    Every time I come here. There's only one person working and 19999 customers...meanwhile the store is the size of Hugh Hefner's house. 2+1=6?

Before I started coming to this store location (inside the Jacksonville, NC mall), I dreaded seeing any local AT&T customer service reps in person. The wait was always TERRIBLE, and the other local stores refused to set an appt over the phone; they told my husband and I we can only make an appt through the app and it didn't always work so we would have to wait LONGER to see a rep because we would have to physically make an appt in store. As a result, I began to call AT&T customer service reps rather than go in person (and their call center customer service can be dreadful, too). It's not a good sign when your customers avoid having to deal with your company if possible, and that's the road we were slowly going down with AT&T... My husband and I were going to merge phone plans to save money, so we reluctantly went to the local store closest to our home to discuss pricing and do it in-store. We were so frustrated we walked out within 3 minutes. Desperate, we then went to the Jacksonville, NC mall location and have never had a better experience! The staff was SO helpful and friendly. Not only did we receive the help we needed, we ended up getting a DIRECTV package and preordering 2 iPhone X's as well. One staff member in particular, the manager Curtis Swenson, made us feel like we are more than just money in AT&T's pocket. I have never experienced such excellent customer service from any cell phone/cable provider rep that I have ever been with previously (we have been with Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile). Since then, if my husband and I have had any questions or problems, Curtis has not only remained patient and polite amidst our frustrations and complaints, but also fixed them in a timely manner and empathized with us over things that weren't even his fault (AT&T dropped the ball when iPhone X preorders came through and promised many customers that the phone would be here long before it actually arrived). The other store staff are amazing, too. We highly recommend Curtis Swenson and all of the other AT&T staff members inside the Jacksonville, NC mall. And as to the negative reviews before this one, I can vouch from our MULTIPLE interactions with these staff members that if you have a concern and bring it to them, they will do whatever they can to fix it. Fees that are tacked onto your bill aren't always within the employee's control, and any modifications made to lower your bill don't update on the website for a little while. Just talk to them about it!

    I have had a headache with this store for weeks. Yessica didn't fully understand what she was…read moredoing. She gave me and my sister prices that were lower than what they really were because she didn't explain all the extra fees attached to the upgrade and we both ended up paying more than we originally thought. I live in GA and my family lives here, and my sister was getting an upgrade, it was a good offer, and the offer was extended to me with the promise of it being okay that I was not in town for a few weeks. I was told my new phone would be good to be picked up from my sister and it would be good to go when I got into town, but my phone stopped working for hours when my sister picked them up. They ended up having to fix it at the store, and then the didn't give me a return box for the phone so I had to go into the store to get the box. I also started getting messages saying I would owe money if I didn't turn my device in because they didn't put the extension in the system. Anyways, I get into the store yesterday and ask for a screen protector and the guy put it on not centered and a few hours later it cracked in my pocket. I go back today and they said I dropped it so they couldn't do anything and told me to go through the manufacturer and made little to no effort to help me with that. All in all I would advise anyone with questions to go to a different store for the best service and avoid all the unnecessary stress we have had with this store.

Horrible customer service, employees/managers that do not know how to process and finalize a return, and when you are still being seven months later for a faulty product you returned the same day as purchased, there is "nothing" they can do about it. This happened in NOVEMBER 2024 and we are still dealing with this issue. Joseph W. Is the employee that sold a faulty router, my husband went home, set it up, realized it didn't work, and returned it the same day. Joseph reassured him he returned it on his end and he would not be billed. My husband has gone into the store several times to get this figured out, with no solution. They will turn you away to call corporate, which as we all know, is a wild goose chase. This business is not competent to help you with issues they created because they are a fake business posing as Verizon. THANKFULLY, we went to a different Verizon store that actually knew how to help out--Verizon on Western Blvd. If you need actual Verizon business or service, go to the corporate version store, which is on Western Blvd.
