While vacationing at the Omni, we tried this place for a birthday dinner. From the moment we walked in, this was a great experience! The venue itself is in the tennis court section which ironically was quite calming. Waitstaff was extremely helpful and attentive throughout the meal. They start you with a focaccia bread and two tapenades which were delicious. They make pasta fresh here daily and also rotate the menu seasonally so all the dishes are seasonally fresh. We tried the crab dip ($22) to start, which tasted fresh and was quite flavorful. I tried the grouper for $48. This is a dish that is always on the menu and was quite flavorful, hearty, and well flavored. Highly recommend! My husband tried the steak for $55 and felt it was good, not great. My children tried the pasta with butter and loved it. As it was my birthday, the waiter surprised us with a small dessert with a candle for my family to sing happy birthday which was a really nice surprise! This is a real splurge meal and it feels like it. read more

$59 for a tasting menu that also includes amuse bouche and a piece of chocolate and macarons to end. The price is right, not too high. Great service. The food is good but not great. We enjoyed the duck. We liked the pasta and the tomato and melon salad. The arancini was alright. read more

Loved the atmosphere of this place and the host and waiter were so friendly. I had this squid ink pasta with shrimp. It was so very unique and delicious. The rest of my family had different things they all enjoyed. Definitely check this place out. read more

Very expensive and food is average. We ordered Chicken Parmesan and it was $29 for just the chicken that did not include any pasta. I think past was another $15.00. My wife and I split a nice portion. But was very average flavor. Also, we had to ask for extra parmesan cheese. You would think they would offer when serving. We had to find the waiter to get the parmesan cheese. Not very impressive for a high end restaurant. The service was adequate, no complaints. read more

The food and service is phenomenal!! The menu changes seasonally and we love the appetizers. Right now the 10-year sourdough and the baked green hill cheese appetizers were so great we ordered them two days in a row! The seasonal apple cider mule from the cocktails is my favorite, it tastes like a hint of fall and so refreshing. Highly recommend! The bartender / waiter Jeff is so friendly and gives exceptional service highly recommend him! read more

All I can say is wow! My husband and I came here to celebrate our 7 year anniversary and Shawn the bartender made it the best night ever! I started with a tiramisu martini that was heavenly and my husband adored the mezcal margaritas! We shared the octopus appetizer and it was perfect! I just wish it had been bigger! We also shared the blue crap drip. It was good, but didn't really feel like a dip. It had a lot of spinach and artichokes in it. There wasn't much dip texture. It was still good. We also shared the diver scallops with mushroom risotto. This dish is heavenly!! We ended the night with complimentary dessert! read more

This is definitely Amelia island's finest restaurant. We were staying in the Omni hotel resorts and this was place was strongly recommended. So glad we tried it out. The moment you enter the restaurant you will get a fantastic service, delicious food, and an enjoyable evening with friends and family. We were a group of eight so made reservations ahead of time. You can make reservations right from the Omni hotel website. In the beginning they start you out with delicious bread, olives and rosemary olive oil tomato purée. They make all their pasta in house and each pasta dish we ordered was amazing. The cheese board is a sure winner and a must order. Another favorite was the Florida Snapper. Loved how it was presented and the taste was exquisite. You cannot leave without trying out the desserts, we ordered the tiramisu and olive oil cake. Both were melting in the mouth and simply amazing. The tiramisu was one of the best I have ever had. 10/10 for me. read more

Cool experience and we had wanted to check out some of the restaurants at the Omni. A little hard to locate right off the bat, but we found it! (Maybe easier if you are staying at Omni). It was later in the evening so a little quite, but nice table set ups and the were creating homemade pasta at a station in the front to immediately entice us! We thought the overall meal was good, but didn't blow us away. For the price we feel like we could have gotten better elsewhere. BUT good portions, nice staff and the little "free tastes" to start were a nice touch. Pasta was very fresh and hearty! read more

