While inquiring about a quote for a trade-in of a paid off device and starting a new line, I was subsequently removed from my current carrier without warning. Upon entry to this location, I was greeted by a salesman. He reassured me that there would be no termination of my current service unless, I signed consent forms and completed a purchase with the company. Which I did not. Once I agreed to a potential monthly price quote, I asked about an "out-of-the-door" cost/fee. The young man then disappeared into the back "stock room/office" while on the phone with multiple service providers and didn't come back for some time. When he did return, he quoted an outrageous price that didn't even sound semi-close to the promotion I was originally inquiring about. I proceeded to tell him I wasn't interested. He did call a financing company who approved a funding/financing of $500 towards a device. He returned to the back which is when I assumed he was grabbing new devices from the "safe" like he said. Nope, he came back and said the funding didn't go through so that initial "out-of-the-door" cost was nearly $2,000 now. I was flabbergasted and demanded we end the quoting process and asked if I was free to leave. He asked me to "hang on" and assured me he'd be right back. I then checked my phone and it was in SOS mode. He magically reappeared from the back and stated that he knew my phone was in SOS but that he was also able to convince his manager to force the finance through and asked if I wanted to pay the initial high price. I demanded to stop being "sold" a product and just asked to leave for now the second time. His response was "well the system "glitched" and now your phone number is active through Verizon and I have to cancel that." I was furious internally at this point and had been there for two hours. He called my phone carrier's 1(800) number and they basically told me I'd be responsible for reinstating my service. He washed his hands of me and provided inaccurate account numbers to shut me up and send me out of the door as quickly as possible. While reassuring me that he cleared everything on Verizon's end. I actually had to make a second trip to the location two days later to obtain the proper account numbers. This is when the general manager basically excused the young man's deceitfulness and labeled the issue as something he "hadn't ever seen" happen in all thirteen years that he worked with the company. This general manager asked the young man to go grab the correct numbers which were conveniently produced. I left the store confident that the issue was completely resolved. Until I received a monthly bill for a service I never agreed to, never signed for, and didn't want. Beware! You've been warned. read more

Customers already complain about hidden costs, misleading promotions, and contract penalties -- but I've experienced these issues firsthand. I originally went to a Verizon store just to have my phone serviced. I made it very clear to the salesman that I wasn't looking for another phone, since I was happy paying about $80 per month. Despite that, he pushed a so-called "great deal" on a trade-in. He assured me my bill would only increase by $10 and that I'd only have a one-time fee of $100-$200. On top of that, he upsold me on an anti-glare and liquid glass overlay product, which left my screen permanently cloudy no matter how I clean it. The real shock came when I received my bill: instead of a simple one-time payment, I discovered in small print that I now owed $924. This was never explained to me in the store. What was sold as a minor upgrade turned into a major financial burden. This is not the first time Verizon has bait-and-switched me, but it will be the last. I feel swindled, misled, and deeply disappointed. I will never trust Verizon again, and this will be my last phone with them. Bottom line: Verizon's sales tactics may look like "great deals" on the surface, but in reality, they leave loyal customers paying far more than expected. If you value honesty and transparency, think twice before signing anything with Verizon. read more

My 89-year old father went into this store recently as we've had Verizon as our carrier since the late-1990s. My father's flip phone was broken (it wouldn't charge) and two of the male Verizon minions were super disrespectful to him. I was not there but he explained the situation to me. Had I been there I would have checked their attitudes real quick. The lady manager was sitting a table over with another customer and heard everything but didn't interject. And so now roughly 15-20 phones (family as well as employees) will be switching to another carrier as we don't deal well with disrespect, especially from young, rude ones. Bye, Verizon! Horrible service. Bought a Pixel 7 Pro from them, the phone went bad on it's own, they confirmed there was no physical damage, yet they refuse to replace it. I asked them to call corporate for an exception, he refused. The manager just stood there and said nothing. They options they gave me was to pay $850 for a new phone (remember, I didn't break mine) or use an upgrade for someone else on my plan, basically paying $850 again, just broken up over time. Now I CAN'T WORK for a number of DAYS because legally businesses have to have Multi Factor Authentication, which requires a phone. My account IS my business account. So they're providing a service to my business, that I can't operate because I don't have the device they sold me that broke on it's own. If I broke the phone, I would understand. But this is bad equipment and should be replaced without question. This store just cost me TENS of THOUSANDS of dollars. I'll NEVER go back here. read more

