We had over 4 weeks standing reservation for our furbaby to have Thanksgiving daycare day. When we called we made absolutely sure that 1) there was room for her 2) she was guaranteed accepted as it was a holiday and we wanted to make sure beforehand making plans. We confirmed with the young lady at that time if there was any holiday hours changes for pickup/drop-off times, prices, and if anything else was to be expected. She again assured us that our pup would have a place to spend her holiday with friends. On Thanksgiving day we walk in through the door only to get notified they were turning her away because they were at capacity due to taking in too many. It's 2025, with technology nowadays and nobody can be bothered to call?! THEY HAD 4 WEEKS MIND YOU! and we get told Thanksgiving day as we WALK THROUGH THE DOORS?! How does anyone expect to make any plans with that kind of time frame?! Absolutely unprofessional and disrespectful that a business can't be managed with an ounce of decency to it's customers to give them enough notice to make other plans, but thats besides the point, since her place was RESERVED EARLY there SHOULDN'T HAVE been an issue about her getting in because her spot was held for her. read more

Unfortunately our dog broke his leg here on his 4th visit. He should not have been out in the front area without a leash on. I hope and believe that they will take the precautions to keep this from happening again. We used to love coming here, but will not be back because of this incident. I wouldn't recommend this place for boarding. It seems like they take in more dogs than the staff can really handle, and that affects the level of care. The time before last, I got back almost all of the food I had carefully packed for my dogs--enough portions for each day--so I have no idea if they were fed at all or given the wrong food. When I emailed Vera's about it, there was no apology, just a message saying they gave my dogs their own food instead of what I brought. The next time I boarded them, I got a call the night before pickup saying one of my dogs was out of food. That dog only gets fed in the morning (which they know and is written in the notes), and again, I had sent the exact amount of food. I also always ask that my dogs be fed separately because one of them will eat the other's food, but based on what happened, I doubt that's being followed. After these experiences, I won't be taking my dogs back. I just don't feel they're getting the proper level of attention and care. read more

My dog was TERRIFIED the fourth time she attended doggy daycare here, yet I have no idea what occured as their cameras were "down". And after 9 months they STILL haven't fixed the issue. I also found out neither she nor her friend (neighbor dog) were fed that day in question. Now they are refusing to refund me pre-purchased days despite admitting their staff and equipment operate on a "small business budget" and they don't have the ability to repair or purchase a new camera - a quote from assistant manager, Savannah. I'll be filing complaints with the city and insisting on increased inspections via Oklahoma City Animal Welfare Department. read more

My dog, George loves this place and all the friends he's made there. He knows where we are going as soon as I ask him, "George, do you want to go see your friends?" His tail starts going 100 miles an hour he runs to the door. All the folks who work there are so good with him and they really take the time to know each dog's personality, what they like and how to relate to each one. George has tried other daycares, and they were ok but Vera's is the best and the only one we go to now. Everyone treats him like they would they're own dog, and I see the same with other dogs as they come and go for the day. read more

Highly disappointed in this Okc place. We typically have no problems, but this time my poor baby came home with burns on his ball sack which definitely happened sometime during the boarding. They claim to have no sidewalk where he was so he couldn't have gotten burned, and offered no help, no nothing just they aren't sure where he got it and it could be hot spots. First of all I know what a burn looks like and secondly they don't appear out of thin air. Beware if you're taking your dog there during the hot summer cause they will pretty much have no answers for you if they come back with burns. read more

This review was from my stay in the summer of 2018. Our dogs were well taken care of and had a great time at Vera's. I loved that we could see them on camera while on vacation for two reasons. 1) so I could check on their wellbeing 2) so I could see how they interacted socially with others. It was always good for a laugh to see my two dogs engage with others or avoid engaging with dogs that were a bit too curious. I often saw the staff checking in on the which was a comfort too. The reason I give them a kudos is that my pups came home well adjusted which mean they were overstressed in this environment. The place I used to take them too left them on edge and with the runs. Thank you for responding. So I had to take him to the vet AGAIN yesterday to actually treat these spots. The scabs he had were old, if it was from scratching or whatever somebody should have noticed. You said you did in fact notice Saturday, which if you are in fact "watching" my dog for the low price of $350 it should have been noticed earlier, and still nobody notified me. I had to get him out to the car to see what happened to him. Hes never had hot spots before and the vet said yesterday hot spots on the ears happen below the ears not on the scruff of his neck. And thank you for calling me back after news 4 called you and offering for me to take him to your vet, not happening. I'm still shaking right now I'm so mad because you are not taking ownership, have not said you are sorry this happened in your care once, and I'm going to get to the bottom of this. Can I have the video surveillance of his stay on your care. The simple fact is my dog went in one way, came out a totally different dog and nobody EVER notified me. You dropped the ball. read more

We love Vera's and have been bringing our pup Ralphie for 3 years now. He loves it there, so much that we can't say Vera's or Daycare because he gets too excited and thinks he is going right now. Everyone who works there makes us feel like he is well taken care of. Ralphie is good about letting us know when he isn't happy with a place he has been, the first groomer we took him to he didn't look us in the eyes for 24 hours after, we had betrayed him. Be aware what it means when they tell you that "in tact" pets have limited playtime-- limited playtime actually means that you loving furbaby will only be allowed outside their standard 4 X6 room when the other dogs are inside. Spayed and neutered dogs play outside all day long and only go indoors during their meal time. To me that means my poor old guy only gets to go potty 3 times a day. according to their website all dogs come inside for the night at 6:45pm. This is ANIMAL CRUELTY!!! There are no doggie doors in any of their rooms that lead outside to a separate dog run so they can go potty by themselves! . A staff member has to and take them out (don't know about your dog but mine goes out a whole lot more than that). It was suggested that my dog could just relieve himself on a pee pad- - in his 4 x 6 room all day long. My dog passed the companies behavior interview which indicated he was not aggressive . He is 16 years old, can't hear and has bad eyesight. I doubt that he would even be able to mount a SPAYED female if he tried. No exception, period. I cancelled My reservation for ANIMAL CRUELTY and you know the Manager Stephanie actually sent an email to my adult daughter telling on me and said her I misunderstood the limited playtime explanation during our interview. There was no misunderstanding, I wasn't told until after I made the reservations. read more

