Steven is the man! It's been about two weeks since I visited and was never happier. He found several deals to lower my monthly payments I never could've found on my own, reducing my monthly bill by a whopping $40 a month. Two new iPhone 16s with a new contract and he did all the work and transfers there in the store in about 2 hours. Didn't even try to sell us anything we didn't need, just straight up service. I have been a Verizon customer for over 20 years. Many contracts, different phones, activations, etc. During my last visit, I activated two new lines, adding them to my account, for two relatives who just arrived in the US from Eastern Europe, a mother and a daughter. In store, we had these to lines activated, paid, what I thought, was the sales tax on the phones, and left. To my TOTAL surprise, they charged a $45 per device for "setup fee". Thjis is on top of the activation. The device setup is made of... wait, turning the device on and activating it, possibly, asking you if you want to set up a pin and a fingerprint sensor? These fees were NEVER brought up in the conversation with Jeik (the associate who helped us with activation). The entire "setup" (after activating devices through Verizon) took no more than 10-15 mins for two devices. I sent an email to Jeik, asking to reverse the $90. No response. This is NOT the way to treat a customer. This is NOT the way to make money, by hiding the fact that you are going to charge for a bogus service. This is a predatory tactics, especially since nowhere in the store it says "you are now crossing from a Verizon zone into the rip-me-off zone". HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED. A new factory authorized store just opened up officially franchised by Cellular Sales. It's very large and has a stock that can handle demand. I transferred 8 lines from another vendor back to Verizon Wireless. George and Manny are amazing - customer service, attentiveness and very professional. The staff is dressed in business attire commanding a sense of authority - they know what they are doing. This is my new go-to spot for my wireless needs. I had so many issues over the course of three days trying to change services from T-Mobile to Verizon. Matt, Nicole, and Derrick from the mineral spring branch in north Providence RI were the absolute BEST representatives ever. They walked me through every step, through hours and days of complications that weren't their fault, and finally got me across the finish line to being a full Verizon customer. This has to be the worst "Verizon store" I've ever been to. One of the worst customer experiences I've had too. I purchased 2 iPads online to pick up in the store (Mind you these are $470 each) and they claimed it to be "Brand New", yet the box was damaged to begin with, there was a chip on the top right corner of one of the iPads and a light stain on the bottom left corner. I emailed several sales representatives about my issue - neither of them responded. Then I called the store after working a 10 hour shift, because that's exactly what I want to be doing. The lady was so rude and short with me and didn't even let me finish my sentences, she obviously knew exactly what was going on and they decided to ignore me about it and gives me major attitude telling me I need to drive an hour down to the store just to "assess the damage" basically saying they don't believe me because they sold me a piece of crap product. Not to mention, I had to get the sales representatives attention to begin with who completely ignored me when I walked in when I originally put in a curb side request and was sitting outside for 5 minutes and no one came out at all. I feel bad for anyone else that has to deal with this terrible store. I know for a fact they will never see me stepping on their property again. Andy was the worst sales representative I've ever spoken to and he was dancing the whole time I was trying to get some help. The absolutely worst experience of my life. I thought I could get around the horrible service here by purchasing a phone online and paying for the phone in full and just picking up in store. Wrong! They said they needed to fix some processing error on their end and could not give me my phone. They said they don't understand why but there is a "glitch" in the system and they can't process it. They were on there phones looking up instructions for how to process my order. I've been to other stores and they are much more efficient. The manager said I was irritated because I had to wait while they were busy which was not true (store is a ghost town and I'm pretty sure I saw a tumbleweed go by). I was more than happy to wait while they assisted other customers. I was getting testy because I saw two sales associates who were not trained and it was the first time they were trying to process an order and they were reading instructions on their phones. Then they said it was a problem because I didn't know my pin to pay my bill online which I do not pay my bill online. I was very tactful and I finally just walked out because after being there for over 90 minutes, I still didn't not have my phone. I work in sales and I understand what it is like to deal with irrational and difficult people. I understand what it is like to be busy. I also understand what it's like to have a new service being offered by your business. I expect that any reputable business properly trains their employees prior to launching that new service. Employees shouldn't be learning about a new process with their first customer. Poor poor management. I was extremely disappointed in the store manager at this location. I left an unhappy customer and still without a phone. read more

I have been trying to receive the appropriate credits from this store since October 2018.. I am appalled how a business with Verizon's name on it has gotten away from stealing from customers. I was charged administration fees, they didn't apply the appropriate promotions. I continue to be overcharged every month. I have been to store on more than 10 occasions with no resolution. My husband and I were thinking about switching our Verizon cell phone carrier to other cell phone company. The reason was because we wanted to add another line to our cell phone account. We found one carrier that we thought it's a good deal. But, before we proceed to the new carrier, my husband thought to stop by at the nearby Verizon Retailer on Mineral Spring in North Providence, RI. He thought we should check first if we could get a better deal by adding a line. As soon as we walked into the store, we were greeted warmly by Isaac Le. Immediately we felt so welcome and very comfortable with him. Isaac explained to us efficiently about the current cell phone promotion. Of course, the promotion was very attractive, but we thought it's still pricey. We wanted to downsize our cell phone bill. So we decided to check with the other carrier. Isaac was so professional and understanding, the qualities we liked. We went ahead to the other carrier. Yes, the bill was much lower for three lines and my husband's friend that uses the carrier is happy with it. We love the lower bill, but not happy with the poor customer service and we didn't like the cell phone model they have. Without wasting our time, we went back to Isaac Le the same day. We immediately decided to add another cell phone line. Isaac Le is very patience and sincere. He really listened to us, attentive, and has great knowledge of the product that is the Android we purchased that day. Because of his great explanation about the wireless charger, we also bought two wireless chargers for our home and vehicle. We were so pleased with his clear communication skill. Isaac was also very helpful. He went above and beyond. There were things about the new Android we didn't understand. Isaac took his time to explained to us until we understood the product. We decided to keep Verizon because of the great customer service. Thank you Isaac Le for making our choice simple and easy. We are very happy with our new Android and the wireless chargers. My husband and I are extremely happy with Isaac Le's excellent customer service, and we highly recommend him to anyone! read more

