Terrible customer service! We went in to purchase a mattress and box spring for our son. The man…read morewas super polite and nice, helped us pick what we're looking for. We bought the mattress and asked if we could pick up the next day. He said yes, just text him because he wasn't feeling very well and he would meet us at the store (normally he's opened on Saturdays but because he wasn't feeling well he decided to just be opened by appointment only). No problem, we made arrangements with a friend to borrow their truck so we could pick it up. I messaged him and asked if 11-1130 would be okay for pick up, he said yes, just to message him in the morning.
Well, I get a message from him an hour before we're supposed to be there saying that he's too sick to get out of bed and he won't be able to meet at the agreed upon time, but he will message us when he's ready. I message him back letting him know that we are borrowing a truck, we don't have access to it all day nor do we have time to wait around all day for when he's available as we are very busy as well. I told him I understood if he was too sick to come in, but I would like a refund so we can purchase it elsewhere because we only had access to a truck during that time. I let him know we wouldn't need any help loading, just needed him to unlock the store for like 5 mins so we could grab it. He replied 20 mins till 11 saying he would be there at 11. I told him at that point we were in nampa and it would be closer to 1130, he agreed to meet.
He shows up at 1130, speeding through the parking lot, almost hits a person standing in the spot. My husband and I are standing outside the truck waiting for him. He gets out of his car (which was parked right next to us), storms past us, and stomps into the store. We follow him, he continues to say nothing, angrily grabs our box spring and goes to storm out. My husband tells him that we can get it, to which he says no, but let's my husband know where our mattress is. My husband grabs it and goes outside. The guy tosses the boxspring in the truck and goes to leave. Trying to be polite I tried to tell him thank you and to have a great weekend. He respond "yeah, you too" doesn't make eye contact or anything, then gets in his car, slams the door and speeds out of the parking lot.
I also own a business, it sucks when you're sick and you're the only person that works there, I totally get it. But when you make a commitment to your customers, you need to follow through. Throwing a toddler style temper tantrum because you were asked to show up for 5 mins so we could pick up an item we purchased was not only unnecessary, but unprofessional. I will not be recommending anyone to this store due to the owners poor customer service skills and my family will not be purchasing from him again.Good prices, but the poor customer service from the owner makes me want to spend more and purchase elsewhere.
