Customer service is great - the employees are so friendly and quickly pick up on if you're a returning customer and build some great rapport. They are just as passionate about playing/using the goods that they sell, which we love to see! Card selection is pretty sweet in the way of Pokemon cards. They might not always be in the best condition, but their pricing is typically very fair when it comes to these kinds of shops, so we respect that. They don't typically have pricing listed on the card sleeve though, so you either need to ask or sort of make the gamble once they ring it all up, which is a bit peculiar. My favorite part of Video Games Etc is the fact that they are always running "sales" of buy 6 cards, get the 7th free or buy x amount of used dvds, video games, etc. and get your next one free. It's very similar I would say to 2nd and Charles kinds of deals and gives the vibes of being a smaller 2nd and Charles in general, which is lovely to see!

The KID took 3 hours, but he had a massive repair before me. When I went back, my screen didn't work. It worked well enough before, but now it wouldn't work at all. He said it was "due to the dust" that the board broke. I've had this screen fixed before, no issues. He broke my phone and wouldn't admit it. Then he had the audacity to offer a Samsung phone for $100 when I had an iPhone. I then proceeded to ask where the nearest USCellular store was at, "just down a ways" he said. I nearly jumped the counter! How was I supposed to find it when I had no cellphone due to him?! Turns out "down a ways" is just behind the building, across the street. Kid didn't seem like he knew what he was doing at all.

When I got there I was not greeted with much kindness, they said they would fix it and it cost $215. A few days later I got my ps5 back and it worked until about a week ago, towards the end of August 2025. The receipt I got said it was good for a 1 year warranty, but when I called they said it was only for 90 days. So I took it to a new place (Computer Reboot) and they said they will fix it. they sent me pictures of how the other place had it looking and how the new place fixed it and said that CPR did a terrible job, i definitely will not be going here for anything again.

The tech gave me the standard response to blow a customer off - "my investigation leads me to believe its a driver issue, but HP is bad about... blah, blah, blah. One of the issues was clearly a hardware related issue it was limited to 1 key on the keyboard and it was intermittent, but would get worse with use. Not a driver issue. Within 2 days of calling the shop called me and told me it was ready and that it was a driver issue. When I picked it up and said, "The keyboard was a driver issue or did you clean it and find a dead bug in there?" He mumbled something about it working now. The cost was fair, even it was a driver and not a hardcore tear down and rebuild, but the one issue that may have been a driver issue (touch pad quits functioning ) failed again within the 1st hr of use and the 3rd issue was likely not looked into (Laptop camera cant be found by apps), so it doesnt work. All three issues were documented and printed out for the tech when I left the machine. Verdict - The charge was not outrageous, so if any one of the things had been fixed I would not have written this review. But nothing was fixed so here it is. Administratively, communication was poor, ticket documentation is very poor. I emailed the business and did not receive a response. The shop space did not inspire confidence either - I know tech people can be "messy desk motivated" but as a customer I would prefer to see the customer facing business squared away and locked down. If you have serious problem wiht your computer hardware, I would think twice before committng here. If your budget sensitive and the issue is "easy" then this might be a good choice. PS, I was ready to buy replacement hardware for the keyboard which would have run the revenue higher but like I said I dont think it was looked at.

It gets better: That same day you drive 60 miles to take the broken phone back, thinking that it's just a coinsedense and you'll be able to make the next one work , (silly assumption on my part I guess). You arrive and the service is terrible, the worker is complaining about how she was supposed to get off of work 5 minutes ago, doesn't help you whatsoever, complains when you ask to see a certain phone, rolled eyes when you ask a question, and doesn't know a damn thing about the products she's selling .. Then finally you will pick out a phone that you fall in love with, you will think that it was just a one time thing (high hopes?), you trust them when they lie to you , and get home and try to activate it, then BAM. your carrier will tell you that the phone is not unlocked and it still connected with someone else's account and that there's no way you can activate it..... I drove over 200 miles for this to happen , then I call to talk to manager, no one would answer for an hour. When I did talk to someone, that could have cared less, (who was unhelpful and uneducated and useless to me for 1 minute), I dropped the call and lost connection to wifi, (because I was using an App on my "basically new phone") and guess what? No answer from me now.. They must not like being called out on their B. S. Don't trust them .