Do not buy a phone here unless you want to pay $45 extra. They charge a $45 device setup fee that no other "Corporate Store" charges. They don't explain this fee until you ask. Once I caught it on my contract they explained it as a "Above and beyond service" that other stores don't offer. Thanks for turning on my phone and plugging it into my old phone, totally worth $45....Last piece of advice, avoid working with Galen Campbell; unless terrible sales pitches are your thing. I came in with knowing what phone I wanted and a good idea of which plan I wanted to upgrade too. This process took an hour and half. Between him trying to upsell, pitching things that I didn't ask for or needed, or me having to ask a million questions to get the proper info on the different plan options. When all said and done, Galen did not upgrade my plan nor enroll me in auto pay like I had asked. So much for "Above and Beyond" service. The worst part is when I called the store the so called manager "Ed" didn't not hear me out but instead passed me off to Galen. Galen did not take accountability, instead gave me excuses "I thought I had done that for you, I apologize if I didn't". Dude this was 3 days ago you can't remember? TLDR: Bogus $45 Device setup fee, terrible service start to finish, god awful salesman, Verizon Customer Service resolved my issues with the fee. read more

BELOW IS A LETTER OF COMPLAINT I WROTE TO THE STORE. THEY NEVER CALLED ME TO FOLLOW UP. DON'T BUY ANYTHING HERE - THEY ARE LIARS. Dear Manager of Cellular Sales, My family and I visited your store on Sunday, February 10th, 2019. The purpose of the visit was to add my mother and myself, their son, to my father's existing Verizon account and obtain a new phone for my mother. Overall, we were very unhappy with the service provided by T. We found him to be offensively pushy, undependable and uninformed to the point where we suspected we was lying to secure a sale. First, we found him to be offensively pushy because he unnecessarily pushed me to get a new phone even though I repeatedly told him I was not interested. As mentioned, only my mother wanted to replace her phone, and she eventually chose an LG phone during out visit. Despite firmly expressing my satisfaction with my current phone, T relentlessly tried to sell me a new phone causing our visit to be longer than necessary and his pursuit made us feel uncomfortable. I understand he wants to make a commission, but I am sure you agree that it should not be at the expense of the efficiency and quality of service. Second, he didn't properly set up my mother's phone. When I took my parents home, the software on the phone was old and it needed many upgrades before her previous number could officially get ported over to Verizon. It took almost 2 hours to finish this because of our lack of experience. I believe T was responsible for doing this because our receipt contains a line item "Device Setup" for $45, although waived. Also, Verizon customer service mentioned that this is something the store sales person should have done. I feel like we should personally be paid the $45 because we spent nearly 2 hours working with Verizon on the phone setup, not T. Finally, the facts he provided were untrue and we believe he was lying just to make a sale. The first instance was, when pushing a new phone on me, he told me that I could return my partially-paid off phone from AT&T so not to have to make anymore payments and therefore I should get a new phone. I questioned this theory and he answered, "Well, I've heard they do sometimes and sometimes they don't." I feel this response is indicative of someone who is lying and only trying to sell a phone. In fact, I followed up with AT&T and they said this is not their policy. The second instance was when he led me to believe that I could change my carrier from AT&T to Verizon despite me still owing phone payments to AT&T. T said I can only switch if my phone was unlocked and the checked my phone to confirm that it was unlocked. Later, with help from an employer at a corporate Verizon store, I discovered that I could not port my number from a partially-paid off phone and that my phone it is, indeed, locked. Also, after this porting attempt, I would now have to wait several days without phone service before I could port the number back to AT&T. I could not afford to do this because of my responsibilities and therefore I had to get a new phone number with AT&T. This problem took nearly 3 hours to resolve resulting in me losing my phone number. I blame this entire fiasco on T's seemingly intentional lying. In conclusion, we found T's service to be unforgettably terrible thus causing us to doubt whether my mother and father should remain customers with Verizon. However, we returned to the store on February 21st to exchange my mother's phone and were helped by K, who provided exemplary service and restored our faith in Verizon. He did not push my mother to buy a phone that she did not want, he continually tried to make us feel comfortable when deciding and quickly consulted a co-worker when he did not have the answer to our question. Despite K's service, we still will no longer visit your store as we are apprehensive about ever being helped by T again. I don't enjoy complaining, but I feel that the manager should be made aware when a representative's behavior negatively affects a company's well-being. read more
