So I've been here 4 times in a week and half. They have crack soaps at great prices! + Ambiance is a factory store on Exchange St. far from any retailers. Shop is well organized with sprinkles of antique boxes (not for sale). ++ These are real soaps (not surfactants like in most commercially made products) made of natural ingredients. They smell great like candles and are purposeful. You can find all sorts of soaps for different skin conditions. My fav so far are bluebar with tea tree and peppermint and charcoal pumice. Soaps are sold by weight here so I bought a little bit of different kinds to figure out what I like. + Service is super friendly and helpful! + Price is fantastic. Most soaps are sold by $/lb. They offer some packaged soaps and skincare per unit price. + Parking is easy. There are only a few spots but I've not had any trouble finding a spot. read more

I placed Order #519728 on August 21, 2020 and my credit card was charged August 22. A month later I hadn't received the shipment, so I logged in to find my order was still in "processing" status. I checked my email and noticed that I had never received the automated "Your Order Shipped" alert that Vermont Soap usually sends upon shipping an order. I inquired with Vermont Soap. On September 21, they claimed that the USPS had an issue with my address -- the address saved on my Vermont Soap account, used for 10 successful orders since August 12, 2014 -- and the shipment had been returned to them September 11. By that point, they had known for 10 days. They had never notified me. In Vermont Soap's replies to my emails, I got their apologies for the issues from the UPS and USPS. I got apologies for confusion and misinformation. I never got apologies for the fact that nobody reached out to tell me, despite knowing my order hadn't been fulfilled for a month after taking my money. When I asked what was going on with my order, I was told that a refund request was submitted by Vermont Soap. I never saw evidence of a refund, so I had to file a complaint through my credit card company instead. I got a weak explanation that my address on record was the culprit. I never got assurance that future orders I placed would be delivered. I enjoyed Vermont Soap products for six years. They were fine products. But a week of unacceptable customer service washed away years of trust. I must say, I've been delighted by just how many competitors are available today. I had feared that it'd be difficult to find a worthy replacement, but the only difficulty was choosing from dozens of new players in the organic skincare industry. I bought few different kind of soap from this company and I love the smell of it all. I am using one at the moment but it is so mild and nothing can beat the natural soap.. We live in Western New York and have this stuff shipped to us. Great product that has totally revitalized my skin. Takes some time but once you faithfully use it your skin will be better than ever. Scents are also fantastic and the array of products are amazing. My favorite is patchouli hemp soap and the Shea butter, a moisturizing product that helps dry skin immensely. My mother uses the liquid sunshine washing the dishes, doing the laundry, to mopping the floor. Super versatile and awesome. Also a great baby soap that helps your kids from not breaking out. For the last three years I have had terribly dry and cracked hands. I have tried 20 different kinds of soaps and lotions and nothing worked. Four months ago I began getting tiny water filled blisters on my hands and fingers. After researching and researching I found your site and read about you soaps. I placed an order on Amazon.com for non scented foaming hand soap and received it Friday. In three day my hands are no longer cracked and dry and my water filled blisters gone. We bought some shampoo from a store in North Conway because we forgot ours. I picked the Orange scented one because I hate lavender with a passion. However, I did not intend to end up smelling like an actual orange. The smell was so strong that it stuck around for hours, and not in a great way. Maybe its just me, but it was very powerful. It also did not suds greatly, but I think that is because it was made for oily hair, which I do not have. read more
