This Verizon would not get a star i've been in this Verizon before and gotten extremely good service but today for some odd reason, they must have idiots working because they couldn't help me on a very simple. I am sure tech issue and tried to send me to Best Buy now if you can't service your own service because I am a Verizon wireless, client have been for 12+ years then why are you even working there? After trying to get answers on the customer service number for over an hour about my bill I went into the store. When I told them I had questions about my bill I was told " o that's the customer service # you need to call". I explained that after an hour I didn't get the answers i needed because the person didn't speak English. Kim, the gal at Verizon, rolled her eyes at me and said I would have to wait then. I waited, she came over to answer my questions however she was very rude and made me feel stupid for even asking. Then when I asked her name she walked away from me- I had to get that from someone else. Don't recommend this location. read more

Just Wow! I am so angry!! I worked all day with a great tech Jaquan!! He was awesome. we got the holiday deals Free phone, free tablet, free watch, free buds. Got it all done, paid $211 sales tax up front. Got the receipt. My street address was wrong. He kindly sends me to customer care and they cancel the order!! I cant pay that kind of money twice to do it again. Nothing they would do to fix it. Not only that, a good rep is ripped off his commission. Fast forward, the deal is still on?? What? They told me it was 1 day only. I tried to buy it all again with the refund I received from the canceled order. No. They said no. Only one free item with the new phone. What?? How does "all on us" translate to "only one thing watch OR tablet on us....and pay for ear buds up front". What the hell?? Now I had registered the tablet line asfirst so that became the acct holder/owner. I can't even get in to manage my new acct!! I am so pissed!! read more

The worst experience in my life. Went into the store and just tried to move my service from TMobile to Verizon and get a prepaid or new plan. I am a Senior Citizen and have an I phone 11 in perfect condition. Both stores on Blairs Ferry and on Collins road are the biggest rip off's I've ever had the displeasure of talking to. Both stores tried to sell me a new phone and a 3 year plan. Kept saying the phone was blocked and locked and stolen. Walked over right next door to Tmobile and verified that was not the case. The second store didn't even check to see if my device was locked and did the exact same thing. I WILL NEVER EVER GET VERIZON . I am going to get my grandchildren to cancel and NEVER USE VERIZON AGAIN. AT&T was the only provider who got me a 50.00 plan on my device and it took 10 minutes, whereas Verizon ran me around for an hour. I'm done ranting but cancel all lines this place is a rip off. read more

Very nervous about "wait time" when we first arrived to the store as the parking lot was packed and there were a lot of customers in the store. When walking in we were immediately greeted by an employee and were placed on the wait list with an expected service time of 20 minutes. This gave us time to browse the new iPhones, phone cases, etc. I would say we were approached by staff at around 25-30 minutes. The young lady who helped us was quick, knowledgeable, and friendly. I went to Verizon to upgrade my phones. The gentleman took my card information and when the payment did not go through I spent over two hours on the phone with customer service, one of which was the financial person who worked from home and was not able to take my payment over the phone. The customer service for Verizon absolutely stinks when it comes to customer satisfaction! If you are looking for a company that has a good customer service, this is not the company you want to e a part of. I even asked if there was a corporate number to call and advise of my complaints, they said I just need to go to the website and fill out an email. A lot of good that will do me if it's anything like their customer service! Do yourself a favor, run as fast as you can in the other direction to a competitor. Verizon offers senior citizen discounts. Not true! I called to get one for my husband and myself and they said just because you qualify doesn't mean you get the discount. They do a lottery and then send out offers to the people who get lucky and get their names picked. That is the craziest and deceptive form of advertising I've ever heard of! I told her if I don't get a discount we're going somewhere else. Whoever thought up this manipulation should be fired! read more

Verizon is typically known for it's stellar customer service, but not in this store. Jacob had no problem blaming me for not receiving my phone. He was less than helpful in helping me correct the problem. i ended up calling Verizon Wireless and received the help I needed to get my new phone. read more

Went and waited an hour and a half. Watched as 5 walk ins, who did not have appointments get helped before me. Then when called out on it David got rude and said because i was calling them out on their inability to help people in order that is was being argumentative and that I wasnt the type of customer they want and proceeded to humiliate me in front of the other customers and staff saying I was a bad person who was raising his voice, causing a scene and I had to leave. Fun fact: there are other carriers and even verizon stores in Cedar Rapids! Do yourself a favor and avoid this one like the plague. read more

