Three Cedars…read morerecently regraded my backyard, and was to finish with "PREMIUM QUALITY / GOLF COURSE QUALITY" topsoil. The topsoil is nothing more than fill dirt! We have found broken glass, plastic, tile, large stones, pieces of aluminum, and even a spent shotgun shell in this topsoil! According to the owner (Ryan Thomason), all the topsoil was screened thru a 1/8" screen. Not a chance this happened! The ruts in the front yard from their heavy equipment were also filled with this same fill dirt. My front yard resembles a road crossing front to back! Three Cedars/Ryan Thomason has NOT responded to emails, phone calls, nor returned to see the mess, let alone fix it. They DO NOT stand behind their work! ABSOLUTELY AVOID THIS CONTRACTOR!

My husband will pick up plants and small trees for certain jobs in Spring and Summer, and I like to grab some random colored sedum or hostas to fill my gardens throughout the season. Everything we've purchased from here has thrived and always ends up looking beautiful! The helpful staff is always there to greet you, as they can usually be found watering trees and plants while tinkering around the property. In addition to the greenery, they have an extensive collection of statuary, fountains, gazing balls, wind chimes, and memorial stones inside the shop. Need a giant Buddha? They've got one. Need a stone for your pet's grave? They've got a bunch. Need a bird feeder? There are plenty to choose from! I live on a dirt street and Chura and Son's has been snowplowing it for all these years with hardly a complaint. Anytime I have had a concern of any type, I have contacted Mr. Chura and he has had it resolved as quickly as possible. I do not know what lays behind the negative reviews I've read, but this has certainly not been the experience I or my neighbor (who owns a horsefarm and uses Chura and Son's for groundskeeping) have experienced. That part didn't go as well as it should have, the weather turned up the heat, and for as much as I watered: still the plants were charred by the string of super sunny, hot days. Left with no choice other than to make another purchase-this time I was smart enough to ask Auburn Oaks to add delivery and install of the plants to my bill. WHAT a FABULOUS choice!! Over the years, I've picked up a few…read moreskills of my own and have taken a liking to plants and such, so when I get a chance to come to a local nursery, I have a hard time not buying everything. Coming here's a pleasure because their not a huge facility like Bordine's or Lowe's. Parking's tight but doable you just have to be careful when backing out since it's literally on Auburn Road, which is super busy and the speed limit's 50 MPH. They have a great selection of items to choose from, and prices are competitive and fair. What keeps me coming back is the staff. Their super friendly and are extremely knowledgeable. They also have regular sales and keep up with seasonal stuff like pumpkins, Christmas décor and other stuff as well. They also stand behind their products so if you buy a tree or plant, I think they will credit you if it does die. Don't quote me on that, but these guys really do stand behind what their selling. Overall a fabulous little nursery in a world of big box stores, we love coming here for just about anything!