I don't know what has happened, but I boarded my baby there in the private suite for 6 days. She has had diarrhea and throwing up since the day i picked her up. It has been over a week and she hasn't gotten better. We will be going to the vet in the morning. I think she got something there :( read more

I boarded my 9 month old goldendoodle for the first time last weekend. He was happy and healthy going in but when I picked him up he was not the same dog. After getting home, I noticed he smelled awful and was favoring his back Paws. His puppy bed was soaked in urine, which was a surprise because he's completely potty trained. He was extremely upset and wouldn't eat or drink. My puppers wouldn't leave his Paws alone or walk on them so.we made a visit to the vet first thing the next day. He has dermatitis a fungal infection. My sweet puppy is now miserable. We won't be boarding with them again. read more

I first want to say I don't do many reviews. But I wanted to take a moment and thank the wonderful girls and staff working at Vera's. The staff knows my dogs names when they walk in and they take great care of my furry family members. So, why the 3 stars? maybe I am being a bit critical but their web based camera system leaves a lot to be desired. I find it frustrating to just pop in and get the error message "Its nap time check back later". Fix the poor camera connection and blurry set up and I will bump this to 5 stars!. I loved that I was able to see my puppy during the day at play time. The people seemed super nice, and my dog was excited to go again.

Called on Tuesday to make an appointment for our dogs to be interviewed and the girl I spoke with asked if Friday or Saturday would be preferable. I said Saturday so we could be with them and see the facility, she was super nice and said ok great how is noon? I thought it was kind of odd that it wasn't during their regular hours but the employee suggested noon so I didn't think much of it. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday go by. Now this employee had taken my name, number, the dogs names, and breed along with my appointment time. Saturday comes by and we are super excited because we have heard great things and we loved all of their options. We drive 35 minutes with two large dogs in the back to the location. When we started the drive I called and left a message to verify the appointment but got no call back. I get to the door and it's locked. I can see someone behind the counter so I call stating I have an appointment at 12:00. A few minutes later the door opens and I'm told they are closed. I explain and show my caller history to the lady and she goes back to speak with someone. She comes back out to reiterate that they are closed and I tell her how far we drove for our appointment that I made on Tuesday. She goes back to get someone higher up. 2-3ish minutes later another woman comes out and apologizes stating they have no access to their computers and that they are closed. That I can call back and reschedule. We are very upset that no one verified the appointment or even thought to call to reschedule once the employee had taken all of my information down. They didn't offer any solutions to the fact we have two large dogs and almost 40 minutes from home with no where else to go. Will never be back and will never refer them. read more

I took my dogs in to be groomed Friday, and the groomer, Kayla I believe is her name, did not even attempt to follow the cut specifications I asked for. All three dogs were given the same shorn haircut. Communication is also very poor. I left two messages on Friday, and was told that the groomer would be getting in touch with me today. She didn't call, nor did the shop answer any of the multiple phone calls that we made. read more

We boarded two dogs with Vera's Posh Paws on NW Expressway, for 7 days. We were told that our two dogs, 5 lbs and 15 lbs would be in with teacup to small dogs. We opted to purchase the doggie cam to watch our precious pups. Our littlest couldn't work the door to go in and out, it scared him. Many times he was stuck out side, thankfully it wasn't the heat of the summer, I called once and they said they folded the doorway back so he could get in, but the wind blew it and scared him. There were bigger dogs in the same run as teacup/small dogs and several times I saw him surrounded by bigger dogs, in hindsight I should have called again to voice concern. When we picked them up, the little dog had bruising all over his back , I was told that they thought he came in that way!!!! The manager called and said she would review the tapes, she never called back, we called her and she said she did not see any place where he would have gotten injured by big dogs, sooooo he did it to himself????? We paid $30 per day to keep our dogs safe, and he came back with bruising all over his back. I do not recommend this place to care for your precious pups. read more

We have been customers of Vera's Posh Paws since they opened. The staff has been fabulous and we love them all. My issue is with a deceptive Specialty Treatment sign and the poor customer service I received in response to my complaint. The sign does not say the charges are in addition to the regular grooming charge. After being charged twice the price we expected we addressed it with the manager and she just argued with us and said she would have the owner call us. After waiting a month for a phone call I emailed the owner. When I finally spoke with Vera she offered to refund our money, Thank you Vera, but my concern was the deceptive sign and poor customer service from the manager. Vera assured me the sign had been corrected. When I brought our dogs in for day care the old sign was still there. I called Vera to express my disappointment at which time she said the services were voluntary and I need not purchase them. I returned to the facility to see if I was incorrect and owed them an apology. When I arrived I found they were kicking my dogs out of day care! The point is whether I purchase the services or not, the sign is deceptive and should be corrected to prevent other customers from the shock of extra charges and customer concerns should be addressed with respect that is basic customer service. Rather than correcting their sign they chose to loose a long time customer. How sad. read more
