My two year old usually has no issues on play structures but this one tested her abilities. I'd say best for older kids overall. With that, there was still a number of fun things for her to do like play on the rock wall, swings, the hammock style swing, climb on the alligator, explore in the dry creek and we even rolled down the giant hill. We collected leaves, little pine cones, and watched squirrels in the dry creek. The shade trees were so nice, because it allowed us to beat the heat and enjoy being outdoors a bit longer. The park also has a water refill station to help you stay hydrated. No bathrooms, so go before you come, but definitely a fun little outing for a local park!

The neighborhood itself seems fine, but there seemed to be people treating it on the e pescadero side as a park & ride. Men standing around waiting for people to pick them up, and a questionable transaction happening where someone was buying goods from a car that rolled up to meet them. Apart from that, the provided dog poop bags were empty and probably haven't been filled in quite some time. There seemed to unusual amounts of cat and/or dog poop in the lawn and even on the sidewalk in two separate places. This didn't make it a very welcoming park for our family. All that aside, we opted to keep the soccer ball in the car and just play on the play structures and swings. The play structure itself was in good shape for its age, and had some fun interesting features to it. There's lots of shades along the walking paths and around the picnic areas, which is a nice feature also. We ended up leaving because someone on a bike showed up and sat down at the picnic tables to smoke. We were downwind of it, and I don't want that in my kids lungs. The park could benefit from some better signage for the rules (no smoking!) I know the city has this one up for talks for a remodel, I hope they can do some things to deter all the men from using the park as a place for dealing, smoking, ect. And make it more family friendly. I don't think I'd come here without my husband given the things we've witnessed. This neighborhood deserves a clean, safe place to play with their kiddos!

The center of the park also has a well shaded Gazebo unlike any of the other Parks in Mountain House which makes it perfect in those hot Summer months when temperatures soar to over 100. It's been a long time since I've been to one and the fond memories of my childhood were rejuvenated. Upon arriving at the venue, the line of vehicles to enter Robertson Park was backed up, so we decided to park outside the park and hoof it in. On this occasion I was taking my daughter and her boyfriend to the rodeo. I had pre-ordered tickets so I was ensured a seat in the grandstand. This rodeo is known for selling out every year. As we were coming upon the entrance we were greeted by animal rights protesters. They were handing out flyers protesting animal cruelty. I politely said no thank you and proceeded to enter the venue. Upon entering we browsed the line of merchants selling western products and saw my friends booth (check out Pieces by Danielle on instagram). We then grabbed a corn dog and proceeded to out seats. Thank God I paid extra for coverage in the grandstand on this hot day! The cowboys and cowgirls participated in roping events, bronco riding, barrel racing and bull riding. My childhood dream job was to become a rodeo clown! We really enjoyed the rodeo and especially my daughter's boyfriend. This was his first rodeo! Can't wait for next June!

A liked this park a lot until someone tried to kick my small 13 lbs dog. Someone tried to enter…read morewith a golden retriever, who clearly is over the 20 pound limit, and my dog got excited and wanted to greet the dog, as did a lot of other dogs. I was on the grass cleaning up my dog's poo and as I was walking back I saw a man try to kick my dog. This man also has a dog that is over the size limit for the small dog park. Obviously, I called out this man for trying to kick my dog and was told by someone else that they don't really follow the small size limit (clearly posted on the fence), it's more on temperament. This man then tried to get everybody to agree that my dog was aggressively barking, but I didn't hear anyone jump on his band wagon. I have seen both the golden retriever and this other man's dog at the park before. About two weeks prior the golden retriever was involved in an incident with a French bulldog. My dog is not an aggressive dog at all. There isn't an ounce of alpha dog in him. He likes to greet the dogs when they come in the park and in this case, there were four or five other dogs also greeting this golden retriever. I don't know why it was my dog this man had a problem with. Anyone who tries to kick a dog who is in no way in any type of confrontation, fight, conflict, harming another dog can't be trusted.

The neighborhood in the immediate vicinity leaves much to be desired and you'd better arm your vehicle alarm system before leaving it parked. On a happier note: My dad used to call it Dad's Point and the name has been around with Stockton locals for years. This was probably my first fishing experience as is still many local kids and their dads! (Maybe that's where the nickname came from?) This is an inexpensive place to launch your vessel whether it be a kayak, ski boat, row boat, canoe or other. The docks are beautiful and the launching area was moved from it's old location and is state of the art. Stockton, like other city's its size and larger is struggling financially but, this redo was done before the pot ran dry! This is my choice for spending Mother's Day afternoon with my husband this year; kayaking up the waterway near Pixie Woods and Riviera Heights!