Wow. I can't believe the attitude of the "manager" (I will assume that's who she was because she was telling the other employees what to do). I had previously purchased an iPhone online and all I had to do was go in to pick it up (after showing an ID). I walked in and saw employees helping other people there. I noticed a girl standing behind the counter leaning over her touch pad. I walked over to her. I stood there for a good 2 minutes and realized she was intending to COMPLETELY ignore me. I said, "Can you help me..or....?" Only then did she stop tapping her touch pad and look up (still not looking me in the eye) "No, that guy over there can get you signed in." I said, "Really? I'm just picking something up I already purchased." (I'll admit, at this point I was pretty annoyed. I had worked retail for MANY years and NEVER ONCE would I have treated a customer like this. At the very least she could have looked at me, said hi, and let me know someone would help me...or ask what SHE could do. If she had NO INTENTION of helping anyone, she shouldn't have been standing on the sales floor in plain view. She said to me at this point, "An in-store pickup?" I said yes, and by then the "guy" came over to us. She said, "Put him in for an in-store pickup." Already she was looking back at her touch pad ignoring me. He started to scroll down the list of people ahead of me and I said, "How long is this going to take, because I don't have a lot of time." He asks her "Can I just go get it for him?" She mutters, "Yeah," (never looking up) and off he goes. I stand there in front of her waiting for him to come back and she is back to ignoring me, and everyone else in the store. She had long dark hair and very long fingernails... He came out about a minute later (he was very helpful and was TRYING to do his job well) and handed me what I had purchased. I thanked him and walked out. NEVER going back there if I can help it. Only reason I did was because the phone I purchased online would have been delivered while I was away. That manager needs to be re-trained or let go. Absolutely unacceptable. read more

We had the worst experience possible. We were lied to about multiple promotions in order to try to get us to switch. We spent 5 months trying to get the local store and customer service to make it right, and we got nothing. Be careful with who helps you because they will lie to get your business. We are out $1200 in promotions promised to us, and are now going back to US Cellular. 15 years of being a US Cellular customer, we had no problems. We switched to Verizon because their deals were so good....Too bad they were all lies. read more

We, like a lot of these people, were not pleased. We were mislead or confused by all of the different products and packages when we recently bought new phones. Our first bill showed many items that were included with our "package", were actually not free. The insurance that we declined was also on the bill. All together almost $200 hundred more on the first bill, and $70 every month, than we were told when we signed the contract. It was finally resolved after several days of phone calls ending with one long call to the main office. They "allowed" us to send back all of the pieces we never would have bought there. We have purchased phones there for years and this is the first major issue we have had. Go over the contracts very carefully, make sure they explain everything and make you understand, don't be in a hurry. read more

I bought a new iPhone and watch for my wife, took 2 hours to get it all done. That's not the problem, after the phone was activated we were told how to set up the watch. We got it set up at home and it all worked except the wireless service, I called customer service and he was very helpful for what he could do over the phone. The store on Collins road did very good the night we were buying the phone and watch. I went back today 12\21\2019 and they were very busy, I was told it would be a 1 to 1 1/2 hour wait. I just bought a new iPhone 11 pro and iWatch and they don't work right, someone could have just looked at the account, I'm sure it is a setting that could be handled in short time. I will be moving my business account as soon as I can. read more

Stopped in to look at a new phone that was free with a new 2 year agreement. Sales rep showed me one and turned to walk away. Provided no help didn't even look up my account to see what I may qualify for. I had to ask him to come back and discuss phone models. He provided no answers. I guess the word free, turns them off. I went home and decided to call back and complain. That went nowhere with the manager. The manager did provide a good tip, you can sometimes get a better deal online, and pick up at the store. I did order online, but picked it up at the SW store. It was worth the drive not too have to deal with the NE store. SW store was very helpful. I stopped in again recently to see if things had changed for the better and add a 3rd line. Sorry to say it was just as bad. Sales Rep had the deer in the headlights look when I asked for any specials. Once again no attempt to reach out for my needs and help. I left the store and ordered through the Verizon call center. I received my phone the next day with two great promotions added to my account and a sincere appreciation for my business. Even the accessories were priced right. Brick and mortar stores are truly turning into a waste of time and gas. At least for this NE store. read more

This is an OK store, but they try way to hard to up-sell and push unwanted accessories. I went in there to help my mother purchase a basic iPhone 4, and the sales drone pushed the 4S VERY hard. They also pushed a battery pack and car charger. They couldn't get through their heads that these weren't wanted. I almost left and went next door to the BestBuy to get the phone, and I am not a fan of BestBuy. I almost forget. The band around the phone that makes up the antennas had a rather major nick in it. When I asked for a different phone, I was told that "the nick will be hidden by the case". read more