I came here to celebrate my birthday. The staff was very nice, accommodating, and made the day special. The restaurant has a nice set up on a relaxing resort. We arrived early yet were seated with a window view of the tennis match outside. Our waiter was attentive although a bit difficult to understand at times. We went for New Year's eve and they had a pre-fixed menu for 99 dollars. Food was delicious. I loved the steak and mushroom soup. Fantastic! I would give it 20 out of 10. I was not a big fan of the pear dessert. Live music and a great ambiance. Kids menu was 52 dollars, I don't think it was worth it. One of my kids had spaghetti and meatballs, and the other one a fried piece of fish with mashed potatoes and a carrot, they didn't like it. It came with a cup of fruit and a scoop of ice cream. I really liked Verandah! The service was good. My cocktail was my favorite cocktail so far in Amelia island. It was really fruity and fun. I also got a shrimp bisque that was really good. Great seafood restaurant on the Omni Amelia Resort property near the tennis courts. It's classy and elegant inside. Our dishes were delicious. We ordered several appetizers, entrees and desserts to share. We all enjoyed the complimentary cornbread and scones. Oysters were delicious-fresh and briny tasting. Fried green tomatoes were just ok. I thought the tomatoes could have been cut thicker and the cornmeal crust crispier. Deviled eggs were a perfect creamy bite. My Swordfish was cooked perfectly and I enjoyed the ratatouille. Fried chicken was tender and with a crispy coating. Mashed potatoes were perfect, but the collard greens too salty. Shrimp Cavatelli was ok but nothing too special. I felt the dish was overly salty. The desserts were all delicious!! I can't even pick a favorite. The Orange Chèvre Cheesecake was citrusy and light. My youngest loved the Brooklyn Blackout Cake-it was a decadent layered chocolate cake. The chocolate hazelnut tarte was amazing. A chocolate shell was filled with a chocolate hazelnut filling. So good! read more

This place is expensive but perfect for a date, treat yo self night, or celebration! They make all their pastas in house and ours was cooked correctly (i saw in other reviews it was overcooked). Complimentary: -Rosemary focaccia and tomato olive oil. Comes with olives in rosemary oil...word to the wise...pits in olives if you're going to eat them...but wowwww the rosemary olive oil tomato purée (red dip) was amazingg. The server said they stopped serving the cornbread with honey and butter after COVID (they vamped the whole menu) -Afterdinner digesteeve -like an lemonchello but orange flavor...yummm (comes after dinner) Drinks: Pomegranate Boulevardier- tart and refreshing. hint of whiskey and orange Verandah Doli - the smoothest drink on the menu. Fresh pineapple juice. Sweet but not too sweet, almost tastes like a marshmellow from lucky charms Mediterranean Mule- light and bubbly. Fresh ginger! Appetizers: -Cheese Board-everything on it is a winner. The blue cheese (asher blue) is very strong so if you dont like blue cheese...maybe ask for 2 of the porter washed griffin (tastes like a smooth sharp cheedar). The porter cheese is reallyyyy good with the honey! Pimento cheese is good. -Burrata salad- not sweet (ignore that the menu says honey bc you cant taste it) but delicious! Heads up, no lettuce on this salad!! -Grilled sprouting project-wilty smoked lettuce...do not recommend unless you want 2 spheres of wilty romaine... Dinner: -Garganelli- lamb pasta sauce on curly pasta. Very good! My friend said the lamb didn't have a gamey flavor. -Ravioli- great if you like mushrooms! -Laughing farms half chicken-ITS REALLY HALF A CHICKEN!! Not gunna lie, this threw me off (see the picture; its really half a chicken with no head...and for someone who just started eating chicken again it was a bit intense) BUT it was absolutely delicious! The rice midlins underneath are really good...kind of a rice mashed potato. Dessert: -Chocolate mousse - very good!! Soft chocolate (more dense than a traditional mousse) The peanut brittle was more chewy than crunchy but yummy! read more

the restaurant was very pretty. our server, Sandy, was well informed and pleasant and efficient. she knew the menu very well. the food was disappointing for one of the higher quality restaurants on property. the crab dip was fishy and the accompanying bruschetta toast was over salted. their top selling crab crusted grouper was boring and over coated in a béchamel style creamy sauce. served with carrots that were perfectly cooked. their desserts seemed good.i ordered the gelato with sea salt, olive oil and honey (which i think may be from their apiaries on property} but again it was an over reach. read more

