This store is filled up by unhelpful staff. They sure do take up a lot of space and they are not helpful. I felt like I was employed by the staff there I did not get answers to my questions and I was told to come up with solutions. I came to the corporate location for help and I was talked to like I was stupid and like I worked there and had done something wrong. No help. Honestly this was awful , never in my life have I been treated like I was a body taking up space . I went there due to my SIM card giving me an error and the manager Dwaine or Dwight asked my name why I was there told him the issue and stated I tired everything to see if I could get it myself . He hadn't even held my phone or pulled up my account. Saw the smallest crack next to my camera and said it was water damage from the humidity outside. Bo sure how you can diagnose an issue based off of that. Had that crack for MONTHS no issues. I do have an account and I am on a family plan and let him know once he had asked and he said I couldn't get helped due to the account holder not being there with me . Wasn't getting a new phone , or a new service just wanted someone to tell me what the issue was with my phone. He said I could not get help and I needed to contact my family and it made me feel so frustrated and so upset and ended up coming back and was very nicely helped by Hannah who treated me so much better and actually looked at my phone and was able to verify my account and everything and was so sweet! ended up NOT BEING water damage and it was my phone transitioning to an ESIM. Yall need more people like Hannah. That manager needs to be reviewed i get we have bad days but that was so disrespectful and disappointing. read more

I had a terrible onboarding experience with Verizon. I only called to set up Dominion Energy for my new apartment, but was pressured into signing up for Verizon Fios internet by a representative who made it sound like it was required for residents. She spoke quickly, and I felt cornered into saying yes. Now it's been over a week, and I still haven't received my equipment. The app is absolutely useless for tracking--it has no clear navigation or updates, and I'm left in the dark wondering where my package is. If I don't receive my equipment soon, I will be opting out completely. This has been an exhausting and disappointing experience. Verizon needs to make the setup process clearer and improve this app drastically. read more

I will be contacting Verizon Corporate and the Fraudulent department after my experience at this store yesterday. The young man with long-ish dark hair was quick to help us with upgrading my phone, but he explained absolutely nothing about that needing to re-add Apple One and having to pay an extra $10 a month that was previously included. I was also not informed I would immediately lose service to my old phone, leaving us with a difficult time to get home. However - the major problems started when I got home and began setting up my new phone. None of my messages were coming through, and when I went to my device settings, the phone was listed under a random person neither me or my husband recognized, then disappeared about 15 minutes later. I have also been trying to activate my Apple One since yesterday - to which the app says it should take about 15 minutes. 24 hours later and countless attempts with customer service, the activation link STILL says my phone number is not synced with a subscription. The worst, and possibly most concerning, part - after logging into our Verizon app, there is now a new line activation plan with a number and phone neither my husband nor I added to our cart. When I go to look at our previous purchases, it keeps just saying "this will be updated soon", so I have no idea if something was added to our account or not. This is majorly concerning as the worker was quick to rush us in an out of the store and now I'm concerned that something's happened with my number/line with another person having the ability to access my information. I will be going in tomorrow to demand they cancel my upgrade, do not charge me the $50 opened box" fee, and ensure all other access has been removed from our account. Stay VERY far away from this store and go through the Verizon app to upgrade instead. Absolutely unacceptable and I have every intention to escalate this as high as possible. read more

This is the rudest establishment ive ever been in. I went to make a payment for my daughter a few months back bc she didnt have time. I walked in and stood there for 27 mins without either employee ever even lifting their head. I ended up walking out to leave and decided I had already wasted 30 mins I may as well wait and get it done so I didnt have to come back. I go back in wait 10 more mins with 0 acknowledgement until I was irritated enough to finally say "Im not sure what the issue is but you could at least say hello someone will be with you once we have finished instead of completely ignoring someone" then I finally hear it'll be a min. I let it go bc its not worth an argument and thought maybe it was a bad day but since my experience ive had 2 other people tell me they had the exact same thing happen to them. Then my husband went to pay my daughters bill this evening and the first thing out of his mouth when he got home was those people are fing rude! He had the same deal except it was 2 girls that continued to speak to him rudely. So I guess it's their whole team that treat people with 0 respect. How has corporate not taken care of this? If ive had 3 people other than myself have the same experience with different employees I know many others have been treated the same way. I have never felt as strongly as fios' dang wifi-- and I used to love our fios internet to the point of where I would recommend it to everyone. HOWEVER. My husband and I recently moved and were told that our old router was "no longer compatible" by the installation tech (which was false per research after the fact because it is still infact usable to this day). Not only did the installation guy upsell us to a shittier router that functions off of 5G cell network-- the gigabit plan which is terrible because it can get bogged down with any network crowding in the area and is also their lowest speed plan (major downgrade from our previous plan by the way) but he also upsold us to a new router that we clearly didn't need and a wifi extender, which we also didn't need for our RESIDENTIAL house (recommended for commercial buildings)!!!! Of course, we were in the middle of moving -- quite literally still had the movers putting boxes in our new house; so he absolutely took advantage of us. Our old plan and old router worked like a champ with no issues, only needing a quick reset like maybe once a year. Now, however, since we have had the new network plan and router with nothing but lagging issues, device incompatibility (yeah. Thanks consumer America for not allowing old devices to connect to 5Ghz) requiring jailbreaks or buying new products, and a friggin price increase by almost $35x month. In this economy!?!? Absolutely absurd! I would not trust a single THING any of their service tech people tell you. Do your research online with your current router if you plan to move or if you want to buy an after market router for much cheaper before hand. 0/10 we will be switching providers ASAP. read more

