Great service and selection. Big thanks from California! I had been on a search for the "Unicorn Magnum Pepper Mill" and it seemed to be out of stock everywhere online... except Vermont Kitchen Supply! Happy to have been able to order through a small business. I ordered a few other things and received a personal email stating an item was out of stock, but that they'd still honor free shipping. I got my order in a timely manner and included was a hand written thank you note for my order. Thanks again Vermont Kitchen Supply!! read more

Vermont Kitchen Supply is so much fun! The inventory is higher end. I bought a set of measuring cups that cost over $40, but they will be the last measuring cups I ever buy. They are outstanding. I have worked with some of the best chefs in the world on Food Network, and PBS and love to cook myself. Vermont Kitchen Supply has always been my go-to place to find anything I need, whether it be for a show, cookbook, morning show segment, or my own home use. The owner is the real deal, so friendly and knowledgeable. She's helped me with my new foray in to sourdough baking, and suggested tools that really make the process easier. The plastic tubs for proofing, the handy lame, and indispensable VT cookstick. I've started ordering what I need through them instead of buying on amazon and it makes me feel good to know my $ is supporting a local business and there is someone very competent there to make suggestions and answer my questions. read more

I wish I could visit this store in person. The building looks so cozy and charming from the outside. I'm sure it's a gem inside too bc they only carry products from TOP manufacturers in the industry! I'm glad I could purchase from their online store and support their small business all the way from Los Angeles. After searching for hours and seeing that every place I checked is sold out or backordered for a month, I stumbled upon their website and saw that they had the Emile Henry cloche (made in France)! At first I was reluctant to purchase since I originally wanted it in charcoal. They only had burgundy and linen (off white). I ended up ordering the burgundy which is gorgeous, if not better than the charcoal. I got the LAST one too and it was shipped on the same day! Now I don't have to wait a month to bake my next sourdough. Their customer service over the phone is wonderful. When I first called, the line was busy so I hung up. Then a minute later I got a call back from one of the women who work there to ask if I needed help with something. She was really nice and helpful. Next, I'm in the market for knives and I might just order my Shun knives here. I love this store! AMAZING selection of high quality products. read more

I absolutely love this place! I happened upon it while killing time waiting for the wide to shop at the Gap outlet across the street a couple or three years ago and now I go back whenever I'm in VT. You name it, they've got it. For such a small space I'm constantly amazed at the variety of inventory they carry. Can't go into the place without dropping a C note or two now. Contrary to one of the previous reviews, I have always fond the staff and owners quite pleasant and helpful. In fact, when I was in there today the owner remembered me, where I was from, what I had previously purchased and even that my wife liked the Gap outlet. And I haven't been in the place in about 10 months. Just found out that also have an online side as well. Probably not going to be good for my wallet but yeah! read more

The only reason I'm giving this store a 2 star is because they have a large verity of products. I walked in & with me being the happy friendly person I am...I said "Oh I love this pot!" Do you know what her come t was? "Then buy it". I was done after that. I walked all through the store looked around and they never said another word to me. Snotty help. All the other stores in this lovely town were nice! read more

I love to visit Vermont Kitchen Supply when I'm in town! This store is very small, but they are completely packed to the gills with every kind of kitchen item you could ever want, or need, or didn't know you needed and now you want. I also really like all of the staff here. Each employee knows a fair amount about each section of the store. For example, I wanted to buy a wok, but I wanted a low maintenance wok that would be easy to clean. They produced one out of the back, brand new in the box. I also wanted a few other gadgets and the employee helping me patiently pointed me in the right direction and guided me in deciding which tools fit my needs best. I was able to find a ton of unique gifts for friends and family in the store. There really is something for everyone here. Pay special attention to their cheese section. Every cheese nerd needs to see what they have to offer from slicing to labeling, they have it! They also have a decent website if you're not lucky enough to be local. Call them if you are looking for an item that is not listed online. read more

