Still on this stupid diet, so I had the salad with chicken on it for the main course. Also very good. Crisp lettuce, grilled chicken and some large, thin bacon type things that were very tasty. We had a child with us, so they put us upstairs near the children's play area which was nice. However, it was very dark up there and, even with the lights turned on and bright windows, it felt dim. Because we were seated upstairs, service was pretty lacking and we felt forgotten. The food itself was ok. The seafood platter was very appetizing and had a nice variety of options. However, our clam pasta was so lukewarm, bland, and watery, it felt like an insult to the clams and Italian food in general. The bread was also cold, but the butter was nice. Overall, we had a nice time because we were with good company, but IJ Kantine didn't impress.