I cannot leave a 5 very stale star review up. Over the years this is my go to Verizon, it still is. But it's on the just above average in the last few experiences. My biggest issue is wait times. My last visit was almost an hour long. Others have been 30+. I get it COVID staffing, but I'm the customer and my time is precious so fix it. The do offer same day scheduling ahead. So there are ways to save time. Once I'm with a service representative they are professional and resolve my issue. It's been technical problems over the past year with older phones. So I do think a 3.5 fit them best. I'm rounding down as my experiences have not reached a 4 star level. I will be evaluating if our family sticks with Verizon or not. After waiting 20 minutes I finally asked the gentleman who was just standing around if he could assist me. Yikes, What a Miserable Store (3996 Virginia Beach Blvd)! Ordered a phone for delivery to this store (not realizing just how painful that would be). The email notifying me the phone was ready for pick up was sent to me on the afternoon of 29 December...and stated the phone had to picked up on 28 December or it would be shipped back(?). Hmmm. So I called the store and asked, "is the phone there?" They said yes. That evening, sometime after 10 PM, I received an email stating my order was cancelled. I called customer service the next morning, explained what was happening; the rep told me to go to the store and pick up the phone (which was still there). Went to store when they opened at 10AM; waited an hour as a walk in to be told I would have to reorder a phone because my order was cancelled. No offer to order me a phone or give me a different one, btw. And, pretty clearly, the rep wanted me out of that store, and hopefully as soon as possible. Quite possibly the worst customer service of the season (so, mission accomplished, I guess), and that is saying something at Christmas time, where every store in America is understaffed and awash with customers. Went home, called Verizon and re-ordered, set up delivery to my home. It'll take some time, but much less painful. Still, a truly unpleasant in-store experience. read more

I have been working on this since April, spoke with 20 representatives all promosing to correct but none have been successful nor followed up to see if it was. I absolutely love the service that was provided at this store. I wasn't expecting to come out with a brand new phone. I thought we would have to wait till Monday to call to see what the hold up was on my application. Luckily I was approved online and was able to pull up that application and got it done. I am unsure if the guys name but he was a short white guy with a beard. He's amazing fast quick service and got me in and out as quickly as possible when it came to the sale side. He even charged my watch and added my watch to my account which I was unaware you could do that! I am glad I ported over and switched to Verizon also got a new phone. The new phones really make a difference when it comes to coverage. He did such an amazing job I convinced my girlfriend to switch to Verizon from T-mobile as well. However she doesn't like going to the store so we were able to order hers online. I had problems with mine because my home address is different from licenses since I'm Active duty. Speaking of that he even put an international plan on my account which is perfect because I am deploying in 8 months overseas. read more

