I really want to love this building because the location, the apartments, and the neighborhood are…read moregreat but the management makes it almost impossible. Management & Staff The turnover is unbelievable. In just over a year, I've seen more leasing and management staff than I can count, and the professionalism never improves. A perfect example: the gym. It's marketed as "state of the art," yet it doesn't even have basic equipment like kettlebells. I've been asking for nearly a year. In July 2025 the regional manager told me they were ordered then that I in November I found out that wasn't true. Now they're supposedly coming "this winter," but I have zero confidence. The concierge team is a mixed bag some are downright unprofessional, while others are wonderful. Unfortunately, Greystar burns out the good ones by dumping way too much on them, so the people who actually care never seem to stay. Amenities The rooftop pool is tightly policed with three-hour reservations... just to sit on old, worn-down furniture. Guest limits are enforced unevenly, and it's frustrating to watch rules applied selectively. Communication is also terrible. People have literally stepped out of the shower to find window cleaners outside their glass because management didn't give notice. Even after residents complained, it took over a day to alert the building. There was also a situation where a child defecated in the pool something that should have been communicated immediately, but wasn't. The cost of working is also problematic as some people pay $200 but some of us pay $300 which is insanely expensive. $250 should really be the maximum! Packages, Fees & Overall Experience Packages routinely go missing, get damaged, or in the case of refrigerated items are stored improperly. The building refuses responsibility even when items are clearly mishandled after delivery. On top of that, residents are forced to pay rent and utilities through Conservice, which charges a $6 monthly fee just to pay bills - a cost Greystar should be covering, not residents. The sad part is that I love my apartment and the Union Market neighborhood. My neighbors are friendly, and this could be a true luxury building. But after living in a real luxury building in NYC for years, this doesn't come close. I'd move if it weren't such a hassle - the unit and location are the only things keeping me here.

have lived here for 3 years, cannot wait to move out. Save yourself the trouble and sign elsewhere…read more Management here has zero integrity, will treat you like cattle, and go out of their way to ruin your day so long as it helps their bottom line or just out of spite Over $10,000 of my personal belongings have been stolen from my car and my rental space on two separate occasions. Both times, management delayed cooperating with the police until the footage had been "automatically erased after 7 days". The same thing happened when the elevator door accidentally closed on my dogs leash, separating us on opposite sides of the elevator door. It began traveling upward which began choking my dog until her collar broke, injuring her and my hand stuck on the leash. Again, footage mysteriously "could not be located" despite multiple cameras in both the hallway and the elevator. Conveniently footage could not be located by the time I got legal representation The "luxury" apartments are like lipstick on a pig. Flooring, fixtures, and appliances are falling apart after less than three years. In a relatively new building, our unit has experienced multiple sprinkler leaks in the roof causing dozens of gallons of water to flood from our ceiling AC vents, lights, and power switches. Management tried to brush this aside and tell us it was normal. We had to twist their arm to get them do do mold remidiation and drying. Entry fobs are repeated de-programmed leaving you locked out at all hours of the night and staff is incompetent at reprogramming them. Same thing for parking garage entry gates. Instead of sending an email, they will put a nonremovable adhesive sticker on your car and mess up your paint as their preferred method of communication. When you have an issue, they make sure to not have a single phone number available other than the corporate line or the front desk, who likely won't answer and isn't able to do solve almost any issue beyond writing down your name and unit # They are wildly unprofessional and do not show any integrity when dealing with their tenants. Following an argument where a Greystar employee was speeding through the parking garage and almost hit me with their car, the employee used their system access to find where I lived and leave a threat on my door. They will "lose" your mail, hide security video to cover for their employees' theft / their own liability, and then try to throw a pizza party as if that makes up for it all. They have done nothing to address the MURDER in the building or theft of tenant's possessions, but they spend all their time cracking down on tenants for whatever minor infractions they can find. We made the mistake of resigning a lease once, you should save yourself the trouble and avoid signing a lease in the first place