Menu mix of med and southern. Started out well with new fashioned cocktail at bar while waited for table. Meat and cheese was good especially the honey which Is made on property but went down from there. Neither our entrees were great as chicken though large was moderate at best. As a Mediterranean diet proponent, I am ever searching for local ,healthy food. After my( our) second dinner here I felt that I should do them a service by adding a review from a former Executive Chef's perspective: the service is hospitable without being invasive & the food, seafood as it were, is simple & unadulterated--- just as I love ! No over embellished garnishes & superfluous sauce smeared plates. E.g., grilled octopus as it should be & my halibut was fites simple( done simply correct ). So, try them as they need to have greater patronage ! Finis. read more

Bartender was amazing. Waited 15 minutes over rez time but waited happily at the bar. Crab dip is salty. Bread burned. Grouper would have been great had it not swelter under a heat lamp. Tagliatelle was mush. Your pasta person should never gave served that. Ever. Rigatoni uncooked by then seemed fried in butter which made the al dents crisper. The sauce was likely good before its time under the heat lamps. Price needs to reflect value and this food was subpar. Char on the brick rabe was fire. Tiramisu is trash. read more

One of the few fancy places that were listed at our stay at the Omni. We decided to have a nice dinner here and the ambience was just right. Appointments can be made but you could also walk right in just as we did. We were super hungry so we had ordered a crap ton of food. They give you some kind of delicious bread in the beginning as you wait, it came with some tomato paste and olives. I thought it was truly delicious and I recommend to skip the apps if anything. We had ordered the charcuterie board and the flaming parmesan cheese. The cheese was delicious initially when it was hot and melted but afterwards, it was whatever. The charcuterie board was good as well but wasn't given enough by the price we paid. Prosciutto was excellent but I could go without it if anything. My pesto linguine was good and I could taste it being freshly made but the chef was a bit heavy handed on the salt. Which kind of ruined the dish. My favorite course was the tiramisu cake, so so so worth it. Do not skip. Our waitress was such a delight. Everything was pretty dope. read more

If you like, old-school food with a lot of sauce on everything, then you'll like their food. It's a pretty restaurant.

Our first time at the Omni Amelia Island Villas and we love cajun and Creole food. We had a 530 pm reservation because we wanted to eat an early dinner. The initial girls who greeted us needed an attitude adjustment, they were unaccommodating and didn't seem like they really wanted to work or serve people. they said the restaurant isn't open yet and we couldn't come in and I said really don't you have 5 o'clock reservations?? we just wanted to sit and have a drink at the bar and wait until our reservation. They said we couldn't do that, we would have to wait outside. I thought this was very odd and these two girls, if they worked for me, I would've fired them. Luckily the bartender came to the rescue and came and got us outside and offered us a drink at the bar while we waited. Very nice man. he made me a watermelon margarita, which was outstanding. The food at this restaurant is outstanding. They have an amazing chef. We started off with a hot crab dip and finished the entire thing! Delicious we split a Caesar salad also very good and very creative. And we had the grouper for our entrée outstanding. This is one of their signature dishes, but well worth it. We continued to have the bartender as our server and he was great. He understood service and he was just so personable. Thank you. read more

