Vero Beach Verizon store on 20th St. (Route 60) doesn't deserve the 2 stars it has on yelp. I went in got checked in by Mary who told me about a white glove service immediately after she found out I was just there to transfer data over to a new device and I wanted to keep my same plan. After asking the cost and agreeing to it, she placed me in the queue, and I waited and waited and then got approached by another rep who was helping a previous customer with the same issue and asked me my purpose as he waived me off to get helped by another "specialist". That was after I overheard him making fun of an elderly lady he just finished with, who just lost her husband and couldn't afford the extra services of Verizon. He exclaimed as he laughed, " She has to think about it? pffff, what's to think about?" The third representative approached and said he couldn't help me, that I had to wait for Mary, who already took 2 other people queued behind me. If only I were that high ticket customer that would boost their bottom-line commission, I might have gotten helped. Instead, I got up said my peace and walked out. I will never step foot in that store again. Get your shite together store manager. Please save your B.S. reply about how every customer deserves to be treated equally. I was in Vero Beach due to a family emergency and my old cell phone decided that this was a good time to give up the ghost and quit on me completely. It was an extremely stressful trip, made significantly worse given my communication limitations, so I needed a new phone and I needed it very quickly. I came to this store because it was local to where I was staying, and because it is an actual Verizon Corporate store - not a Verizon affiliate, where I had previously had a terrible experience. I was greeted immediately as I entered the store and the representative listened to my needs and made appropriate recommendations (I needed to be able to walk out of the store with a new working cell phone asap). Everyone went above and beyond to assist me in selecting a phone, and even setting up my new phone so that I was "up and running" seamlessly with no service interruption. Matthew and the other members of the team even made sure that my cell phone case and screen protector were fitted before I left and that I had all of the accessories I needed (car phone charter etc.) that were compatible with my new phone to keep me up and running during my trip. Frankly, I'm not sure how the service could have been better. Believe me when I tell you, I was very burned by my last experience purchasing a cell phone and was anticipating a similar experience at this store but it could not have been more different. There was no pressure to change my plan, no pressure to upgrade anything, no pressure to buy anything that I didn't need or want. I knew exactly what I was purchasing, how much it would cost me, and what the options were. Thank you all so much! read more

Always always a wait here with multiple people standing around not assisting customers. Why have two people assigned to only accessories when there is no one on the accessory line? If there is always a 20-30 minute wait to speak to someone why doesn't Verizon staff their stores appropriately? One person assisting customers and five other people not assisting customers. Ridiculous... and we want to buy phones... poor customer service. Walked out after 30 minutes of not being helped and bought three new iPhones elsewhere - expensive loss for Verizon. read more

I am 1400 miles from home and in a nightmare situation. I dropped my phone which shattered the screen and made it useless, for some reason my mobile wifi orbic stopped working also, u have no way to access the internet except from my hotel 15 miles away but I have no idea how to get back there without maps, I dont have any way to call anyone. I found this site from hotel and it said it was open and closed in an hour at 8 pm. I got there at 7:10 and the door was locked with a bunch of people in the store being waited on, an employee came to the door and pointed to a sign on door that said they closed at 7 unlike what the web site said, I showed him my broken devices and tried to explain I was 1400 miles from home and had no way to figure out even how to get back to hotel, I was hoping he could take 5 minutes but he just shrugged his shoulders and walked away. I am not sure what I can do I have no idea where I am and no way to talk to anybody. Verizon just lost a long term customer that pays $300 a month. Extremely bad experience at this store; first guy was rude to me, second guy actually accused me of lying! The first guy confirmed I was NOT lying; no apology from second guy. He ACTUALLY said to me "It's my word against yours." WHA??? That is some serious customer service right there! OMG. I went to the other Verizon store over on Hwy 1, and the guys there were SO much better... very nice and professional and hooked me up with my new mobile hotspot right away. Go there. I had a bad battery issue while I was travelling, and visited this store with trepidation, but had a good experience. I had to wait a while for a tech, but that's only because it's so busy here - the sign-in system was working, and I was approached by an employee while I was waiting, to ensure that I was being taken care of. When I was seen by a tech, he was obviously knowledgeable about the phones - we chatted quite a bit about the many Droid Bionic delays, etc - and was able to get me a new battery very quickly. read more

My boyfriend and I came into Verizon because he wanted to buy a new phone. When we walked in, none of the employees bothered to greet us or even acknowledge us. We walked to the back desk in hopes of being helped and the employee was helping a woman. We were next in line so we figured it wouldn't take too long. We were still completely ignored, so we decided to sit on the bench next to the desk to wait. The lady and the employee were literally chatting about how she rear ended someone in her Mercedes and continued to talk causally, none of it even relevant to verizon. After sitting there for 15 minutes listening to them casually chat, we decided to go back to the other section of the store where finally someone asked if they could check us in.. Finally, Leo helped us and he was very nice and informative. The two employees sitting at the desk chatting with the lady were very unprofessional and I've never been so neglected. read more

Please do not use Verizon. If you do get everything in writing. Do not take their word for anything. My husband tried to return an item in January 2015. He was told when he picked up the device there would be no restocking fee or activation fee if service was unavailable in our area. We were charged a restocking fee, then told we would receive a credit which never posted. We get a call tonight 3/10/15 that the returned device is still active and that there is a balance. We called the store twice and they didn't have time to help us. We called Verizon customer service twice and after an hour on the phone they determine that the Vero Beach Store has to turn the device off and they can not. They gave me the number for Channel Support so if the store doesn't turn the device off I call and do it. Wow terrible, terrible service!!!!! read more
