Avoid the Verizon Pahrump store like the plague, I got scammed! The store salesman (Chris) lied to me from the time I walked in until the time I left! He told me whatever I wanted to hear to get my money, then I was screwed. First, he lied to me about getting a free phone when I subscribed, then he lied to me about getting a senior discount, and then the biggest lie of all was that we would pay $146.03 a month for the two phones we got there. A month later, I got a bill for $355! I also noticed that I was getting charged for what was supposed to be a free phone, and I was getting charged for my trade-in that was supposed to be an even match. They also said they were going to pay off my old phone. I haven't seen that money yet, but based on the dishonesty I experienced so far, I won't hold my breath! When I went back to the store to confront them about the lies I was told about the free phone and other benefits. The manager told me that the particular phone I got wasn't free, and Chris was a new employee and didn't know any better. In fact, that was the excuse for every lie I confronted him with. When I asked where the senior discount was on my bill, the manager said I seldom see anyone get a senior discount, and Chris was a new employee and didn't know any better, so I got screwed there also! I tried calling Verizon corporate, but I was transferred to the Philippines, and they were almost useless! I did find out that this store was not owned by Verizon, but they are authorized to sell their phones and screw any Pahrump citizen who walks through the door as badly as they want to, and Verizon won't do anything about it! Also, the cell signal sucks; I never get more than 3 bars at most, and mostly get one and have to use my WIFI for it to function correctly! They tell you you have 30 days to return your phone, but it takes longer than that to figure out how badly you got ripped off! read more

A very poor experience all around. First we weren't told that it would be a problem to transfer my husband's existing Verizon phone number to the new phone or that it would cost $100.00 Second, why we are paying almost $300 a month is beyond me, but I would have kept my prepaid at $45 a month. Same service, data and no real difference in the phone. Very poor and unprofessional customer service, the guy took 4 and a half hours to set up my husband's phone, added an extra phone to the plan, had to figure out how to remove it by calling support. Just very unhappy with the service we got, the prices we paid and the lack of training there. Their favorite saying is " we aren't a corporate store " if someone has an issue. when my phone has no internet access and customer service tells me to get help online at website it's like a smack in the face that makes me want to smack whoever decided on that response. I cant get the internet how the fuck do I go to the website for help ? your a fucking piece of work . bout done with Verizon and top notch prices for bottom of the barrel support services . Still don't have much of 5g coverage in Pahrump. The 4g isn't all that great, either. The only thing that makes their service is if you have access to wifi, then you get way better speeds. Kind of sad since if you're in Vagas 5g, it is everywhere. read more

Pretty crappy store. I had an appointment for service. I waited for half an hour without being acknowledged other than being told to have a seat even by the manager, who walked past me several times. Finally a sales rep comes out, shows me a phone and quotes a much higher price than I was quoted by Verizon on the phone. He says he'd talk to customer care and get back to me with a resolution but never did as of this review. The overall indifference the staff showed me as a customer was appalling. Left the story happy with all our devices working. Josh answered all our questions and signed us up for the exact plans we needed. Cannot recommend him enough. I was promised $480 credit to my business account when i upgraded to the Samsung 22Ultra. I never saw it, it's been 4 months. The sales associate Tyler that did the transaction told me twice hes working on it now he's no longer works there, The GM Joshua promises to look in to it and get back to me on 3 separate occasions and i receive no updates. Wasted time going to the store 5 differenttime, wait to be seen just to be told they're looking into it and they will update me. Went to add a line to my existing account. I typically do the online thing, but we needed a phone now. We met two salesmen who were AMAZING! I have already done a lot of homework before arriving, because I've been with Verizon for 20+ years just wanted to make sure I knew my stuff. They knew more which was awesome. They hooked us up with a temporary phone while our new one was going to be shipped. It was overall a great experience. I am from California and my mom lives in Nevada. I drove out to help her get a new phone because her old one was acting up. I went in to the store and had a trade in for a new phone. I talked to the store manager because the person I was talking to was new and wanted to make sure the deal was in place because the phone was not in stock and they had to order it. So I leave to go back to California because I had to work and come to find out the deal that we had agreed upon was invalid because they said it was for new customers only. My question is why didn't they say that when I ask to make sure the deal was in place. My mother was embarrassed by the situation and so she paid out of pocket for the phone. When I heard about this situation I drove back out to Nevada, a approximately 350 mile trip one way to fix the situation. Instead of owning up to their mistake the manager blamed the new kid and said he never talked to me. I was there I told you we talked, were you trying to make yourself look better in front of your employees? That to me is not customer service. Ultimately you as the store manager are responsible for everything that happens in that store. All that and calling me a liar in front of your employees, nice way to do business. So I promptly returned the phone and all the upgrades they said my mother had to buy (new case and screen protector totaling over 100$) and opened an account with Tmobile. Way better service with the 5G coverage and they treat you how you expect to be treated as a customer, with respect and dignity. How you treat people shows a lot about your character Mr. Verizon store manager. If I could give negative stars I would, worst customer service I have experienced in over 20 years wow. My advice to anyone reading this is to switch to a different carrier as soon as possible it's now worth the headache! read more

