The option i was told was to issue me a gift card for that double charge but would have to spend that in the store. It was later mentioned to me when pusuing it the option to refund the double charge in cash. I took the cash refund and deposited that back to my bank account. Why could they not deposit it back to my bank account which i was told by them they could not. i am retired on limited income and needed that money put back into my bank acct i did not want store credit. I ended up getting a cash refund but not happy nor satisfied how it was handled.

I have purchased many high and small end tools, compressors, jacks, air jacks, trailer equipment, you name it. At the end of last July I purchased an expensive generator, The super quiet Predator 5000 dual fuel. Normal price was right at 1100 got it for 900 with a coupon. I thought I had got the top of the line for what they offered and very proud. My family and I went camping in August for a few nights, again in mid November. In the middle of the night the generator just quit. We googled every thing we could, oil level safety sensor, Co2 sensor shut off. Nothing could make it stay running. I wanted to use it only LPG but even put gas in it to make sure it wasn't a fuel issue. On both, it would start, run for 20-30 seconds and shut down. I called the 800 number on the stickers you see on all of their equipment, to never get to answer. I left messages every time. I finally called the store only to have the manage say "sorry" he couldn't help as I didn't purchase the extended warranty. My bad. I had only 29 hrs on this unit and it was dead in the water. I finally was able to get what sounded like mature person on the 800 number to be informed that they on have one person that answers these calls and are too busy to return messages. Just have to be lucky to catch someone. Pretty much told the same from the store. What they did say was that there was a generator place in Heber that could help me. Making (2) two hr round trips and $245 later, a working generator. Apparently a Co2 issue and super common with these units. Woodchuck saw however, great service! , Ever talk about a recall on them. There is also a Facebook page just dedicated to the issues with these units. Wow! My advice is to spend the extra $ and buy a name brand generator. It would be in thing if it was just the problems with these units but the lack of service and selling their product with the big sticker "Call 800...." For help to me, paints a somewhat shady practice. Because of this I will go back to Amazon and at least these stand behind their products.

I went into the store and the signs are a bit misleading bc it shows one price as a sale price but then you are required to buy at least three items in most cases to get that price. I see there is a class action suite about just this so it would seem you might want to clarify better. It is the only department store in town so I do check here often. The store is clean and I was greeted immediately upon entering. This store doesn't have a big inventory. They still have some nice clothes but kitchenware is almost bare, bedding is ok but they didn't have tablecloths. I wish this store would have more inventory so I could shop here more often. I would definitely support them. They also could use more staff. I tried something on and never saw any staff near the fitting room. Sadly, I had to give them a (generous) 3.

When I wanted to buy another guitar, I wanted to use a local store, instead of online like Musicians Friend or a Phoenix store where we spend some time. I bought a Breedlove guitar and case on 4/3/25. After 3 months I noticed a crack under the bottom of the neck at the sound-hole. (I keep my instruments in a well humidified room) I brought a photo on my phone of the crack to the owner. He took a quick look and pointed at the guy next to me. "This is the guy to help you." It was a guy I heard trying to get repair business from him. I don't even think the owner knew him.The owner just blew me off. I was o pissed but if I had broken bad it would have been ugly. I emailed Breedlove directly. Turns out they have a 3 month warranty that I was not informed of and I had missed the deadline, but when the luthier examined the condition of the guitar, they decided to honor the warranty. When I sent the receipt along with the guitar On 8/19/25. Below is Breedloves comments. "Your guitar arrived at the facility and was looked over by the luthier. He verified the cracks you pointed out and sent it into us for, but he also noticed some other things too. He said the guitar is extremely dry and because of this the top is warping and collapsing into the body of the guitar. This causes the bridge to fall down too and in turn the saddle. So, to get a decent setup, the saddle needs to be raised really high, and currently it is a touch more than he normally let it go. The setup is still sort of low too, so if needs to be raised anymore, you wont have any room to do so.   Honestly, this guitar needs to be replaced. You said you had purchased and had it about 3 months, but we are not sure this could have dried out that fast. We think some of this, or all of it, was already done prior to you purchasing the guitar." Other musician friends thought it was probably was a used and and was repaired. So much for 'keeping my business on the mountain'. Breedlove on the other hand is an amazing company. They didn't have to honor the warranty on a guitar I had missed the warranty on and the defects were not due to any defect from the manufacturer.

Went to Majestic to see if I could buy a replacement mic. Waited and waited for at least half an hour while the only person behind the counter was helping another customer buy an expensive-looking guitar. The customer even felt a bit sheepish for having me wait and told the guy to help me while she picks out some sheet music, but he kept ignoring me until her purchase was done. I ended up buying an expensive mic I could not use because it was not returnable (due to COVID rules according to the staff). I should have just walked away in the first place.

Big Lots is not the junk store anymore. It has nice snacks, organization item (and not just garbage plastic either) health and beauty, decor and furniture. I bought some snack foods like unsweetened coconut chips and dried mulberry and goji berries. They were good and I've been back since and got more. I also found some garden fairies to add to my garden. I didn't think I would find them up here but they have many kinds of fairies and settings. I am very happy we stopped in. They have much nicer things than I expected. I will definitely be back and recommend Big Lots!
