, they cancel weekly prime time classes (7 and 8 pm, so right after work) and they continue to market Groupon classes. As a result, over the last 6-8 months, it's almost impossible to book a class day before/same day and scheduling personal training can be challenging because lack of sufficient staff. Furthermore, there's no transparency to this company's booking (you have to call, there's no online booking for members) and local management is so poor that they don't care about the service or quality standard they're delivering. When I complained, I was told that I wasn't welcome anymore at this gym. Of course, I'm taking this up with the HK authorities (Consumer Council) but hope to warn others to avoid similar disappointment.
