We are in from Fort Lauderdale, FL with a new Verizon phone that did not transfer correctly. So we visited Verizon Panama City Beach and Jake not only helped me with the transfer but also helped out my sister and her Apple lap top issues- a real professional with a heart of gold! Buying a new iPhone should not make a person want to weep. Verizon is like an obnoxious person in the seat next to you in economy class on a long flight. Once there all you can do is endure. So what distinguishes Verizon from the rest? Most cellular service networks now have great coverage and when cellular service works they are great. So all the technical stuff is a given. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS WHAT MAKES VERIZON STAND OUT. Everyone I talked to over two weeks, for about 40 hours, online, on voice, and in person were very nice. They assured me they would take care of my problem. They repeatedly went on and on about my value to Verizon. They lied. Near the end of my encounter with this monument to indifferent incompetence a Verizon employee told me that many of the operators routinely promise actions just to get you to end the conversation. I was told that there had been no follow up on my previous calls. That was the only truth I heard through this nightmare. When the problem Verizon created was finally corrected I asked the supervisor for a recompense for all my trouble. This "supervisor" acted annoyed, complete with hemming and hawing, then said she would give me a $50 credit. I received a $20 credit. Drop the mic. Try anyone else. It will not be worse. I would not even give a 1 star. Terrible customer service. Takes all day to trade in a phone. Spent my daughter's last day of vacation in this store. Her phone died and an easy deal took all day. Lazy unresponsive lady. No explanation as to why it was taking so Long. We have been here twice today, this visit has been 90 minutes so far. Just to trade in a broken phone and purchase a new one. A bunch on no customer service people. Lazy. It was a fight for them to get up and see who would help me. I want to buy my phone, I don't want a bill on my monthly charges. He said it locks you in for 3 years but saves you money on your phone overall. I said I don't want a bill on my phone I'll just pay it and you can lock me in my contract. He said you can't do it that way. I said I'll go to the Apple Store. His response "go ahead and go if you simply want to spend more money" and laughed In a sarcastic voice. News flash, paying for my phone which I upgrade almost yearly isn't a waste of money and I'm spending money each month with Verizon on service Jack @ss. Thinking about making a change. This place is a SCAM. Not a real Verizon store. They will try to up charge you to get a higher commission. If you order a phone you will have to work around the employees schedule. Received a call saying my phone was delivered and In, drove a half an hour to pick up new $1,200 phone only to be told I couldn't have it because the woman who placed the order for me was not in today. Total ripoff! Make sure you fully understand what you want before you come here! One of the sales reps did me so wrong, and another one turned a blind eye! Called the corporate office to confirm what they did was legit and they told me to go back to the location and tell them to undo the contract. I should have trusted my gut.