Switched because of the deal that was offered by Isaac the Salesman. Trade in, pay off old phones, and $200 Switcher Rebate per line, for 4 Lines. I got everything except for the switcher rebates. It was $800 worth and a key component of my decision to switch to Verizon. Mind you I was happy with AT&T and only switched because of the deal. After about 11 weeks I follow up with Isaac to inquire about my rebates, and crickets. Then I go into the store and they tell me the promo was either/or not both. The Store Manager Raegan, parroted the same thing and was not interested in making it right. Just referred me to corporate. Corporate speaks with the store who claims they told me it was not combinable. Raegan told me this 11 weeks after the initial sale. Because the store wouldn't admit fault, corporate only gave me $300. Had the store been honest and admitted to the claim, corporate would have paid my $800. The District Manager "Donnele Augustus", has yet to even respond to my phone calls or text messages. I don't know how you have a job sir. Apparently the sales staff can make any claims they want, deny it to corporate and the customer will be left ripped off. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE!! I will not rest until I get the rest of my money. I went to return 2 Apple Watches I did not order. The service was terrible. My Uber driver was waiting for me in the car the people were taking their precious time to even get to me. I spoke up asked if anyone was going to help me they took their time they got nasty with me I said what I needed they blew me off again I told them I need help ASAP I don't have all day I just wanted to have them take the watches send them back that I was in a hurry for a medical appointment. They said well can you come back later or another day? I said no I am blind don't drive and rely on public transportation. Went in today to fix my account after it was setup incorrectly and phone support said I had to visit a store to fix it. They were extremely unprofessional and didn't want to even try to fix the problem. I said I have to fix this or cancel because I couldn't even pay my bill. They simply walked away and ignored the problem. I was on the phone with customer support and sitting in the store. I just got Verizon and the service works but I will be cancelling and going back to Cox because you can't even service your own accounts while being halfway polite and professional. Worst customer service ever of almost any company in any business. I am not reporting on this location, but on Verizon as a company, for TV and Internet. I ordered TV, Internet, and Direct TV, from Verizon the first of June, 2016. The work order said it would be installed on June 13, by 4 PM. (VA11241156576). No one called or showed up. I call 1-800-Verizon, and spoke for over an hour. They first said that I was not home when the technician came by. They then said after about 10 minutes, that I had cancelled the appointment. After about another 20 minutes, a supervisor said that the 3rd party referral company had never sent the verification to Verizon, and a work order had never been issued. They sent me back and did another 3rd party verification, and gave me another work order. (VA11241453383). She said the first one was incorrect, but they would be at my home today, June 22, between 8 and 4pm. Guess who did not show up, or call, or send email. (VERIZON) Now for the good part. Direct TV was here on the 13th, and installed the dish on my house, but did not install the inside gear, due to the fact that if they changed my COX to Direct TV, I would lose my internet till Verizon decided to come see me. They came back this morning and finished the job, but I had to pay an extra $100.00 to have a wireless system installed, so that my internet would still work, if Verizon did not show up, which they did not. I spent an hour on the phone with a lady in the Philippines, on 1-800-VERIZON, trying to find out if they were coming today for my install, but was told that they could not give me that information. So far I have lost two days of work waiting on someone to show up, and spent over $100.00 to get a wireless Direct TV .system installed. And still no call, or message from Verizon other than the ones I received on the two days they were supposed to be here, telling me that they would be here that day. read more

The new location of this Verizon Wireless store offers a more comfortable atmosphere. The old location across the road seemed so cramped and dark. This new store is open and bright with lots of windows. The staff is always helpful and very knowledgable. There is a large variety of phones and accessories to choose from. Horrible experience. Traded phones in December for credit towards new phones we purchased. Rep calls me 6 months later to tell me they didn't process the credit. And I need to come back to the store to pick up the phones to clean them and return back for my credit. Pick the phones up to find they removed the SIM card from one of the phones so I couldn't clear the phone out!! Now I have to go back up to the store to get the SIM card so I can go back home to clear the phone to just go back again to get my credit!!! They will tell you to just call to file a claim, but you have to fill out an affidavit, upload with a picture ID, wait, then they'll approve repair at one of THEIR repair facilities and make you pay AHEAD before you even make an appointment! Our purpose of visiting the store today was to open a new account and transfer my line from my Mother's account to my own as well as to add my fiancé, a former Ntelos customer, to the account. We had many questions about this detailed process. The Solutions Manager attended to us right away and answered every question we could possibly think of. He was extremely friendly and courteous. We then met with Milciades Cedano who assisted us in transferring my line to the new account and setting up the porting of the Ntelos account to Verizon. Along the way, he answered our many questions and was extremely polite and patient with us. My fiancé and I were both very excited to get new phones and of course had lots of questions about features and accessories. Milciades worked patiently with us for almost three hours to satisfy all of our needs. The Solutions Manager went out his way to help us get exactly what we were looking for today and helped us save money on our new service. We are extremely pleased about this. We left the store today feeling excited about our new devices and services and were more than satisfied with level of customer service we received. Kudos to both Milciades and the Solutions Manager for their work ethic and customer service skills. We have never experienced such a high level of service anywhere else.
