He looked at me with shock when I told him when I needed the dress. He said prom dresses need a least a couple of weeks to be done and he had so many to do. I apologized for my ignorance and told its ok if he's wasn't able to take on the work but he told me it was ok and that he just wouldn't take on any other work. I couldn't believe how accommodating he was being. I was so appreciative that I didn't even ask how much it would cost. He even gave me a date 2 days before prom to pick it up. I have to admit that when I left I began to worry about the cost of this rush job but when I returned not only had he done an amazing job with the dress he only charged me $40 for the work!! This guy is the best and so affordable. I will definitely return. Best experience ever!!

The seamstress is highly experienced and was very thorough at pinning the changes as I requested. Her alteration work is excellent both on the front and inside of each garment. I am very impressed with her extensive level of experience working with all types of fabric (silk, jersey wool, wool, linen and cotton) and clothing for men and women. She and her husband are very professional, friendly and kind. Turnaround time is reasonable and price is more than fair. This is a hidden gem and I am so lucky to have found them. I highly recommend them to all who are looking for alterations and other sewing needs (she recently made pillowcases for me from a designer fabric that I had bought.)

The kind and patient man running the show also did up my zipper for me after I struggled for like 20 minutes. They asked me exactly what I wanted and made sure the service I requested was clear..The material of the fancy jumpsuit I needed hemmed was complex and painstaking and the price was still really reasonable. Extremely organized and clean space. Air conditioning. Only issue is it's not accessible for anyone with disabilities--it's up a narrow flight of stairs on the second floor. While k was struggling with me zipper I heard folks come in and out to pick up clothes who were clearly delighted repeat customers. I'm sure I will be too.

Just be aware it may take a little longer than other places because they are so busy (often with large order work for weddings). But they are affordable and really care. My wife's vintage coat had a fur collar that was damaged in the rain and falling apart. they took the time to source faux fur that really matched the original look. The coat is now like new. Bought a cheap dress off Amazon after coming into this shop too close to my wedding date to order…read morefrom here. The window displays were full of fancy gowns and the store has some floor stock which can be purchased off the rack. I really appreciated that Adriana was conservative in her order time approach rather than blowing sunshine to get me to order something that might not arrive in time. I took my chances with the Amazon dress which did arrive timely. It was also workable given how cheap it was and I was so happy when I returned here. Adriana gave me a fitting consult and advised she'd have it ready for me several days before my wedding date, down to the hour of 3:00 p.m. that pickup date. Sure enough, it was ready exactly when she said it would be. I tried it on with my shoes and everything was perfect - hem and upper body alterations. I asked for the leftover fabric pieces to maybe make some matching hair bows or something and they were waiting in my dress bag. With taxes the hem and alterations came out to about $90 which was actually more than I paid for the dress, and it is worth every penny. I asked if she provided pressing service but she doesn't provide that service. She advised me on the proper setting to use if I did it at home as opposed to taking it to a dry cleaner, so I did it at home and it turned out fine. She used to be located down on St. Clair for about 12 years and then moved up to Vaughan about a year or so ago, so while the store is new here, her experience is solid. She has a fantastic interactive website and answered my message immediately from there while my dress was in the shop. She's upbeat and professional, as well as good at her work. I will return anytime I need an alteration done for any occasion.