We were super excited about this restaurant after hearing that they keep bees and have a farm that supports the menu. We also were really looking for fresh, local seafood. We had a 7:30 pm reservation and were asked to wait before being seated when no one else was ahead of us. We ordered the Bees knees and the Smokey watermelon cocktails and they were fantastic. Especially the Smokey watermelon one, really surprising combo there! Appetizers we got the charred octopus and that whole plate was really amazing. We've had charred octopus all over and this was hands down the best. Also got the pate. Totally different than any pate I've ever had, in a good way. It was more fatty and truly creamy with fruit and fruit gels. Really surprising, original and really good! We paired our dinner with a great Chardonnay recommended by our waiter...more on him later! We were here for the seafood so got the red snapper and the grouper entrees. Both great presentations and accompaniments were prefect! The snapper had gnocchi...very tender and creamy and the snapper was done just right. Tender, flavorful with a nice crisp on the outside. The grouper was also outstanding...it was topped with a blue crap/cheese that was crispy on top and the grouper had tender and fresh tasting texture. There were some obviously very fresh vegetables with each entree all done wonderfully. Honestly one of the best parts of the meal was the service. FOH Kevin, who was new to the restaurant, was there at all the right times and engaging and helpful and excited for our 25th anniversary. Our waiter was Haydar who was helpful and conscientious of when each dish came out, very charming and even arranged for a special treat for our anniversary. Ambiance was appropriate and the place feels roomy and our table felt very private. Loved it! Surprisingly for a meal we liked 100 times more than Bob's steakhouse our bill was $100 LESS! If you're staying at the Omni and want a special meal eat here. Ask Kevin to make sure Haydar is your waiter! read more

Was pleasantly surprised with Verandah. We were staying the Amelia Island Plantation Resort in early December and decided to have dinner on the resort grounds. Since it was off season there were only four other tables occupied so we received very attentive service from our waitress and the staff. The food was a little bit pricey, but the restaurant makes up for the prices with their 40 bottles of wine under $40. We ordered the mixed seafood appetizer, seafood gumbo and the steamed scallops with mashed potatos and mixed veggies. We brought a slice of key lime pie back to our hotel room and my husband devoured most of it before I had the chance to try it. All very good, but I wish my scallop dish did not contain beans. The beans were delicious, but our romantic night abruptly ended when I was in desperate need of some Gas-x or Beano. Side note: the restaurant automatically bills a 20% gratuity. I normally tip 20% anyways, but I was just surprised it was automatically added on a two top. Turns out the entire resort adds a 20% grat so expect the same for the spa, roomservice and any restaurant/ coffee shop. read more

During concours weekend, its tough to find dinner reservations for a large party, so luckily we found this place. Service was very good and the meal pacing was perfect. Ordered the octopus and Wainwright parmesan to split with the table for appetizers. Octopus was cooked perfectly, a nice char, but still tender. The cheese appetizer was their version of Greek saganaki. It comes flaming to the table and it was heavenly. I could have eaten another order for my entree and been satisfied. The wait staff recommended the grouper since its been on the menu for 30 years(?). It was very nicely cooked and the accompanying mashed potatoes and carrots were great. I thought the fish could have had more flavor since it was kinda bland; I guess keeping it simple makes it work for most. Was nice to splurge on a nice dinner, great facility, and top notch service; there's just too many other good places in the area to try before returning anytime soon. read more

My husband and I enjoyed eating at this restaurant over the years for different occasions and have never been disappointed.

This was ok in every way. The inside decor and ambiance was ok (but not good), the service was fine (but not great), and the food was ok (but not memorable in any way). We were here for Easter, so they had a set tasting menu, which all looked good, but was really underwhelming in actuality. The bread was clearly sitting for a long time before being served (the cut pieces were cold and stale), the salad was quite good, and the entree was way overcooked and mediocre (I had the grouper, my wife and daughter had chicken). Overall, we spent almost $500 after tip on dinner for 2 adults and 2 kids and 1 cocktail, and it was very underwhelming. I wouldn't typically leave a negative review, but I wish someone had left one before I booked here so I could have made a better decision and gone somewhere else. Overall, the staff was nice and is working hard, but I definitely wouldn't go again and would not recommend someone else going here. read more