Well, thank those who created and founded this parkway. I haven't read the other reviews but…read morefinding like a place to park and walk is a pain in the ass. I gave up and parked on lathrop road where it's intersecting the Tidewater Trail and theres a traffic light that has that trail name. that's the only traffic is the possibility of pedestrians and maybe a parked car(s) in this ditch or something whatever it's called but i didn't want to park there because of this private property sign. I parked on the side of the road (close to the intersection) where the cavalry community church food distribution center is; the opposing side has no parking any time signs, and so does the side that I parked BUT on the left of this church entrance which is like a half a mile or so down. And actually there was a car parked already too. I want to say it should be fine where I parked. I left about 8 and it was still parked there. Anywho, I was Walking my small dog on a leash, and got onto the trail. It's funny because i see this trail almost everywhere on some streets seeing the tidewater bike trail arrow signs. Finally, I walked on it. There are other people walking and also on bikes. There are posted signs with guidelines at each street intersection. There are dog walkers too and yes there leashed and big ass pit bulls where wanting to get near my small dog growling; I walked on the opposite side and I'd be sure to glance back here and there, and keep your headphones volume low just in case. I came across a park called northgate park and there's a walkway "bike trail ends" which leads into the park. And I seen a softball game with kids, cheering and applauding and a few spectators on the trail also. It's pretty recreational and I just may choose this park next to just go on the trail. Anyhow I continued walking and this goes a long, long long way, 7 miles!! And I only walked just 3 miles one way and walked back to my parked car. This is indeed a bike trail, and I'd want to get a bike soon. And there's low star reviews on here complaining that the trail/road isn't good enough For their skates or skateboard. Pshhh gimme a break. There's a small skate park for that, which is also on the trail too. Trail isnt hard to miss, just look for arrow signs at each intersection when crossing the street. I'm looking forward to more of my future walks here. ...........damn 24 hourfitness had to close which I only had membership so this is how I exercise.

Tidewater Bikeway is a North to South oriented paved Bicycle Path located almost in the center of…read moreManteca. IMO, Tidewater Bikeway is an inappropriate name for this Walking / Jogging Path. The paved Bikeway extends from the center of the city at the NorthWest corner of Wilson Park to the northern part of the city at around the 700 block of Lathrop Road, probably a total of less than four miles. The Southern part of the Pathway is at Moffat Road. The Pathway parallels Moffat Road for about two miles down to Spreckles Avenue. The route is really not challenging enough to classify it for someone with wheels would use, whether it be Skates or Bicycles... it's just too short a route, and there are mandatory stops at all major intersections. And that break from Center to Moffat... you can literally get lost! At every major intersection there are Pedestrian Push Buttons that control the operation of Traffic Lights. Water - There are Drinking Fountains, usually located at the South side of the intersection of every cross street - sized both for kids and adults. I usually fill up my water bottle at the Lathrop Road drinking fountain before riding back to Lodi. Rest Stops - There are benches to sit on, located intermittently at the side of the paved Bikeway for those that need to rest up. The intersections also provide a minute's pause before continuing on... Safety - I've biked the Bikeway every time I've ridden my Bicycle to Manteca and unlike most Parks which are just magnets to transients and the like, the only people I've seen are actual Walkers, Joggers, or Bicyclists. Even though I've never been there at night, the Bikeway seems to be lit at night with the numerous Light Poles that line the Bikeway. At the center of the Bikeway Path, about ten feet West of the Path itself, is a Phone which is encased in bright Yellow plastic attached to a pole which can be used for Emergencies - unfortunately, there's only one... and you have to know where it is... Convenience - A user can get off the path at any of the major intersections to get to Main Street within just a few blocks East. And there's many Parks and Baseball Fields within a few steps of the Bikeway. The Path, itself, is only ten feet wide, but the path is directly in the center of a strip of land about 20-30 yards wide that is essentially a narrow Park. It is immaculately landscaped and maintained... every time I rode through the Bikeway, it's been clean as a whistle. But not very many people use it, it seems. ***** - Joggers, Walkers *** - Bicyclists, Skaters - despite my criticism, though, I've used the Bikeway every time I've ridden to Manteca... maybe it's not so bad after all... Update: 07-30-2010 This year, I've noticed that there's evidence of Budget cutbacks in Manteca that results in reduced maintenance of the Bikeway... extensive weed and grass growth, reduced watering of the lawn portion of the Bikeway, and evidence of burrowing mammals taking over certain parts of the Bikeway. But the citizenry of Manteca in certain portions of the Bikeway, especially in portions that is adjoining to a residence backyard, the residents have used their own water supply to hydrate the lawn area! Cool!
