I just had the most ridiculous experience trying to send a message to Verizon using their CHAT service. I literally spent 10 mins trying to get a LIVE service tech on the phone, but their CHAT BOT would do nothing but ask me to sign in. I am trying to cancel a dead family member's phone service, which was cancelled 8 months ago. Their chat bot service is horrible. Someone needs to FIX Verizon. Make phone service great again in America. This service belongs in some 3rd world country. read more

this store is a joke. went in for the most basic assistance and they couldn't have been less interested or less helpful. There were other people in the store experiencing problems. One gentleman was trying to pay his bill and was told that he couldn't do it there. Meanwhile, another man came in and paid his bill. I tell them that my brand new phone was not holding a charge and they called me a liar to my face. After my purchase I later learned that this store is an affiliate of Verizon known as Cellular Sales. There are Cellular Sales all over MA, but this review is applicable to the Waltham Store. There is a sister store in Newton. I suggest that you go through an actual Verizon Store (such as in a mall) to avoid the stress, headaches, and the poor service that I received. My issue is not with Verizon itself, but rather Cellular Sales. In Mid-December 2023, I was looking to purchase and Apple Watch for my Daughter's Christmas present. I was eventually sold a deal where I would get a Free ipad, free watch, and free phone for my both myself and my wife. I was told by the Salesman that I would also receive Free Netflix and Max for the life of the plan. After spending 2 1/2 hours in the store and spending over $762 everything was complete and I was told after 1 to 2 months all of the promotions would apply. After months of being overcharged (as I pay the bill directly out of my bank account), and over 13 hours on the phone with Verizon Customer Service, everything was fixed. It turns out they did not apply the promotion accurately and had I not been proactive, who knows how long I would have been overcharged. The lasting lingering issue on my end is that I was incorrectly sold what I was told was a Free Perk given the volume of my upgrades, which was Netflix and Max for the life of my plan by the Sales Rep who is no longer employed by the store because apparently, he misquoted other customers. My argument was that it should have been honored or I should have received a form of compensation as a result, because it would have influenced my decision about my purchase. To be brief, they told me too bad, they messed up and they can't honor what I was sold, which in my mind is illegal to sell someone something and then not honor it. Please consider going through an actual Verizon store and not an affiliated retailer. For me this is a life lesson and I hope that if you read this you will learn from my mistake. read more

After having poor experiences at my local Verizon store, I decided to give this store a try when my phone started acting up. I can honestly say this was the best experience I've ever had at a Verizon store thanks to the amazing customer service by Meek! He was so friendly and knowledgeable, went out of his way to explain things I didn't understand, never ever tried to up-sell me, and helped me to get a truly great deal on a new phone! I have legit been getting phone calls from their sales people since I purchased a phone from them over 5 years ago. I finally called them about a month ago and they said they would remove me from their mailing list. Well, I just got ANOTHER call. I have explained 3 times I do not live in MA anymore and there is no chance (especially now that they are harassing me with calls) of me buying a phone from them again. I just called the Waltham store again and got a man with a thick Indian accent who said to just block the calls. REALLY??? This is your solution?? It's a different number every time they call. Buyer beware. Really bad and misleading sales practices. Was not told about fees and then when you try and return get charged "restocking fees for unopened products". If I could give them a zero I would. This store is not a Verizon store but an Authorized Retailer - so they sell you everything they can. They make changes without it being clear, and hide charges. They would not make a return unless it was with the same agent who sold me (even with a receipt)- saying they're on vacation for 2 weeks- which is past the 14-day return window. I heard similar stories on my 3 (!) trips to the store to try and return things. I wished I'd read the other YELP review prior to setting foot in the store. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. My in laws visited the store today to get help setting up a replacement phone. They were charged $45 which I've been told is "standard" since the salesperson is working on commission. They were met by "Dee" who claims he is the store manager. He did nothing but try to up sell, even after being told my in laws do not pay the cel bill. When his selling tactics didnt work, he began to speak in a derogatory manner to my mother in law. At one point even saying he would just talk to my father in law. When I called to try to see what happened, Dee told me my mother in law was rude. He spoke over me, got aggressive and STILL tried to up sell me since I pay the bill. I'm disgusted and will NEVER return. Beware! read more

Similar to another post by Elaine F on 6/23/19. I went to the store to return a cable box. The salesperson ask if I had a one bill account and needed my cell number and pin. After reviewing my account, he said I could not return the cable box there and I should go to the Needham location. Shortly after leaving the store, I received a text about subscribing to device protection services. I called Verizon wireless and told them is was an unauthorized charge. They removed it immediately !! DO NOT USE THIS STORE - they are very deceptive and once they have your account information, illegally add charges to your account. read more

