When the owner called me he said "Did you shop around we are the cheapest" And no we didn't because we had you install a faucet several weeks back that we supplied and the bill was $400.! So being loyal to local business was a priority. How wrong we were. If you stop and think about the price of the water heater whether it be same day service (which we did not ask for) what a rip off that company is. Stay far far away!

He said I called "a few times" - I called 10 times. Once to schedule. Twice to confirm after some weirdness. And the seven dates listed below spread out over a month. Their recording did say they weren't taking on new business. Since I had scheduled it previously, and verified, I should not have been included in the "new business." My messages all said something along the lines of, "I heard your message. We've been scheduled for some time, please have someone call me back to confirm my house will still get done, yaddah yaddah yaddah..." It was have taken him 90 seconds to return one of my many messages - way less time than it took him to pen his response to me below. -- The first time we used them they were fine. The second time, they screwed me over real bad. I called two weeks before Thanksgiving and scheduled two service visits to have our gutters cleaned - one to happen immediately, and other to happen the week after Thanksgiving. I explained why (they were full, a storm was coming, and we needed them cleaned immediately or it causes flooding in our house, the next visit would be at the end of the season after our trees were done with the cycle). I got a voicemail the day after our first visit was scheduled - the worker came to our home but decided not to do the job, because he saw a for sale sign out in front of it, and said we should wait until our house sells so they were clear for the inspection (1. Not his decision to make, 2. We had scheduled two services, so this was already addressed). I got a hold of him, asked him to come back, told him we had two services scheduled, and CONFIRMED that we had two services scheduled. They never showed up for the second service after Thanksgiving. I left messages on 12/1, 12/11, 12/13. 12/15, 12/19, 12/21, and 12/26. I asked to please have someone call me back, so I would know if they screwed up their end again (worded much nicer at the time), or if they were just running behind due to weather. They still have not found me human enough to return my call. Now my gutters are full, covered with ice and snow, and I'm trying to sell my house. There are lots of gutter people out there. Go find another one who might show you an iota of respect and might succumb to showing some appreciation for their customer's time, money, and homes.

Up until Monday, I have experienced as their website claims: "outstanding customer service that has been our hallmark for the past 25 years." Helen is the absolute best! After receiving a $150 bill for a 20 min service repair to clean a flame sensor rod at 4:30 pm last Friday, I requested a conversation with the CEO to negotiate a more reasonable price, and to discuss his policy about my furnace's full warranty only applying if I purchased the yearly service check at the cost of $89/yr, which I didn't find out about until after installation. I experienced an even bigger disappointment with the phone call response to my concern about the high cost for such a simple repair to detect & fix that I watched the tech perform. A full furnace cleaning and tune-up is $70. Mike D'Andrea was argumentative, demeaning and outright arrogant in response to my complaint - He tried to use every sales technique in the book to justify the supposed value I received despite my continual objection - including reference to an article about "firing your customers." He insisted that the HVAC industry sets the standard for fair prices and perceived value, despite what the local market demands. He continually tried to "educate" me with sales pitches about "flat rate price formulary books" that provide powerful sales tools to increase profit margins with higher service invoices using opaque mark-ups. This practice is outlined in "Setting Your Flat-Rate Prices" by Charlie Greer who touts that he helps "contractors become Millionaires every day" on www.hvacprofitboosters.com. Despite 'Flat Rate' business model promises of incredible profit margins, reduced costs, simplified accounting, etc.--the savings don't seem to be shared with repeat customers. It's a deceptive make-money-quick scheme designed to cover up an outrageous marked-up hourly rate. Buyer beware--itemized invoices are segregated in order to protect the consumer from unfair billing and up-charges by the service provider. Enlightening responses to consumer complaints about Flat-Rate Pricing practices can be found on Angie's List. I definitely will be taking future business to a company committed to making a good faith effort to resolve consumer complaints. Lesson learned.
