He was my angel who took his time to explain everything to me step by step. I felt very comfortable, he was extremely easy to reach, he helped me plan my fathers funeral and helped me transport my fathers body form New York to Florida. Bill is extremely patient, and compassionate. I felt like I knew Bill for years after spending an hour on the phone with him. He was there for me through the whole process. I was so impressed I even bought three estates he went above and beyond for my family during this difficult time. The funeral was astonishing, he went above and beyond the whole team was awesome Steve ,Scott, Holly and Jeffrey . This wouldn't be possible without Bill I highly recommend him he made this difficult time a thousand times easier.

If you do end up using them, please DO NOT have them ship the cremated remains. I live in Brooklyn, couldn't make the trip down to FL during the costly holiday season, so paid the almost $300 to have them boxed and shipped - trusting that Lemon Bay does this all the time. Almost two weeks go by before I think to reach out and ask about our shipment. They didn't tell us WHEN they shipped the remains or tell me that a signature is required and the USPS didn't even leave a note saying they had attempted delivery, so I asked Lemon Bay for an update and tracking info only for them to respond with "OUCH" as a greeting, then share the tracking number (which they should have shared the moment they shipped him - I would've stayed home!). So that's not appropriate for shipping a book, much less a loved one. Then started our nightmare. Every day for 2.5 weeks I spent on the phone and at the post office, but USPS did not know where the remains were or how to find them. Remains by their nature are NOT REPLACEABLE. We had no information or control or influence and worried he'd be lost forever. We did not have the remains for the planned memorial. My wife was distraught, understandably, every day dealing with the death of her father and THIS DISASTER on top of it. Finally the day after Christmas, the Post Office calls me. They found it. I go to get it. And the upgrade box for shipping that I paid for was absolutely destroyed, ripped through the USPS box, and the plastic bag of remains (with a hole!) was exposed - luckily with the cremation certificate still intact stuck in the box. I could not grasp the disrespect and still can't - please look at these photos. The USPS told me the box was so heavy it ruined the box in transit. I can only hope that Lemon Bay a) gets better at communicating with mourning families, using more empathetic language and offering tracking numbers and guidance immediately rather than after the fact b) finds a better way to ship remains so that they are never received in this state by a grieving family And I hope that other families, especially those that live remotely, don't have to deal with this nightmare on top of mourning their loss and a) either chose another cremation provider or are more proactive in asking for better communication b) go in person to receive their remains, rather than trust Lemon Bay + USPS to deliver them.

What a disappointing experience. Our experience is with the Bradenton Baldwin Brothers location…read more They mis-handled my brother from the very beginning. Although they use an after-hours answering service no one answered that number at five in the morning. I and the hospital tried to reach Baldwin Brothers early in the morning and after repeated calls I was told by the answering service agent that a funeral director would call us shortly. That call took forever and I was told to be available to speak with the Bradenton Baldwin Brothers office at 8:30. I was told they would call me. That did not happen. I had to make several calls after waiting over an hour past that 8:30 time we were given. We were told several times on the day of death that the care team was dispatched and that his remains were in the care of Baldwin Brothers. NOT TRUE. He was not picked up for over 32 hours after death. Excuse after excuse of why the things we were promised were not delivered. The body was not in the care of Baldwin Brothers the entire time as promised. They used another company to pick up and transport his body. So he was not in the care of Baldwin Brothers the entire time. The phones at the Bradenton Baldwin Brothers office went unanswered for more than 7 hours. We got to see the body three days after death and he was warm and his limbs were limp. The palms of his hands and his fingers were black and the smell was overpowering. Florida law requires that unembalmed bodies be refrigerated after 24 hours. Because of what we saw (we have pictures) and smelled made me believe he was not refrigerated. After a short identification visit with my brothers body we saw outside the back door of the office an old beat up van that was used to transport his body. They gave repeated excuses as to why the obituary was not posted on their website as promised or why the body was not picked up. We even got excuses as to why would have to pay $300 more than the contracted price or why the cremation permit was not filed for or why the death certificate was not signed. We then got excuses as to why the cremation would be delayed and why we could not have the ashes in time for the scheduled inurnment at the cemetery. STAY AWAY FROM THIS ORGANIZATION. YOUR LOVED ONE DESERVE BETTER TREATMENT THAN WE RECEIVED. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE BUT NOT TO GRIFFITH-CLINE. THEY ARE PART OF THE BALDWIN BROTHERS ORGANIZATION AND I WOULD NOT TRUST EITHER OF THEM. My family has hired an attorney and we expect to pursue this as a customer service issue through state regulatory and licensing as well as professional affiliations.