BEST Kitchen store ever! I am quite a fan of the Vermont Kitchen Supply. Years ago, when they were at their old location the owner, Kerry, came to assist me. I had always purchased coffee makers in search of the perfect cup. Kerry offered me a very simple machine with tips on making good coffee. It was great. I have purchased other ones since I needed them for other locations. Kerry has been great, in fact, all the staff is helpful and fun! They are generous and share their favorite items for cooking as well as hostess gift offerings. It is always a pleasure shopping here! Mamma mia, what a meravigliosa (incredibly wonderful) store! Visiting family in Dorset and I found this wonderful store with great staff. Great gifts from Vermont too! LOVE THIS PLACE!!! I always try to shop at an owner operated store and this place has all the qualities that I hope to find, genuine care and concern, an in depth knowledge of what they sell and more choices then you could possibly think you could find in a shop this size!!! This is a real cooks paradise and when I was there a chef from one of the top end restaurants was there buying for his place. It was busy when I visited but as soon as I had a question looking at the myriad choices of juicer vitamix selections someone was immediately at my side explaining the benefits of each etc. These folks obviously use the products. Can't say enough good things about this hard working shop. read more

If this store doesn't have it then they will get it or point you to where you can. The most knowledgeable and friendly staff I have ever encountered. If you like to cook even a little, this is the store for you. I get everything from a peeler to a juicer there, i'll never go anywhere else. read more

Vermont Kitchen Supply offers gifts and kitchen products of great quality and fair price. The experience of shopping there, especially with the knowledgable and friendly staff, highlights the delight of shopping face to face, not stare-ing at a computer screen. VKS recently opened a smaller satalite store in Brandon, Vermont, adjacent to the Cafe Provence cooking school. Nice to have them in our community. read more

Not just a great shop, with every last thing you'd want to have in your kitchen, but a good range of prices on many items. The staff are knowledgeable and great, and recently helped me find exactly the item I needed, then fitted it with a lid (one that saved me $$). Worth the trip! read more

Yes this store had a large selection of stuff and when i went it i thought it was amazing. But when i got home and decided to go on there website and actually order an item, they did not have it. But they did have a product request and i requested it twice waiting a week till the second time, they never got back to me.... even though they say they will in 24-48 hrs. I thought that was very unprofessional, disrespectful, and not proper for a buisness to do. My thoughts of the store decreased and i wanted to buy my girlfriend something which i told them and xmas is in one week now. I dont recomnd them for their service at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Bought a steak there today, cooked it for dinner and I gotta say it was THE best steak I've ever made for myself.

I needed it. They had it. What more could you want from the only kitchen supply store for miles around?

I've had the pleasure of shopping at VKS for more than three years, and my experiences have all been rewarding and helpful. I've had several small kitchen appliances break down in the last few years. How marvelous it has been to avoid the malls by consulting the knowledgeable, enthusiastic VKS staff. It's invaluable to know I can get all the advice and assistance I need in this one location, whether I need a kitchen gadget or a new microwave. The owners foster customer loyalty by offering discounts and sales; they always love to hear what we do with our purchases or what new recipes we've been working upon. I recommend this store to all my friends. read more

Great kitchen supply store. I can always get what I need here and always enjoy going. Sometimes I need to go for just some cheesecloth or a soap dish and another time bought my wonderful versatile le creuset Dutch oven. The customer service is the same, everyone including the owner has always been super friendly. Much better than buying things on Amazon--you can see what they actually look like, and find maybe better alternatives that you did not know about. The only suggestion I have is to please stock some sheet pans that are not coated with nonstick material! I just don't like the brand they sell, prefer a more basic variety. I had to go elsewhere to buy a loaf pan and wished I didn't have to, but it was the same brand as the sheet pans which are also far too heavy and overbuilt in my opinion. Also I really need some cambro 1 quart containers...bought mine here a few years ago but the last time I was in they were out of stock... read more

I'm sorry to say that I had an unfortunate experience here. I bought a French press for a present -- the best they have that costs $50.00. When I got home I noticed that the box was used, with black magic marker writing on it that said "NO GLASS" with the "NO" crossed out heavily. The top of the box was torn. In it was the French press, no plastic wrap and no directions. It felt used, and when I called, it appears that they routinely take glass from new French presses and put them in French presses that people have broken (and charge them, of course) and then order replacement glass for the presses they are selling as new. So in effect I got a French press that was no longer new from the manufacturer. The glass was replaced after they had given the original glass to someone else, so of course the press could no longer be in a new box, newly packed, with directions. I called and the owner hung up on me after refusing to give me a 20% discount which I requested. She said she would replace it if I drove the 50 miles it would take to get their store and back to my home. The woman was defensive and lacked understanding and took offense. This was an anniversary present -- it was an embarrassment. When you buy something new, it should be new, not in a used box with replacement parts. Anyone knows that. They claim to have great customer service -- not to me. read more