Verizon announced a new prepaid unlimited plan which gives customers unlimited talk, text, and data for $80 per month without requiring a contract or credit check. Great deal huh? However, there is one huge and misleading con to the new plan... It does NOT include mobile hot spot or tethering. Their website's service plan flow leads you to believe that the mobile hot spot option is included by placing a link next to "Let's get started", "I have Verizon". Once you login to your account you see the option to change your plan to the $80 per month unlimited. There is NO mention of mobile hot spot not being included. When I signed up for this plan, everything worked extremely well. 3 days later, my mobile hot spot was deactivated. This is false advertisement and I see numerous law suits in the works. Went to this Verizon location with my parents for my father to buy a new phone. It was busy, being right after Christmas, but all the employees were rather cheerful. The service was fast and friendly with the sales associate making sure my father got everything he needed. As he had a model already picked out the sales associate did not have to explain anything, but she didn't try to change his mind either which I appreciated. The entire visit didn't take more then 15 minutes. read more

Went to this store to buy a new phone, and I was helped by Jake. This location is not the largest or fanciest I've seen, but it's always clean and tidy and I've never had a problem with the staff. They did not have the phone I wanted in stock, but he got it delivered to my house. The experience was pleasant and efficient. After a week, I decided that phone really wasn't meeting my needs, and I returned to this store to return it. Again, I was helped by Jake. There were some issues that needed to be resolved, and we ended up needing to ship the phone out to complete the return, and Jake took care of this for me. After the process, Jake kept me updated and was extremely helpful, communicative, and pleasant. So, 5 stars for the store (no complaints) and 5+ for the staff, specifically Jake. Upgraded to iPhone 6 here - lost over a thousand of pictures from my old phone in the process. At least that's I was told by several employees at this location. I was told "this happens" (!!!???? what about the CLOUD?!), nothing could be done, and if I didn't want this to happen again I should "not get an iphone." Turns out my pics WERE in the cloud and the very nice folks at Apple customer service helped me get them back in no time. read more

Never thought I'd write a Yelp review... Never thought customer service would be this inadequate and unhelpful in a Verizon store either. I love Verizon, I've never had an issue... Especially when it comes to insurance. I was in Erie for a work trip and my phone got stepped on. I went into the store since my phone is fully covered and there have been times in the past where I went through the process of getting a new phone with my insurance at the store. Within LITERALLY SIXTY SECONDS, the girl at the front asked for MY phone number... not the PRIMARY phone number on the bill, which belongs to my mother. Tells me instantly that she can't do anything and gives me a packet for Asurion. I call Asurion today and they tell me my phone is not insured with them since I paid the lump sum when I bought my phone... Which the girl would have known if she had asked some more questions. I'm sure the store runs smoothly otherwise, I just found that to be extremely unhelpful. I had to drive back to Canton with no phone... Wasn't able to contact my family the entire time I was out of town and that could have all been solved if someone could have seen what could have been done for me. Thank you for nothing! read more

If at all possible do not go to verizon. They are over priced,if you have to call them it will take ten min to get to a real person if they can even help you, and they have no commonsense. I had called dec. 23 at 9:20 am made payment plan asked if phone would stay active was told yes. Then at 1:50 pm phone was shut off !!! I called back was told sorry we'll turn right back on. Ok thought was taken care of. NOO they charged me for reactivating. I go papperless for the 3% off so I didn't realize till today and wondered why my bill was 300 some dollars for 1 month. I call and after being on the phone with multiple people for over an hr. Was told they can not bring up the phone call because it's after 30 days umm really?? At first might seem reasonable ,but when you think how you don't get yor bill till the month has past how does that make sense. So anyway besides that they say they will not honor the payment plan that was made,and I'm still being charged for the reactivation charges. read more
