Still Looking for my high end audio consultant and store and here it is! I've been in commercial…read moreaudio for for 30 years, mixer for live bands and club and mobile DJ. I've got over 15,000 watts of amps and all the speakers to rip the roof off my house. But now it's time for my man cave. Selling amps and going with a High End Home System. I've been in many stores and been so upset by the smoke and mirrors sales people use to sell you what they say you "need" This place is VERY DIFFERENT, NO SMOKE AND MIRRORS. Just Honest advice by people who know their stuff. It's quality here, not quantity. They can order what you want. They are there to sell you what YOU want and to help make the right choice. They aren't trying to sell you something you don't need. They are only open on Sat, but they take the time to explain what ever you want to know. The sound is amazing. expensive but all their quality audio brands have been around for years and years. Not the "new kid on the block that you never heard of brand, that's made someplace you've never heard of. It's a five hour drive for me, but it's worth it for the GREAT SALES AND SERVICE. BUT this is like a Rolls Royce dealership. you are not going to get a radio shack record player here. You'll get a high end turntable that will make your records sound like cds! Like i said i have a lot of music background and the salesman i spoke to knows his stuff and understands, ohms, watts, impedance and often misunderstood relationship between loudness and powerful, full sound that's not "loud" If you are serious in Hi End audio and have the money, make an appointment. Call and give them an idea of what you're looking for before you get there. Whether it's a 2 Channel BOOM Bass system for music only. or a home theater surround sound they can do it......wouldn't be surprised if they can outfit your house with an 11.2 atmos system! just bring the $$$$$.

A Most Transcendent Evening at Cochon…read more There are meals... and then there are moments of gastronomic revelation. My husband Tony and I found ourselves perched at the bar of the illustrious Cochon in New Orleans, a temple of Southern culinary indulgence that greets its guests not merely with hospitality, but with a full-bodied embrace of Louisiana charm. From the very moment we settled in, the staff enveloped us in attentiveness so effortless and warm it felt less like service and more like an invitation into a cherished family kitchen. But let us begin where all proper feasts should: with oysters. The evening opened with a magnificent appetizer--plump oysters luxuriating in a chilled butter so decadent it bordered on sinful. Accompanied by freshly baked buns, warm and pillowy, they existed solely as vessels to sop up that buttery glory. Each bite was a gentle overture, a teasing prelude that merely whetted the appetite for the orchestral crescendo of flavors yet to come. And then... the oyster sandwich arrived. Reader, I do not employ hyperbole lightly when I say this sandwich changed my life. The oysters were fried to a perfection so delicate that the exterior whispered with crispness while the interior remained tender and briny. The flavors did not simply sit upon the tongue; they reached to the very edges of my palate, cascading across it with vivid, electric intensity. Each bite felt like a celebration of the Gulf itself--salty, rich, and unapologetically indulgent. Meanwhile, the cocktails--crafted with the kind of thoughtful precision that suggests genuine affection for the art of drink--arrived with impeccable recommendations from the staff, whose guidance proved unfailingly inspired. It is rare to encounter a restaurant where every element harmonizes: the food, the service, the atmosphere, the rhythm of the evening. Yet Cochon accomplishes this with such grace that one suspects it has been doing so for generations. If the culinary heavens operated with proper administrative oversight, this establishment would not merely receive a Michelin star--it would be awarded five, along with a standing ovation and perhaps a small brass plaque commemorating the oyster sandwich that irrevocably altered the trajectory of my existence. To dine at Cochon is not simply to eat. It is to revel. And revel we most certainly did

I love to grab a seat at the chef's counter whenever it is possible and I was so glad they had that…read moreoption here! It's so fun to watch the food come out and chat with the team if they're not too busy. Everything on the menu looks great but I decided to go with the daily specials. The arugula salad was exactly what I needed after a long flight and it was very fresh. Absolutely zero wilted leaves on my plate. Not sure what the dressing was but it balanced with the natural bitterness arugula has and I loved the pecans on top. Do not sleep on the pan seared drum if it's offered as a special! It was absolutely delicious and the vegetables were well dressed. The chocolate crème caramel was also an excellent dessert! It looks like a flan but was more like a thick mousse.

I had a good experience at cochon - The experience was great! The food was just ok though…read more We stopped in on a Saturday evening. It was pretty hard to get reservations, so plan ahead. We could only get an 8:00 reservation. They were running a bit behind, so we stopped at the bar and had a drink. Their drinks were good! I tried the sour ale, it had a nice unique flavor and fit the vibe of the restaurant. We tried several things from the dinner menu. For apps - we got the fried meat pie and the shrimp and andouille sausage gumbo. The fried meat pie was really delicious! It had nice flavor and the pasty was flaky as well. The gumbo was good, but didn't really blow me away. For entrees I tried the wood smoked gulf fish . It was good, but was a little bit dry unflavorful. I was hoping for a more blackened / seasoned fish, and this was more focused on the flavor of the fish (which is fine, if it wasn't a bit dry). I also tried to cochon, which was pretty delicious. Again it was a little less seasoned than I expected, but the texture and taste of the pork was delicious and made up for it. We got the chocolate parfait for desert & didn't really like the chickory whipped cream (although the mouse was good) But to our surprise the waitress refunded the desert, so it worked out well. Overall, I thought the experience and service was good, but the food was a little lacking