Not what it appears. Classic bad sales tactics. Avoid I shopped this store before Christmas and while my in store experience was OK, I have found numerous problems after transaction that have taken hours to correct. I didn't really like being referred to as "boss" or "haus" by the salesman (Frank), but it was the fact that he purposefully and willfully misled me on multiple issues that cost me extra $'s and led to hours of hold/phone time with an actual Verizon rep that justifies the one star rating. Here are the most glaring issues: 1) This is not a Verizon Wireless store. It is some other company. I went here because I thought it was a Verizon Corporate store. Because it is not a corporate store they reserve the right to charge a non-refundable set up fee of $40 per phone activated in the store. This is in addition to the $30 per phone Verizon charge. They don't tell you that. Even Verizon can' t reverse the charge and admitted that this is a problem with this store. 2) The representative put insurance on my phones despite my clear indication that I did not want insurance. I am sure he got a little extra commission for the sale and you don't see it until you get your first bill (if you catch it). 3a) The representative made multiple factual misstatements about the cost of products. Unlimited is $40 ( he clearly articulated that I would save an additional fee of $5 for signing up for auto pay), but unfortunately Unlimited is $45 and the $5 autopay discount take the price down to $40 (but only if you also sign up for ebill which he failed to mention). 3b) He stated clearly and repeatedly that my corporate discount would apply to the $40/$35 Unlimited plan. Spoiler- it doesn't. So basically everything with the transaction was wrong or intercommunicated. Costs for a 24 month plan are significantly higher than stated and clear errors were made in setting up my account. I will not be going back. Use this store at your own risk. read more

I went to Waltham Verizon to ask if they were a Fios store because I needed a new cable box. Marlen Lamas "helped me" and said it depends if I had a one bill account he could help. Needed my number and pin. He said he couldn't help me with FIOS so I left. I get home and get a text thanking me for subscribing to new services. He charged me for mobile protection and call filtering for an addl $13 per month without my authorization. I called customer service and they took it off but what else did he do? What horrible unhandled way to do business. I will be calling Corporate on Monday. Do not go to this location. Big scammers. read more

Christian is an amazingly knowledgeable and helpful salesperson. We came in to buy 2 new iPhone 12s and to pair my new Apple Watch with my new iPhone. He made sure we were able to get the best deals available. He handled any glitches that came up with Verizon flawlessly. Then he transferred the data from our iCloud backup of our old phones to our new phones. This took hours yet we never felt like we were a burden. Christian was the only salesperson in the store because of a staffing issue but he helped the flood of customers like each person was royalty and with great patience. We come in the next day to finish up the process and continued our positive experience with Christian. I had to come in one more time to correct an issue with pairing my Apple Watch to my new iPhone since it was already paired to my old iPhone. Christian hung on the line with Verizon customer service for 45 minutes while he continued to assist other customers as he waited for my Apple Watch to be properly paired to my new iPhone. Now everything works perfectly. I will be forever grateful to Christian! Thank you! read more

Just to be clear I would give this store a zero rating if possible. Honestly appalling, shockingly and horrible customer service. Ed Cheever the customer representative reeked of stale coffee, and that was only the beginning. Cheever was pushy, rude and honestly the worst customer representative I've ever dealt with. I am young, I have set up many iPhones and yet Cheever decided to treat me as if I was a 90 year who was incapable of even turning on their phone. After trying to push me into buying overpriced and useless phones cases and protectors, I explained to him I had insurance and wanted to get the case on my own accord. He then rudely said, "you have to pay a deductible" on the insurance (which I obviously know about and would be less expensive than his cases and protectors). After realizing he was not going to make a commission off me his rudeness intensified and would continuously walk away and begin helping other customers. He insisted on trying to update my phone in the store (a 30 min process.) I didn't want to wait around in a Verizon store and asked to set it up later. He rudely said to me "does your car have WiFi?" What am I supposed to respond to that? No, my car doesn't have WiFi that not the point my house 5 min away does and it will finish there. He then proceeded to aggressively rip the phone out of the charger and hand it over dismissing me with an "okay buddy." All because I didn't want to manipulated, disrespected and talked down to. Never go here, go to the Apple store. These people are outdated and horrible. There were about 10 other customers in the store equally as frustrated and pissed off with the quality of service. It was so shocking and bad, my girlfriend and Ikept looking around waiting for the cameras to come out saying it was all a prank. Went in to the Waltham store approximately a month ago to purchase a new iPhone11 the salesman treated me very fairly and was pretty good to deal with. unfortunately they had set up a six digit code when setting up the new phone that I was unaware of. so just this week my iPhone11 battery had became dead and when I charged my phone and powered up it had asked me for a six digit pin and after many attempts of trying to unlock my phone it was totally disabled so I decided to go back to The store. when I walked in the door I was abruptly greeted by a angry manager. I explained to him my problem and he asked if I had a computer I said no I don't have a computer with me. I said I need help he said sorry I can't help you. when I bought the phone for $800 they didn't say sorry we can't help you then. I just feel the manager the manager did not wanna waste his time with me. I should've known after reading the negative reviews. Next time I am trying the Verizon store on Lexington Street as they have much higher reviews I also have a few coworkers that have use them on Lexington Street with no complaints read more