I try to shop local even if it costs a few dollars more. The manager waited on me. A phone upgrade was going to cost me $270 out the door, plus the 24 payments. I was also offered a free iPad that also would of had 24 payments. Still trying to figure out where the free came in. I came home, went online and ordered the same exact phone I was trying to upgrade to and only had to pay less then $80 out of pocket to have it shipped to my house. Website and phone message both say open at 9am on Sunday. Got there about 940 doors all locked up no sign on the door saying what time they open I left back there about 1010 someone else was waiting outside I spoke with him he says I don't have any idea I know they've changed their hours open at 10 every day he says I don't know what time they open on Sunday and as I said it was after 10 they still have not unlocked the doors now it's 1015 still not open I'm getting ready to leave there's no sign on the door stating their hours it's the Sunday before Christmas eve and no one's around have no idea what's going on at the store seems to be only Verizon serviced store in Pahrump but after waiting 45 minutes last June to be helped only to be told they don't have the IPhone 7 in black now who knows when they will open. I got no help at all. My 91 year old mom needed a new basic phone. I wanted to add her to basic service to my service plan with no contract as she is after all 91. Was told she could be added to my service plan but phone would have to go on monthly contract and not bought outright. This store also didn't have a basic flip phone nor were they interested in ordering one. The Verizon store in Vegas sold us a phone for mom and said a contract wasn't necessary as it could be bought straight up. Mom now has a new phone and I have no contract. My husband also got a new phone in Vegas while we were there. The next day we had a question regarding my husband's phone. Went to the Pahrump store only to be told since it wasn't bought at their store they would charge us 20.00 service charge. But this didn't guarantee they would be able to handle the question. I have been a Verizon customer for a very long time. Verizon provides a good and fairly stable cellular network experience. Most Verizon stores have a small wait period to get customer service. The Verizon store in Pahrump Nevada was a good store to visit. Customer service has gone downhill to the point where you will be lucky to get any help in the first one hour from the time you walk through the door. The customer service Representatives will immediately greet you when you walk in and they will tell you someone will be with you in just a moment. I have visited this store more than six times in the last one month and waited in the over 1 hour without anyone coming to my assistance. I also had a bad experience with their insurance plan which is backed by Asurion. Customers should be very leery of signing up for insurance through this company. Asurion will try very hard not to fulfill its obligations under the insurance agreement. Even going through Verizon and asherian customer service agents comma everyone is set to tell you no and leave you stranded. read more

Our experience included a salesgirl with no information to guide us in what was available with Verizon, a manager who was not completely forthcoming about fees, a bad SIM card, a network that could not move a number, technicians that could not resolve issues, staff with no authority to accept return items, a network that could not accept returned items... for a whole week! DO NOT AND I REPEAT DO NOT go to the Verizon wireless store out here. My boyfriend went there on a Friday morning wanting to get a SPECIFIC phone, he already had his mind set. First off one of the employees approached him and asked what he was looking for and my boyfriend told him. The sales rep continues to question why he wanted that phone and tried selling him a different phone, and later we found out it was because they didn't have that phone in stock and would have to order it. So finally they tell my boyfriend that they can order the phone HE ORIGINALLY WANTED IN THE FIRST PLACE in which he's done tons of research on already, and told him it would be there Monday. Well come Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday... IT'S NOT THERE!! Finally by Thursday they have it. He goes in, they up sell him on some fancy plan with extra gigs, whatever. Pays his $200 for the bill and leaves. Now over a week later, they call and say they "forgot" to get a copy of his ID. So I go down there and give them his ID then BAM! Icing on the cake they hit us with ANOTHER $200 bill because he "forgot" to charge him another fee for a down payment. You seriously have to be kidding me. Not everyone has $200 to pull out of their pocket out of nowhere. We were prepared to buy the phone at whatever cost the day we went there for the initial purchase, not over a week later. If anyone has a Verizon phone or is considering changing, go to Vegas to a Verizon, don't go to the one out here. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!! read more

Even though this is the only Verizon store in town, I would advise you to avoid them. I went to,the store to get an IPhone 5 activated. All we needed was a SIM card. It took 30 minutes for us to get waited on. We wanted to replace the iPhone 4 my wife had with an iPhone 5 our son had given her. The rep did not know what he was doing and wasn't really interested in helping us since we weren't making a purchase. After several minutes of conversation, I decided it would be best to backup the iPhone 4 at home since he said he couldnt help us do that. We paid a $20 service fee and went home. After serveral attempts online and an hour on the phone, the rep on the phone determined the store had sold us the wrong SIM card. He had one overnighted to us and it took 10 minutes to get it installed. I went back to the Pahrump store to return the SIM card for a refund. The store refused to refund the money. The clerk and the manager claimed it was a service fee and they could not refund service fees. I pointed out that I had not received the correct "service". They final word was they would not refund my money and I should leave their store. I will not return to this store. If you feel you must see and handle the product, go there for a demonstration and then order it by phone or online. Footnote: This happened in early November. On November 15, we drove to Summerlin and purchased a new iPad and added service. Service in the corporate store was 5 star. That's how strongly I feel about this. read more
