It seems silly to post opinion on Yelp, this is what a review is on this platform, about a water company. But here I go to add counterpoint to the 1 star rants posted here about "worst" company and "tripled" bills and "stealing" money and "too many contaminates" and yada-yada-yada. This is a regulated water utility in the state of Idaho that was once called SUEZ before it merged with or was acquired by Veolia, which is a company with French ownership roots but the US division of which was, and maybe still is, directed out of offices in NJ. There is nothing sinister about this, although I live in a conspiracy-loving part of Idaho where when SUEZ bought a local and failing water company there was a lot of buzz about foreigners wanting to take over our resources. Nonsense. This is as well run a regulated water utility as any in the state, all of their rate increases have to be approved by the Public Utilities Commission (which is a detailed process of rate case document filings and testimony, including the opportunity for public to testify), and the water is tested as required to be safe. Water in this area of Idaho is not as good as water in other places where I've lived, like Portland where it is Bull Run reservoir and Bend where it is Deschutes water that is maybe the best of all, but it is safe, good water available through Veolia. I have never had a billing problem with the company and rates seem very reasonable to me. read more