I am beyond done with this building/management. This ROACH INFESTED building is a dump. I've left…read moreinternal reviews but it's time for a public one. 1. Management here is unresponsive. You can email all you like but you will not get a response. To date I have only gotten one response for issues I've reached out about and when I did get a response the Asst Manager said I needed to email a specific address, which I did and have those emails in the my Hecht's communication folder. Being gaslight like I'm a dummy who can't email. Ok. They are never available, either on a call or in a meeting but never free to actually speak to residents. 2. This building has ROACHES AND MICE. Hallways, stairwells, amenities and even units are having this issue bc of how dirty this place is. Keep in mind there is a bakery located downstairs that sells pastries to the entire DMV area. The main building cannot be the only area with a pest issue when the bakery is a source for food. 3. Amenities are apparently being charged at an hourly rate. An hourly rate for broken amenities and roaches throughout the area. I've seen the roaches and to date items are still broken. And you want $150 an hour to rent? Is the money going to something else bc why is nothing fixed if this is the rate you're charging. 4. Walls are THIN. If you like voyeurism through sound this is the place for you. I know everybody's business bc of how thin these walls are. 5. Units are ill kept and not properly turned over after move outs. I moved two hours to this building only to arrive to a dirty unit. Imagine driving for two hours and having to hold your move in so you can spend another two hours cleaning your unit. I told staff, nothing was done and no one cared. 6. The loading dock is DISGUSTING! The lack of oversight and maintenance is why it looks the way it does and why any/everyone can access it. The trash is here, left over furniture is here and the pigeon nest that smells like poop is here. Again, all sources for pest infestation the building is seeing right now. Again, there is bakery in this building right next to the loading dock, I would never eat from this place or anywhere it sells to. 7. Dog owners can do whatever they want here. The pee on the steps when you enter is pretty much a Hechts staple. Flies are everywhere in this area along with mice bc dog pee is an attraction for these types of pests. Notices never go out about this, and no one stops them. I've watched management, security and concierge watch ppl let their dogs pee there and they don't say a word. 8. The foam padding between the concrete in the garage ceiling is literally falling and hanging throughout the 6th floor. Its clear maintenance is being deferred in the building but especially in this area. If you're an engineer reading this I'm sure you understand the concern here. It's so bad that if it's raining outside even in the garage you will need an umbrella to get to your car bc water pours in from the 7th floor. 9. The elevator in the garage is either broken, or has throw up and pee waiting for you like it did this morning. Or during the winter you will have homeless people sleeping in the waiting area or doing drugs. Just depends on the season. And yes, I've witnessed this multiple times. 10. The homeless get tenant treatment at this building. This morning 9/17/26 someone came in and asked to get coffee. No offense at all but this is advertised as a secure building, allowing non tenants to get coffee in an amenity for residents is crazy. 11. There is no guest parking. Even though our leases states there is guest parking and passes are provided there is not. And this language should not be put in the lease if we don't have it. All in all this place is an overpriced, roach and mice infested dump that delays maintenance and allows those who are dirty to live as they want in this building. Live ANYWHERE but here. Or if you like roaches and mice by all means this is the place for you. My next review will be to DOH and DOB. That's how NASTY this building is.

The Whirlpool appliances, fixtures, and counters are good quality and the units are hardwood (laminate) throughout (no carpet, thank goodness). The leasing process went smoothly, I worked with Ndidi and she was kind and answered my numerous questions over a period of several weeks. Everything is done online, no paper. Be sure you reserve the loading dock well ahead of time when you move in. Ndidi and the staff love chatting it up with residents, making it really feel like a community. The concierge are great with packages and don't mind when people pick them up late at night. Be aware that your rent doesn't include any utilities but trash, water, and pest control are cheap and get added to your rent each month. I've yet to pay an electric bill so I don't know what to expect there, and there is no gas (sorry chefs - but the range has a ceramic glass cooktop, not coil, and for someone used to gas it works very well for me).