TLDR: Mike M., employee at this store and acting agent of Verizon Wireless, lied to my wife and I during our 02/10/2018 store visit regarding available promotions, contractual terms, and signed us up for services we did not agree to. Verizon Wireless [corporate] (VWC) has mitigated some of the harm done, but ultimately we will not know what recourse or reprimand befalls this employee. It should be noted that this review is a review of this store and the employee Mike, not VWC as a whole. I attempted to call the store during its normal business hours to discuss these issues and received no answer or available answering machine. I called both the phone number listed on Google (781-701-8198) and on VWC' store locator (617-916-5528). 1) Promotions: My wife and I let Mike know that we were shopping competitors. We had already researched various plans, and were mainly in to get information regarding the taxes and fees that are listed as being part of a bill but seemingly never disclosed on bill estimates when cross shopping plans. During our conversation we mentioned to Mike that we were happy Verizon Fios (VW) customers. He told us that we would be able to receive $10 a month off each of our VWC bills and our VF bills, thereby lowering our overall Verizon related bills by $20 per month. We asked Mike to verify that we would be eligible for such an offer as we only have 150 Mbps internet only service. He verified that we qualified and all we would need to do is contact both and tell them to link the accounts. Upon receiving the first bill on 02/20/2018 I called VWC to correct an item (more on this later) and to see about the $10 per month discount. I was then told that we would not qualify unless we had double or triple play service on the home account. I was offered $10 a month off my VWC bill for 6 months if Verizon Home could not help me, the service representative said she would stay on the line while we called the ISP. I was then forwarded to Frontier (not my ISP) to see if there was anything they could do for me, the person from the first call no longer on the line. Frontier, not my ISP, could do nothing. I was forwarded back to VWC, still got nowhere, back to VF (my ISP), and finally told that in order to qualify I would need both double or triple play and gigabit internet service. On a subsequent call (02/25/2018) with VWC our customer service representative, Venosha, gave us a onetime $60 credit to our account thereby honoring the $10 per month for the first 6 months discount discussed on 02/20/2018. 2) Total Mobile Protection: My wife and I asked for quotes about the phone protection plan during our store visit on 02/10/2018. Mike quoted us at $8 per phone. We declined protection. The first bill arrived and we were charged $13 per phone. Mike had both lied about the price and signed us up for a service that we did not agree to. During my first phone call with VWC on 02/20/2018 I was told this service was removed and would be refunded. The customer service representative only removed a prorated $8.36 per phone. On call on 02/25/2018 with VWC our customer service representative, Venosha, provided a credit for $9.28 on our upcoming bill thereby fully refunding the $13 per phone that was added without our permission. 3) Regarding Activation Fees: The salesperson, Mike, made no mention of activation fees. These were therefore a surprise on the bill. Activation fees were neither discussed nor mentioned. It is a $30 activation fee per phone. On our call on 02/25/2018 Venosha let us know that this fee is rightfully charged but should have been disclosed and employees at stores should know this. 4) Further Notes: Venosha offered at our insistence, to send an email to this store's general manager regarding our interaction with its employee Mike. Mike, also works at what I believe is the Newton, MA location on Needham St. (It has the same phone number on Google for this location as does VWC' store locator for the Waltham Tower Rd. location.) read more

I purchased a new SIM from Matt at this store, and he told me to contact the store if I had additional issues. I did have issues with choppy calls again, but Matt was not at the store when I called. The person who answered the phone refused to help any with this issue since I did not purchase the phone from Verizon. Additionally, he hung up when I asked his name.
