I had an excellent experience with this Verizon Wireless location. While pondering upgrading my…read moreSamsung Galaxy S22 Ultra to the newest device S25 Ultra I searched on-line for phones and plans. Verizon had a trade in offer of $1000 to upgrade to the newest Galaxy. My old phone was in perfect condition and there were no issues but from my history with phones when things go bad I tend to have to upgrade immediately and they offer very little to no money for non working phones. A representative from this Verizon Wireless location called me. He told me that he saw I was interested in upgrading my phone but was wondering why I had not finalized my decision. He then asked if he could explain my options and walk me through different plans and devices. Thankfully Verizon's website has all the information you need to do everything online and explains everything very well. I truly appreciated the young man's call and if they did not close so early and charge $40 for me to come into the store I would have possibly did my upgrade in store. Either way the location provided excellent service. I strolled online for a few days trying to decide if I wanted my new phone mailed to me, have an associate come to my house and help me set it up for $40, go into the store and have someone do the upgrade also $40 or pickup the phone from the store and do it myself for free. I'm not sure when they started charging customers to come into the store for upgrades but if a phone cost over $1200 everything else should be free. I chose free and decided on having the phone placed in a locker at this Verizon location after I purchased it. I received an email once my phone was ready for pickup. I love that they have a locker pickup option and allowed me to get the phone at my convenience. When I arrived the store was closed. My pickup email gave clear instructions on how to retrieve my purchase from the locker. It was a painless process that took about 3 minutes, my phone and receipt were in a bag inside when I finally opened the locker. Although I did not have face to face contact, this Verizon location exceeded my expectations. I left feeling confident in my purchase and extremely satisfied with the service provided. I will definitely return to this store in the future if I need help with my phone or to purchase accessories.

Over half an hour passed as I sat patiently. I asked where is my salesman. They couldn't find him. He never even started the transfer so someone else gave me instructions to do it myself.

I don't consider myself a computer/networking expert but I have a passable amount of experience with providers and technology. I currently pay over $60 for a 16Mbps connection. This is more cost than I have ever payed for an ISP and lower bandwidth. I have been running speed tests at different times throughout the day. I use popular speed test sites and also a site recommended by ComSouth that connects to the local server. I have never received 16Mbps. To be honest I only receive over 4 Mbps between 6:00am and 7:30am before I leave to go to the office. Perhaps I should only pay 25% of my bill? I am very displeased with these results. I do however think they are courteous and willing to attempt to help customers, but I don't believe this courtesy includes being able to fix this issue. I am still attempting to come up with better options in the area.

Kelly did not even care to take up the time with me to show me how to operate the equipment plus edit the videos. One day when I was tasked to film a football game, I became ill to the point where I was about to pass out at a location where I was filming a previous event, so additionally, I called Kelly to remind her that I would not be able to film the football game because I almost fainted and passed out. You know what she told me after I mentioned that I was Ill and was not able to film the game. She told me to never call her and hung up the phone. I felt so bad on the inside and out because I was not at fault over the illness I endured. Kelly has no care in the world. I am truly glad that I no longer serve as a contractor because the experiences I encountered with Kelly were awful.

First time they tell me there will be some outrageous start up charges and fees. I rent cable for a living and I know it doesn't take anything but screwing the connector back on at the ped or the connector at the pole and hooking up a router, next time I call they say I would have horrible connection which is incorrect my family members previously rented this home and had this service. The said it was the quickest connection they've had. The next time I call they say they will have to send a tech out to see what type of connection I can get and to leave my phone number. Do they ever call back no send a tech out no. Only internet service where I live that's reliable. Very disappointed.

PSTel's phone service tends to be just as bad given my experience with it in a rural area (Macon county). Lots of static and hum over the phone. As for internet service PSTel only provides its rural customers with ADSL over the same poor quality telephone lines. It's advertised as 128 kilobit service but speed tests reveal it to be at best in the 80 kilobit range. Basically it's comparable to internet service back in the mid to late 1990s. Very slow. Supposedly the company could lay fiber optic cable to its rural customers but I seriously doubt that will happen (it's a money thing). If you want quick internet performance you'll have to use a satellite setup from HughesNet or Viasat. Basically I think PSTel should adopt retro ad futurum as their motto (that means backwards into the future).
