You'll be waiting an hour on average. Over 3 years at this dentist and I've avoided posting this because I keep holding out hope things will change. To be clear here: YOU WILL BE WAITING BEETWEEN 30 minutes to an HOUR on an appointment. I promise. Once you're taken back and seated you will be waiting another 10 - 30 minutes again. If you confirm 8:30 - you just won't get in before 9. A coin flip says you may even get in around 9:30. You might assume it's a rare unfortunate delay. This is a baseline average. Yet, every single appointment throughout the years is the same and I've had partial dentures, multiple extractions and post op checkups, denture adjustments and my girlfriend has had appointments as well. Always goes like this. The kicker is I've been in as a walk-in multiple times and actually end up getting in much quicker. They don't have enough dentists for the patient load and if you confirm your appointment days in advance you'll likely need to confirm it day before. If you do not, they will surrender your appointment and treat you as a walk in. I understand this to a degree but only if in turn appointment times go as scheduled yet they never do. The staff knows this but reluctantly admit that it's common when pressed but give no realistic expectation that you'll be waiting over a half an hour past your scheduled time. I assume they're not allowed to. On the upside - the dentist I see frequently - Singh - is pretty good from what I can tell. However it is transparent to no fault of his own he is bouncing between rooms like a rabid squirrel just trying to keep up while the person I spend most of the time talking to has to go back and forth between him and I to answer questions. I don't expect a gentle therapist I just expect to not feel like I'm holding things up when I had to wait an hour to get seen. I continue to go here because the front desk staff is nice - not fake nice - like is common in medical offices, but MOSTLY because of my partial dentures. If I just went here for checkups I wouldn't bother writing this I'd just go somewhere else. Again - this is not on the staff or the skill set of the dentists. They just aren't quite enough to makeup for the terrible scheduling management. I started writing this 20 minutes after my apt was scheduled. It is now 55 minutes after and I am still in the waiting room. If you see my family, tell them i miss them but the waiting room is all I know anymore, and I expect by the time I'm released things will have changed too much. I may die in this chair. Please remember me fondly.

I had my first visit to Aspen Dental yesterday. I should have taken the reviews seriously, and if I…read morehad done so I would never have darkened their doorstep. First the positive. The people were all friendly and professional. Getting the appointment was relatively easy, though I did not know what to expect. I arrived about 15 minutes early for my 3:00pm appointment. At 3:00 I was escorted into the X-ray room where the tech took approximately 20 X-rays. (I didn't count them so it might have been a few more or less.) After the X-rays I was escorted into the exam room where I waited for 35 minutes until the dentist came in to begin the exam. We discussed my issues, two broken teeth, would require extraction and in addition there were two missing teeth that would either get a bridge or implants depending on my budget. In addition, he found several cavities that he said would require filling. After the exam I was taken to see the office manager. She presented me with 2 documents. Each included the total for option 1 and option 2. Option 1 was for the bridge and option 2 was for the implants. The documents were totals only and did not include any detail. I thanked her and head home. Upon reaching home I got my reading glasses and began to review the documents, and upon discovering the lack of detail I phoned the office manager to inquire so I could be sure that everything was covered. I was informed that until I sign the agreement to commence treatment I would not be able to see the detail. I was a little confused so I asked again to be sure I understood. "You mean I cannot know what I am agreeing to until I have signed the document indicating my agreement?" The answer was "Yes." Needless to say, that does not seem right to me. I was not allowed to review all of the items we discussed. It also seems wrong to me that a cleaning would be required before any treatment would begin. Same can be said for the X-rays. Since I had not agreed to service why were X-rays so critical. The bottom line was a cost of over $13,000 for bridge work and over $16,000 for implants. With no way of knowing what other incremental costs would be involved I cannot in good conscience return for any dental work. Caveat Emptor!

On arrival when I checked in the young girl at the counter sighed at me giving her my name and said "I was going to call but didn't get around to it" and she had to cancel my appointment due to the X-ray being down. She was unapologetic and gave me another dentist to go to who also couldn't get me in for another couple days. This being my only day off and being in pain for several days already waiting on this appointment I had to find an emergency dentist to take me in. I HIGHLY recommend 24/7 dental who took me in asap and gave me the help I needed and with a smile on their face.

The office is very clean and nice. Free coffee, nice referral program and friendly hygienists. The office manager however is a total nightmare to deal with. The final straw for me was the collections notice I received from Linda VanVolkenburgh notifying me my appointments had been cancelled and my account sent to collection. I quote,"you have continuously ignored my repeated request for payment". Unprofessional much? This isn't the first issue I have had with improper insurance billing from the office. I never received a bill for the $50 dollars I supposedly owed but I did have a receipt for the same day for a completely different amount. Turns out I never received a bill, nor did Linda ever bill my insurance company. I'm much too busy to have to continuously check my claims when I visit the dentist the ensure I'm being billed correctly or spending my time on the phone with a rude office manager arguing over money I don't owe. I'll take my business elsewhere until the practice finds a more competent office staff.

I never received a bill from them saying I owed anything. Then, five months later, I received an overdue bill stating I needed to pay $xxx.xx in 14 days to avoid being sent to collections. I called them one day later and was told it had already been sent to collections. The only "apology" I received was, "Well, I guess our system sent it a little early (ha ha ha)." You will have to contact the collection company about that. Also, since your account was sent to collections, you are no longer eligible for our services. Are there any other concerns you would like to discuss about any other patient? Being laughed at because their system wasn't working correctly, and then instead of trying to work with me, just saying I'm no longer a patient and asking if I want to discuss any other patients, is a rude and unprofessional way to do business. To top it all off, when I asked for my records, they refused. They said that all patient records are their property and cannot be removed or copied from the facility. They are the patient's property, not the business's.
